Freezer's "Go Big Cox" - thoughts?

Hi all,
Here is my team:

Backs: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Malceski, Goodwin, Waters, Maguire
Emg: Ladson, Silvagni

Mids: GAJ, Murphy, Swan, Selwood, Barlow, Duncan
Emg: Bastinac, Banner

Rucks: Hille, Naitinui
Emg: Warnock, Trengrove

Forwards: Brown, O'Keefe, Higgins, Didak, Goodes, Pavlich, Podsiadely
Emg: Gumby, Hitchcock


I am averaging 2181 and have 14 trades left with $5,700 in the bank. I really want Montagna in the mids but not sure on how to get him.

If anyone has any thoughts or advice please let me know, cheers.

first do you want cox or montagna, you say cox in your subject and talk about monti?

it may take you 3 trades to get him at this stage... i prob woulda gone davis in for ladson and maybe jordan roughie for warnock. then upgrade bastinac the following week for montagna... he will become cheaper again this week and maybe drop one more time.

your team is pretty strong (but dont have alot of trades). so you'll need to rely on emergencies playing and not trading injuries unless they are >4 weeks i'd say

I have had the team name Go Big Cox since I started SuperCoach. This is actually the first year I haven't had him from the start.

I do need to upgrade my rucks but I want to wait for Sandi to drop. Hille and Nic Nat can still go up with a few solid games.

The only way I think I can get Montagna at this stage is with 3 trades, unless I use the MPP and swap Duncan into my FWDS, downgrade Bastinac and upgrade Higgins.

That would make my midifled complete but could be a waste of two trades.


Thoughts?

prob not worth it considering the trades you'll have to use... i'd eye off cheaper targets like lenny hayes... he'll come good

maybe just slowly bank cash with rookie swaps i.e bastinac - cunnington

then after a few of those upgrade to a prem mid who has dropped say rd 12ish

I agree that I may have to wait awhile or look for other options. I figure that I need another premium in my fwds and in the mids. My backs have been scoring well all year, so I will save my trades there unless I downgrade bench players -> although Goodwin is killing me at the moment.

I will probably keep one of my ruckmen and aim for Sandi.

So that means I need 3 premiums, but will prob need to do 6 trades to get the cash, which will leave me low on trades...

Can you believe that I'm 0-2 in my league, yet have scored the most overall points? I traded in Goodes for Peterson this week but it hasn't worked as well as I had hoped.
