As I am not starting gaz my attention has moved to how I will get him in down the track. Am I crazy after seeing C Judd running on top of the ground again, starting him and using him as a stepping stone to gaz?

i think he's a viable option, although there are a cpl others that fit a similar position

Good to see so many people writing off Gaz  :D

Just my 2 cents here. When I look at stepping stone type players  judd -> ablett
A few things to consider
1. How long do I keep onto the stone when do I plan to throw
2. Do the bye match up eg judd round 11 ablett round 12..
3. Could I avoid eating a donut (they are not very healthy)

1st one is pretty clear keep till the bye round and then trade to your target player. (Ablett ;))

Keep judd til his bye
Problem being he has round 11 bye
No matter what you are going to receive a cream fill fat 0 from him.

I have to same idea in having a stepping stone in the mids
I'm using d.wells perfect bye structure, being round 13, give you maximum choice in who you can pick up.
Say Ablett get injured at same stage between rounds 1 and 11 or your not sure at that stage he's the best player to pick up. Eg price might be dropping whatever by having that stepping stone player in round 13 it gives you more players to choose from

Not righting the great man off at all but with there draw he's going to have a green vest on when they are well up and I'm more happy To pay 550-600

Gee, great write up!! Wells is the other option, also was looking at Whitfield. Could really break out

If Gaz plays he won't get the vest. He won't want it and Eade won't make him, unless they want him to finish his career at Geelong.

Cheers mate. Whitfield was going to be in my team from the end of last year.... then the griffin trade happen. haven't considered him since. i do see him improving but risky

Will he average enough to be a top 12 midfielder? Doubtful.

Can we trust he will get through a season without being "managed" or injury? Probably not

At his price is he a viable stepping stone? No. he won't IMO make enough cash.

For these reasons I cannot pick him.

I reckon Judd is in for his best year in a while. However, I don't think that will make him fantasy relevant, he's too expensive to make enough cash. I think his points per minute ratio will be huge, and very close to that of the top 10 mids, however he'll be used conservatively, say 70% TOG including forward minutes with the odd rest. No way will he be playing 100+ minutes a game.

!  :D         I'm liking CEY to play onfield for the little master in R1, still mad if you leave him out! But it helps those of use who believe in God :P

Might still be a stepping stone for another like Rocky or Selwood! Juddy.
