I also have those same injury'concern' players but as ringo said looks like most have escaped anything serious.
Not sure how many trades you have but Salem could be out for remainder of season (SC related anyway) so think he needs to go. Or swing Yeo back to DEF

0 trades left, but that's the current plan. Can sit Humphries at D7, Dowling at M9 and Richards at F7 for the time being and keep my fingers crossed. Yeo has to get through training on Thursday night to play but he has moved back again which allows me to keep Humphries on the bench. Otherwise Humphries starts at D6

Good: Whitfield, Daicos, Stewart, Yeo, Humphries, Laird, Flanders, Zorko
Pass: May, Caldwell, Moore
Bad: Dale, Bont, Butters, Gulden, LDU, Green, Walsh,  Dowling, Grundy, Jackson, Heeney
Ugly: Rozee, English

It was a pretty crap week with my entire midfield underwhelming and a poor VC and Captain choice. Not much I can do with no trades so hopefully my team hits some form this week

I am looking at VC Bont into LDU this week, Richards comes on and Flanders on the bench. I'll play Dowling in the forward line and Humphries in the midfield, if there are any late swings I hopefully have enough time for Humphries to cover both lines and Dowling the forward line. Maybe I am better off using El-Hawli for my loop

arbel

What's the reasoning behind Flanders to bench? He's playing and most consistent FWD (yet to drop under 100)
Is there an injury? Bont is obvious VC choice. I hope it doesn't come about but heard there is plan to rest Grundy before finals.

Mat0369

Flanders is to get my C loop with Richards. Figured he was the best to put the emergency on playing early.

Mat0369

So if Grundy is out, I'm eating a donut unless I sit Jackson on my bench and field Dowling. Think I'm eating the donut

It was a pretty good week that was ruined by an injury to May at HT when he was tracking a monster and a really bad score from Jackson. The majority of my other players were 90+ which made for a nice score. Unfortunately in my cash league I had two scores top mine and I play one of them this week in a knockout final. Fingers crossed May was just precautionary with the bruised ribs and can play this week because I need all my options.

Mat0369

So I just read it is rib fractures for May, I think he only missed a week last time but that means he will likely miss this week and I wouldn't be surprised if the ice him for the season

Bully

We'll both have to rely on Humphries for the remainder of the season, not the worst case scenario, he's been adequate cover the past month so should be fine this week and beyond.

Salem was listed as 1-2 weeks last week, if he can come back this week that would be amazing and timely

arbel

Wouldn't be surprised if Melbourne start icing up a few players now.

This was a disaster week which saw me tumble 80k spots in the weekly rankings, knocked out of my finals and a bunch of injuries to deal with resulting in donuts.

I was waiting for the teams before I post to see how many donuts I would be dealing with this week. Looks like just the one with Richards dropped, Dowling not back and English out. May still isn't back so he will sit on the bench this week.

The majority of my players were bad to awful, a lot of mid sub 90 scores and down weeks for guys that had been performing really well. I'll see what I can salvage in the last two weeks because I was rocketing up the ranks since the bye and that seems to have hit the skids. Onto next season

arbel

Yeah I said to Ringo this has been a frustrating season. Even with the 40 trades it seems to be carnage non stop. Dowling not being back and Richards hopefully get a late call up for you to avoid a donut

Score: 2,366

Good: Yeo, Daicos, Salem, Bont, Butters, Green, Humphries, Flanders, Zorko, Heeney, Moore, Caldwell
Pass: Whitfield, Stewart
Bad: Dale, LDU, Gulden, Rozee, Walsh, Laird, Jackson
Ugly: Grundy, Ruck Donut

It was an okay week all things considered. Having a donut in the ruck/forward line was a bit of a disaster with none of my coverage guys getting a game. I couldn't really loop Humphries score on either so I lumped it. English back this week will be helpful and I'll see if I can have an okay finish to the year.
