Had room for only 2x 200k rookies. Chose Cripps/Newton instead  :-\ Cripps -> NVB this week.

ill be going gaz to someone and cripps to VB

cant see cripps doing anything decent dunno if he will play next week.
At the moment same deal.   Cant see GAZ getting his mind right in one week.

I think you should try and get him in if possible. e.g straight swap from Brayshaw, Newton, Sheed and Cripps but if not don't worry about it.

Will go up in price faster than all the other $200K mids.
Has best JS.
Looks like a reliable rookie priced player to have on the field every week.
Adelaide are looking good so more scoring opportunities in a winning team.

No real negatives other than if he goes back into tagging role and pumps out 50's. Wright looks like the number one tagger, but he was subbed off last night (was it injury or form?). I didn't see the game, but not sure if NVB took over tagging duties when Wright went off but his scoring slowed down considerably in second half.

I have both Cripps and Sheed, so will wait on team selection next round to see who I offload for NVB.

If you can, avoid trading Cripps if he's named this week.  Carlton are going to rely on this young man and will pump games into him.

I agree. I'm looking at ways of turning Miller into NVB and keeping Cripps

+1
Carlton are going to have a shocker this year sadly and we could come last and they will use this year to get games into players like Cripps so that next year when we get the number one draft pick we can go all the way to the GF 8)

I'm thinking either Goodes to Oxley and Miller to NVB or Ablett to Fyfe and Miller to NVB.

Goosey

I'm thinking Newton to NVB, I have plenty of Melbourne players, but if Cripps is out again, maybe he goes first.

Started with him  8)

Me too, stayed away from the Cripps and Brayshaw NAB challenge hype.

Wanderer

Will most likely get NVB in for Sheed or Cripps.

How about if I don't use a trade given Sheed and Cripps have relatively strong JS and could end up being good cash cows?  Is it better to save a trade in this case or use it to get NVB (don't have enough money to trade Miller for NVB, which is the only rookie ).

The way I see it is that most people will have used at least one, two or three trades by round 3 (mainly correctional). Does having the extra trades up your sleeve later in the year outweigh the benefits of getting NVB in for Sheed or Cripps (considering they both continue playing games)?
