What is everyones thoughts on starting Gary Ablett?

I am becoming worried after he hasnt and won't play any NAB cup games and "is still wearing a distinctive fluro cap during training sessions to avoid full contact".

Don't get me wrong he is still very much within the picture because after all he is well god but like any player a proper pre-season often correlates to form in the real season.

Currently selected in about 57% of teams can we get a jump on the competition spending elsewhere or do we stay on the bandwagon? Discuss.

Mr.Craig

The fluro cap is most concerning. :P

Reminds me of 2013, his back injury and lack of pre season were putting people off then he came out and went 130+ in six of his first ten games for the year.

Yeah I remember this as well, such a hard decision!

Just have to wait and see have not seen him saying he is doubtful just media stuff saying that

Not such a big issue in AF, but in DT I'd be tempted to put him on the pine for R1.

Don't doubt him, if he's name round 1 lock and load.  We all know what happened to GC when he got injured last year, I'd say they are being incredibly cautios with him, but I'll have him on field as captain if named round 1.

Barra13

If he is not named though?

Football Factory

I have doubts but he's in my team at the moment. Don't really want to spend the money on captain expensive.

Allegedly in training he hasnt put his arm above his shoulder at all. Except for one fend off in a practice simulation recently. fleurescent cap is very concerning. You can be fit. But not match tackle bump fall fit as well. Concerned.

Hagebear

Have done a bit of reshuffling and now don't have him in AF or RDT. AF is isn't as important but hoping he might come down in price and become an upgrade target in RDT.

Mr.Craig

Right now I've got Ablett in AF and Rocky in DT.

Come the end of Round 1 there will be a mountain of coaches being smug about either having or not having those two so I figure I'm covering my bases this way. :P

Depending on how the mid rookies are looking, if GAJ is not named round 1 but is a certainty for round 2, might bench him for 1 week.

AF he'll have to go obviously, not sure for who yet.
