I've avoided most injury correction trades but currently have 6 underperforming guys I don't no what to address..

Selwood
Griffen
Lumumba
Ryder
NicNat
Bennell

I have 2 tough league games this week

Thinking I could -

Bennell - Rocky BE 79 (via Bonts)
Lumumba - Burgoyne BE 40

Def: Shaw, Newnes, Lumumba, KK Oxley, Saad (McIntosh, McKenzie)

Mids: Fyfe, JPK, Gray, Selwood, Dangerfield, Bontempelli, Griffen, Cripps (Miller, Heeney, Krakouer)

Ruck: Grundy, NicNat (Read)

Fwd: Swan, Martin, Bennell, Ryder, TMitch, Tarrant (Clarke, Lonie)

Only $11,000 to play with...

My Backlines obviously average at best but always been planning on upgrading that line last.

Unless injured keep bennell. he has been alright, Griffen should be a bigger worry?

Out of that Griffena nd Lumumba are the 2 only major dramas. the others arent doing that bad..

Yeah Griffen is really the biggest issue i have just unsure what to do with him & limited $$

I have played around with these two options -

Lumumba to B Smith (Yes he has more cash to drop but the extra $$ allows me the next trade) and i can hope Saads back to cover Smith in the short term
Griffen to Rocky
This Leaving me $50,600

Or....

Lumumba to Lever
Griffen to Rocky

Leaving me $245,000

Any smarter more practical move im missing??

Mumba to Brodie Smith option better. Adelaide have ruled him out this week I'm pretty sure though.

Yeah I do agree that trading Lumumba to Smith does make the back line look better,
But..... it will only leave me $50,000 for any further upgrades.

I'm seriously considering with most back line players as up and down as they that downgrading HarryO to Lever leave's me $250,000 to finish off other lines...
And worry about the backs last.
With Def players so up and down I should be able to grab fallen premos fairly easily.

Am I stupid to have a backline consisting of..

Shaw, Newnes, KK, Oxley, Saad, McIntosh (McKenzie, Lever)

Hmm.. What else can I do??

I have similar problem players and all the trades I wanted to do came up short $$s. Ended up doing Griffen>Rocky then Nicnat>Buddy via Ryder in the FWDs. Lose the dpp in the rucks though. Not sure if you have the money to do that but worth a look. All subject to teams named of coarse.

I looked at the NicNat trade but I want to keep Ryder forward at least through the Bye rounds as the coverage I have will allow 2 rucks every week..

It's definitely Griffen gone and unsure about Lumumba. Whether to sit tight and hold trading a week or two with no great downgrade options.

Does anyone know about H.Goddard and if he will get a game anytime soon?

Well, you certainly can't trade all those guys; you're going to have to stick with some of them. I agree with The_Captain in saying that Griffen and Lumumba are the biggest concerns (although who knows when Bennell might get himself in hot water again). Selwood will come good and I think both NicNat and Ryder will improve as the season progresses. I'd still look to upgrade rookies at this stage although with no essential rookie downgrades this week, if you can afford to upgrade a rookie and either Griffen or Lumumba then it would be a good week to do so.

Although Melbournes draw opens up a bit now after playing top teams 3 weeks in a row iv ditched Lumumba vid DMac's ddp for Rocky.
Lumumba gets more attention than i thought he would at Melbourne.
