Good: Daicos, Dale, Brown, Salem, Bont, Walsh, English, Flanders, Moore, Macrae
Pass: May, Miller, Freijah
Bad: Stewart, Butters, Laird, Sullivan, Boak
Ugly: Clohesy, Oliver (CD)

So I scored almost as much this week off 18 players than I did last week with 22, that sums up how bad last week was. It was a nice bounce back for the first bye week, it looks like I can field 18 and have cash in the bank.

The trades were okay, Freijah was pretty solid, Salem was great in the first half and slowed down but 90 is a good score at his price. Clark would have been the right option there. Boak was a bit underwhelming but he looked good, passed the eye test and he is there to make up points at the back end of the bye weeks.

Clohesy, Brown and Adams will be the three I trade out this week, the plan is to bring in Fisher, Dawson and a mid. I would have loved to bring in Neale but I'm going to be short on cash. I think the two best options looking at the bye weeks are Gulden and LDU. Gulden has been solid without being spectacular, he has averaged 106 over his last 7. He does have a huge ceiling and had a huge back end to last year where he averaged 122 over his last 12 including the elimination final, there was a 60 odd score in there which shows how ridiculous his ceiling is. Meanwhile LDU has dropped under the ton once in his last 6 games and that score was a 90. He is averaging about 113.5 in that stretch and plays the Eagles this week. Gulden leaves me 46k where as LDU leaves me 5.1k for my correction trades.

In same boat as you wanting Neale but 20k short as well.  Also tossing up between LDU and Gulden who have had byes and only doing 2 trades. Do not want to bring in a mid yet to have bye.

Dunkley looks like good value too, I think I even prefer him over Neale.

Salem was a good get :)

Gulden is great value but not a great deal of confidence in recent scoring as opposed to LDU.

I have the luxury of deciding next week so another nice ton from Gulden will help. Tricky decision this week.

If you think LDU stays fit and keeps on as he has been maybe him? last 3 120 odd avg.

arbel

LDU seems better pick over Gulden but there is always that risk factor with him

Mat0369

Strachan may be a gift as a rookie if he plays well tomorrow. ROB out was a bit of a shock but we could end up with a nice R3 if they look to move away from him

Good: Fisher, Salem, Grundy, Flanders, Heeney
Pass: Dale, May, Clark, Zorko
Bad: Stewart, Bont, Walsh, Laird, Oliver, English, Moore
Ugly: Daicos (C), Miller, Green, Sullivan, Freijah, Macrae

A pretty average week thanks to my captain choice in Daicos. My midfield was underwhelming and I seem to be saying that just about every week. My trades were okay, Dawson was a flop but he felt like the right pick, Fisher went backwards in the last quarter after an unknown injury and I picked the wrong one out of LDU and Gulden, although LDU was close to BOG for North. It sucks I had to trade Brown out who started his cash gen again with back to back 70 odd scores, but to afford Fish and a mid it had to be done.

Looking ahead to this week, I'm culling Macrae, he had the ton last week and then turned back into a potato this week. I can swing Fish back, and hopefully grab Whitfield or Clark if I do something like Sullivan down to Dowling. I'm also really tempted to dump Stewart, he is on bye this week, unfortunately it will come down to funds depending what I do. 2 of Clark, Houston and Whitfield are probably ideal. Yeo is the other one that stands out but they have the bye this week

arbel

It really comes down to trades remaining at this stage. With how the crows are going and how he played surely Dowling gets a run now with finals seemingly out of reach so getting him early is no worries and then it's just who to upgrade. Could do Stewart now to a Clark, assuming you couldn't get Ryan.

Colliwobblers

You're in a pretty darn good situation with your team.

I'd be looking at along the lines Stewart (Ryan) / Green (Neale-Gulden) / English (Gawn)/ Macrae (Jackson).

Leaving Fisher back you'd be complete all lines and looking to upgrade those above 4 or add the bench cover.

Jackson would be good as a fwd and ruck cover. When Freej cooked bring dawson fwd for the switcharoo with fisher.

Jackson dropping but do you just go now?

You want rooks to fatten so you get maximum upgrade for the trade so maybe leave sullivan and do:

Garcia - adelaide rook
Macrae - Jackson

Otherwise same but swing fisher fwd and whitfield into def.

Mat0369

I currently have 10 trades, so I feel like these sideways moves can be done without killing me.

I think this week I have 17 as it stands with no trades and 16 if Clark plays next week.

Macrae and Sullivan both have the bye next week, unfortunately Dowling does as well and he seems like the best player to go early on. Stewart looks like the one to dump this week with his form and the fact it will give me 18 this week. I'd want to be able to bring in Rozee next week ideally when he has bottomed out. I'd also want the cash to make that move and I don't know how I get it with a lot of my rookies tapped out.

Colliwobblers

I'd just do Garcia to Dowling then that's this week sorted for 18 and hopefuly gain a bit more from Sullivan and Freej and get Rozee next week and maybe the saits defender rookie.

Simpkin wouldn't have been my pick for my fwd bench player but he's there now.

Wanted Rozee for the bench mid and someone around the $400k for defense bench, but just can't see me getting to Rozee or the defender with all the dead rooks I have.

One way to get to rozee is if tom green scores less than 80 again. But the idea was to gain a backup player so that's not ideal.

Mat0369

So I ended pulling the trigger for now on Sullivan to Dowling, Macrae to Whitfield and Stewart to Lizard. I want Crisp but I'll potentially be screwed for byes next week

Mat0369

I'm getting a little bit of cold feet

I think I need to get rid of Macrae, he has basically been a disaster outside of 1 or 2 weeks and I can see him continue to bleed cash and points. Fish forward makes that an easy move to a premium defender. So it would be Macrae to Whitfield

Of the other defenders, I really like Crisp, but the bye next week kills me if I pick him. Yeo is on bye this week and he is one that stands out at his price point as well. I prefer Clark/Sheez/Houston of the guys that have had a bye week already over Lizard, but then I can't afford Whitfield with my other trade and he is the cheapest option I'd look at.

I am also wondering if I'll regret trading out Stewart who will probably go on a monster run as soon as I piss him off, but then I won't have 18 if I don't trade out someone on bye. So I either cop the hit this week or burn the trade and hope it's worth the points. I could maybe do something like Miller for Gulden and hold Stewart as another option.

I went Bont as my VC this week and I'm going into Daicos. Zorko going massive hurts, Bont has a nuts record vs the Dockers so that's why I was leaning that way. Let's see how much I regret it.

Colliwobblers

141 won't be much if anything above the others if you get it right and with two cracks at it you should :)

I'd take a donut. One zero is insignificant with the number of rounds left, better to get the team right for all the remaining rounds. One wrong captain choice is usually worse than a donut result anyway.

Macrae to Whitfield and fish fwd is the go.

Might be worth burning a trade in a couple of weeks on Schoenmaker for defense bench player I'm surprised it took him this long to get a run. But even tho that means trading a rookie with no profit (Reid) it's the cheapest option we'll get for putting a warm body on the defense bench.

I assume you still have the plan/means for Rozee next week. Probably be the week after for me depending how he scores this week.
