The rules:
- We have a best of 2 games series, where in the event of a tie, the highest combined score wins. If that is also the same, the highest individual team score wins.
- Game 1 MUST use entirely different players to Game 2, and vice versa. There can be no crossover whatsoever. Coaches must co-ordinate with each other WHO will be using WHICH players.
- The highest ranking coach of AAP will go against the highest ranking coach of EurAsia in Game 1. The second highest ranking coaches of each team will clash in Game 2.
- A rolling lockout, traditional team format, 4 emergencies no restings.
- You are able to tag, but you can only nominate a tagger and taggee with non-locked players.
- Loopholing in all forms is permitted.

AAP go in as the favourites. Fortunately, EurAsia have proven experience on its side with 2021 and 2022 winning coaches at the helm.

Last year as a clash for the ages. Can AAP capitalise on its 'premiership window'?

After AFL Round 13

Plenty happening in WXVs most illustrative game of the year!

It's a common story isn't? EurAsia, blessed with the best rucks in the game, once again taken down by the AAP talls with a point to prove. Masterstroke selections of Nankervis and the exploding TDK have clearly out-performed Max and English, although Max has performed well as Captain for EurAsia.

The forward lines will be tough to get right this year, so I'm inclined to think EurAsia have done OKish with 80s from Curnow and Sexton, and a ton to Waterman, especially considering McKay failed to fire for AAP.

There is zero tolerance though for the midfield, which is often where this clash is won and lost, and to this end... both teams are yet to register a ton, with all of Walsh, Laird and Rowell failing to fire.

EurAsia's trump card appears to be the defence, with a mammoth performance to Jack Sinclair backed up with servicable tons in Yeo/Ridley seemingly destined to outshine the Alliance defence.

EurAsia has the points on the board, but would feel it has slightly underperformed. AAP meanwhile, despite Nank/TDKs starring games, have little else to ride home about. A captains knock from Serong though will bridge the gap, and AAP may also be tempted to bank Sicily's and Baker's score.

Overall... I worry that EurAsia needed a stronger start, and that the B-team might be lacking.

Salty seconds* (the semi-realistic ones)
AAP may have missed a serious trick here in omitting Sam Flanders (152), who would have made a big difference in Clash 1. Brayden Maynard (115) may also constitute as a miss.

Meanwhile, EurAsia's biggest miss so far is Will Day (137), whom had a series of tons prior, as did Zach Merrett (125).

*may be selected in Clash 2
