Well at least he can't run our list into the ground through that role.

Hahahaha

Sheedy is the best smoke blower of all time. Its what the Bombers need after this ASADA fallout. Perfect role for him.

Also, Sheedy is a legend. He could run a list in to the ground from any role if he really wanted to.  ;)

Kevin Sheedy announces Essendon may play new showpiece game but yet to find opponent

KEVIN Sheedy isn’t wasting time getting to work in his new role at Essendon, announcing plans for the Bombers to feature in a new showpiece game on the AFL fixture.

Sheedy will return to Essendon next week in a newly-created role of general manager, commercial development and innovation.

But speaking on Melbourne radio on Wednesday morning, the four-time premiership coach said the Bombers would soon announce plans to feature in what they hoped might become an annual showcase match on the AFL fixture.

While an opponent is not yet locked in, Sheedy set the game would likely pay tribute everyday Aussies who’ve endured tough times.

“Hopefully in the next week or two (I’ll) find out what will be planned out because I’ve got to sit down with the club,” Sheedy told SEN.

“I’ll have some ideas and innovations to try to put in place.

“I think there’s another Anzac Day and Dreamtime around the corner for us. We’ve just got to try to find the club that might want to be involved in that type of game.

“I think the game will be a fantastic opportunity to thank some of the Australian people who have gone through some tough times.

“And we’ll get that up and running. I think we’ll get a decent partner to play that against.”

Yeah I saw that Ricochet. Literally must of walked in the door and done it.

He knows how to generate those $$$$

Got to say though, the man was good at promotion. I imagine we'll start to see BASEketball type side shows at essendon matches

Wow, Sheedy admitted to staying 7 years too long. Took the fall for the bummed up Caracella, Blumflield and Heffernan trades.

Only took you 8 years to fess up Sheeds.... hahaha

We were percentage outside the 8 in 2007 when it was announced he was getting the arse. We turned up that weekend v Collingwood and got slaughtered and never recovered.

We did go from  3 1/2 wins to 9 from 2006 to 2007.

But ah well, that Matthew Knights fellow was so much better for us  ::)

IMO he should have stayed and groomed Hird to take over, than hypothetically this shower we now have may not have happened and we would be contending for a premiership.

All good in theory.

Yeah, but Hird wasn't interested when Sheedy was sacked. Hird was away from footy entirely. He came back because we were in disarray.

Now we are only in dire straights, which is a rung up from disarray.

Get ASADA out of the way, hopefully the boys at worst only miss a couple of weeks and then charge towards finals.

If we get a not guilty verdict, ASADA will appeal. And this will be drawn out even further.

If we get a guilty verdict, we are stuffed. Best case scenario is only 2 weeks off.

But from everything Ive read, and all the horn blowing, and the seriously seriously bullshower and circumstantial evidence that ASADA only needs to get a guilty verdict. 2 years is not out of the question. Especially if they want to dig their heels in. That will seriously pulverise our club. Players will walk, players will sue and kids lives will be torn apart.

I am hoping that Essendon gets the carry over 6month ban, 2 weeks off. And don't appeal. And everyone just lets it bloody die.

Im sick of hearing hateful and gutless ranting from both sides of the fence.
