Anyone considering. I don't know what sort of role he is playing. But scoring well.

Has only averaged in the 70's for 5 years

Definitely considering but have same issue.  Is breakout on cards or just a fluke run of performances.  Dont know enought about him to decide but statistically if nothing has changed he should revert to norm over the year

redfield

I think he's the real deal. He's playing with a lot of confidence and Melbourne are improving.

Yeah a better Melbourne means their opponents inside 50's are more rushed which means easier spoils and intercept marks for McDonald.

Melbourne do have Freo, Sydney, Hawthorn the next 3 games though so it might curtail his scoring a bit.

Yep we'll find out if he is a legitimate SC option in the next few weeks

He is a key defender (taking the no. 1 forward each week) who is encouraged to take the game on - for anyone who is wondering what his role is.

Just not sure I can back him to maintain it all year. He's obviously up and confident at the moment, but the big shutdown jobs will inevitably come. Could well be similar to Hooker's fantasy year last year, then again,  could keep it up! Would back in a pretty cheap Hibberd or Simpson over him still. The top premium defenders always still fall in price, Shaw will too now, Smith could hit $450 etc.

having melb, syd and freo will work for im IMO the reason his scoring isso high is hes taking the opposition marks when they are coming into 50

tommy10

Was gonna bring him in last week for Newnes but decided to give Newnes another chance. Newnes will most likely get upgraded next week.

HotTiges

Interesting to see the 'supposed key backs' are scoring better then the others..

LordSneeze

Im holding off on trading backs in until around the byes. That way I should have seen enough to see who will be the real breakouts and not just a good run of matches.

Only ones id be willing to bring in before that I don't have are Hodge and Houli.

dmac07

Looks good, but would still take one of shaw, hibberd or bsmith at a cheaper price.

HotTiges

I have my doubts going fwd.he looks good but hes had the good scores..as mentioned i take a cheaper simpson or smith over tmac..already have labamba so dont want another dee there. .

sammy123

I have put in b smith atm

Ricochet

Could be doing a SThompson from a few years ago. Does have a tougher run coming up tho
