I'm not happy with Lycett's score over the weekend, and I'm fearful he'lll keep scoring these sub-80 scores. I'm thinking of upgrading him to Swan. Should I hold off or go for it before the Round 2 lockout?
Also, I'm thinking of a double trade after Round 2: Minson/Goldy to Leuenberger, then Cockatoo to T Adams. Any thoughts?

Lycett hasn't averaged over 80, you must have had some reason/faith in picking him over Swan to start with, which I don't think you can abandon based on one game... But yeah I think Swan was a no brainer pick really so you coud consider it a corrective trade but man... why didn't you start Swan over Lycett in the first place??

I've decided to use a trade, Lycett to Walker, with his easy draw up to Round 8, Thoughts?

I think it's a good move.

Yep, I'm convinced that Walker will go big against Collingwood, but I'm woried Lycett will go big against Carlton as well

Thinking of switching Belly from F4 to my rucks to replace Mumford with Tex Walker in the forward line. Next week is when we will want to get on players running hot ahead of their price rises, and I am anticipating using two trades in this way, and have minimal cash in the bank, 3k. By executing the above trade, I can pocket $185k to give me some flexibility for later trades.

So overall, I lose a player who will leak cash, I pick up one who will gain cash on the back of his 177, and has an easy draw up until round 8, where I can trade him into another premo plus I get cash to work with in the next few weeks (correctives). Thoughts?

If I had Mummy or Jacobs I would be trading, it's a no brainer.

I am going to wait a week on mummy ... He didn't tackle or anything in that game which is unusual for him
... He lays 3 or 4 tackles like he can and all of sudden his score is back where it should be

Cheers Bully, but to Tex? The other alternative is getting a gun in the mids instead using Lambert as the link. Lewis, Sloane, JPK, etc. Just like Tex better because any other way I would be significantly weakening my forward line, plus I won't have the cash to fiddle so much next week before prices change.

Tex is a friggen rollercoaster, and I would be in no rush to bring him in. It's easy to get excited, he just scored 177... But those points are gone, next up is collingwood, he played them in his first game back last year for 56, and then a second time he got 98. Then the dees who made a point last year of improving their defensive game, then the dogs who have some good defenders but lacking in the guts so he could see a lot of ball. Who knows. But ask yourself if you see him being one of the top scoring forwards of the year, my answer to that is no, and therefore wouldn't be bringing him in. I don't see him outscoring Swan, Gray, Dusty, Goddard, Bartel, Lids, Buddy, or Boomer, even if many of them had poor showings this one week. And I also think the list after these guys will be fairly crammed, as along with Tex you've got Ryder, Roughy, Zorko, Rioli, Dahlhaus, Bennell, Wingard, Bontempelli, and the older blokes like Chappy and Pavlich. That's a large collection of blokes who I don't think will be spectacularly different by the end of it all.

In TexR74's case, I sure as shower wouldn't be trading in Tex over Swan. BomberSam maybe slightly different as I agree with your idea on potentially dropping expensive rucks, but both of you look at it this way: Tex is 430k and this 177 will be in his 3 round average for ONE price increase. If you trade him in now and he scores 50odd this week he will basically negate that 177 from his rolling average. The idea of getting him in for his easy run to round 8 is short sighted, because what's your best hope? That he averages 120 or so up until then, bumps his price up into the 600s, but if he actually does that then you're not going to trade him, are you? You'd be mad to trade a bloke averaging 120. On the other hand, if he doesn't, which I would be inclined to bank more on, then you haven't gained much/any cash from him really and you still won't want to have him there in the final side, so you've burned a trade for no net gain.

If you already have Lambert then this is absolutely what I would do, far more likely to get consistently good scores from a gun mid, and I really don't see why people are worried where their cash is spent, if having a weaker forward line means you get the points from the mids instead, what difference does it make really? Lambert sitting on your bench in mids or forwards is a moot issue, so the question becomes who scores more and who is more likely to be a keeper out of Tex or a gun mid? Gun mid, all day every day.

In any case, NEITHER of you should be making this call this week. If Tex goes out and gets 100+ against the pies, then it's worth another look.

Backs:Malcevski H.Shaw Lumumba Goodes Mcintosh Birchall (Brown Saad)

Mids:Ablett Lewis Beams Fyfe Heeney Ellis-Yolmen Griffen VanBerlo (Vandenberg J.Andersen, T.Miller)

Rucks:Goldtein,Nic Nat (Cox)

Im thinking Goodes to Oxley.

I have most of the others on the bubble.

Im wanting to bring in Rance as he is providing a lot of possessions and run and he is a P.O.D. which im after.
Also Bontompelli looks a must have.

Just not sure how to get them in?Only way is by trading Malcevski or GAJ?

Any Ideas.

Sabretooth Tigers

 ::)

How about a little  sideways magic.   Deledio  to  Bont              Bumba  to  Rance  and pocket the change.
I'm a Tigers  supporter but with Lids being"managed" this year I'd rather have Bont. And in fact do.     ;)

Im set on Oxley So can only do one.Not sure about trading Deledio its only been 1 game and he is so consitent
