I'm very able to cover his loss but am just wondering what your thoughts are on it? Running for overall at this stage.

Team as it currently is

DEF: Shaw, Gibson, Smith, Newnes, Saad, Oxley (Mcintosh, Lever)
MID: Fyfe, Pendlebury, JPK, Dangerfield, Lewis, Steven, Rockliff, Wallis (Lumumba, Krakeour, Mckenzie)
RUC: Goldstein, Naitanui (Read)
FWD: Gray, Martin, Bennell, Swan, Ziebell, Tarrant (Clark, Lonie)

Trades for this week were to rid Oxley and Krakeour, sub Lumumba to defence, sub Gray into the mids to cover for Rocky, and trade in Dumont and Franklin, so my team would've been

DEF: Shaw, Gibson, Smith, Newnes, Saad, Lumumba (Mcintosh, Lever)
MID: Fyfe, Pendlebury, JPK, Dangerfield, Lewis, Steven, Gray, Wallis (Rockliff, Dumont, Mckenzie)
RUC: Goldstein, Naitanui (Read)
FWD: Martin, Bennell, Swan, Franklin, Ziebell, Tarrant (Clark, Lonie)

Is this strong enough to keep working my way up the ranks? If not, what do you think my trades should be at this stage? Because if not, I'm generally stuck. Thanks a heap everyone.

Ps Please don't put this in RMSC as this is clearly valid as I'm asking about players and trades, have got a lot of my posts merged or moved and it's extremely frustrating - anyway, thankyou hahaha

Your trades are rock solid and your bye situation is looking very nice.  I envy your position.

Would I trade Rocky?  Not in your situation.  Cover is good enough.  A fit Rocky for the back end of the season could set you a part from the pack seeing as they are all probably trigger happy with trades.  Take advantage of your excellent bye/cover situation and hold out until R12 teams are announced.

As Batt said most in the top 1000 or so would be pretty trigger-happy with trades at this stage, however keeping Rocky could make or break your season. Keeping him through the byes means your team is a few weeks behind the rest in terms of being fully upgraded. The way I see it is if you traded him sideways to a mid prem you'd still only be making one upgrade (1 extra prem playing) this week but would be better set to upgrade again next week.

Brisbane saying Rocky out for 4-6 weeks. He came back early last time and paid for it, they will be more cautious imo so 4 weeks minimum. Granted his bye is one of those weeks he still sits on the pine for 3. I put him at 110 at least, whereas your cover would be getting potential 70s or 80s?  30-40 points x 3 weeks = At least 100 points. Risk of 30s as per Krak/Clark etc this week would ruin your season  :o

Imo if you have 17+ trades prior to this week you get rid of him and make up some ground. If you have less then you keep him and trade hard during the byes to save your skin and ride out the wave of potential injuries.

At the end of the day you've done an amazing job to be in your current situation, so trust your gut. Good luck mate!

If you stick with your structure and plan you are still in a good spot.

I would not trade Rocky this week. If he is still out in Round 12 (3rd week after injury) you would have to consider trading him then because you would only have 2 premium mids playing in round 12 based and Wallis.

Thanks heaps lads, will keep him then reassess in two weeks.

Just nervous that if I keep Rocky he will be protected a little bit more than he was to heal them properly and he'll end up with a 4-5 week layoff and play forward for the immediate time he's back in the side.

Waiting a week doesn't hurt at all, as Buddy was always going to come in so that won't worry me too much.
Byes will be the killer for everyone I think, and hopefully I can gain some ground as I've purposely set my team up well to handle the byes.
