Goals
Main: Add/improve my 2024 draft hand. This doesn't have to be in the form of first round picks, it's just about adding a couple more picks earlier than lets say N70. I have my futures there which can be brought forward if anyone needs to split.
Secondary: Revitalise the list with some new players. My squad balance issues have largely been fixed, but it only takes one trade to unbalance things which then requires a second trade to fix them again 😊

Has received 4 votes. All coaches agreed touk is worth more, and/or this isn't the type of trade a perennial struggling team should be making... selling its best midfielder at a low, and buying Acres on a career high.


I have several thoughts. For a team that recently asked for a 1st round priority pick citing lack of success for the past 10 years, I'm disappointed it has opted to trade its best midfielder and in doing so dilute some of the quality it does possess.

I would dearly like to overturn this trade to a fail.

But I feel like I cannot, because I can't realistically enforce arbitrary trade restrictions on teams, which is what I would be doing if I stepped in here. Because I would be wanting Cape Town to fundamentally change the nature of the trade, putting forward entirely different players which I can't ask them to do.

There is no little sweeteners Cape Town could add to make me less disappointed about London choosing to dilute its best midfielder. I also have to recognise bringing in more starting midfielders is a need for them... so with gritted teeth, I'm letting this trade pass.

I don't think this trade does London any favours asking for a priority pick in future.
