Well time to get the team sorted again. Finished around the 2200 mark so will be nice to be up there again.

Team currently is:

Rookies are just placeholders for now. Thought of maybe Lynch forward but other rookies are cheaper and should score as good as. Not 100% sure on the best strat for the flex player. Go with a set and forget for extra points or cover in case vest candidate or another rookie to get the cash generation. Currently gone with a premo and leaves me 27.8k in the bank

Nice team to sit. Strategy for Flex position is work in progress for most.

Bring on the trial matches so we can get an idea on rookies.

Excellent result last season well done!

Yes, very solid team for this point in time, maybe if Coleman doesn't get up for round 1, you can work Peatling in?

Thanks!

Yeah have options if Coleman isn't selected. Will wait for the practice matches now before making too many changes

That's a very good side.. just be aware Gibcus won't be available Rnd 1 and beyond.

I'm thinking that the flex would be better served with a DPP? I have Travaglia in there at the moment, that score will cover 14 positions on the ground.

I tend to agree. am considering Sinclair for my flex..

Third ruck has to be the go at some point.

I think I'll put flynn there is he starts only ruck at WC.

If not I'll have a fwd/mid and a def/mid on my mid bench and put another top end mid only rookie in flex.

That way I can swap in any defender, mid or forward.

Sure, no need for DPP cover which is good. I'm actually going to start Flynn in R2 this year, the rucks killed me last year, think I'll pick Xerri at R1 and look for a price dip from Gawn down the track.

Yeah I wasn't too sure that about who to put in flex. I thought that the flex player covers all players on ground. ie: you're basically playing with 23 players and you just drop your lowest score. At least thats the way I read it so if that is the case would it matter if the flex has DPP?

Not sure but I thought it was line specific, like an emergency, but I could be wrong.

It's just a 23rd player. So if your flex outscores your F6, their score comes out of the rotation. In years gone by we haven't had the opportunity to run with that third ruck, if you get Xerri and Gawn and Marshall as top 15 playes again, you could have all 3 on field each week which will be huge.

Yes, nothing preventing one from starting all 3 from the get-go.

Pretty much, you just need to decide if they are safer than the available defenders and mids. I have been playing with structures, I might try one where I go with 3 premo rucks
