Kick = 3

Contested effective kick as clearance = 3+2+4+2
Contested effective kick as clearance and goal = 3+2+4+2+6

False.
Yep what he said

Can i put another thing up to voted?

Can we vote on not ever voting on the scoring system each year, changing scoring each year is annoying and changes value of players

Ah was just looking at disposals being worth zero, missed the values for kicks/handballs haha. Dont mind me.

I'm happy to not change the scoring system once fwds are made at least somewhat viable.

Ringo

This one does not relate to scoring but an amendment to a rule we have.

This year we have used the priority lists lodged a few times more than previous year.

Currently we have to lodge lists in priority order prior to start of season and that is in force for full year.  Just wondering whether we should have an option to update at say Rd 8 or 9.

Ringo

With the mooted reduction of list sizes by the AFL how do we treat the drafts.

Do we do 3 rounds each or do we still have 4 rounds of National Draft and 2 Rookie Rounds.  Open to suggestions as I am hearing list sizes down to 40.

I believe we are already cutting our lists back to 46 (obviously this was voted on prior to the year turning out the way it has), if the afl lists are cut by 7 each, will we do the same and cut to 40? 42 maybe?

Ringo

My take on this as we have reduced lists to 46 from 48 and AFL lists are currently 47 I think I believe our lists then shoulkd be one less than the afl suggested list to keep consistency.

Open to other suggestions though

SilverLion

I'd be happy to keep it simple at a nice even 40.

Ringo

Any more discussion on rule changes prior to sending at votes:

Unless i Have missed anything these are the rule changes I have gleaned so far:

1) Do we need to review/change scoring system every year?
If no the
1b) How often do we review scoring every 2 years, every 3 years,
If yes
then what rule needs changing. Goal Values.

2) Additional review of Team  Priority Lodgement lists in Rd 8 yes or no.

Do we reduce list sizes to 40 or wait till AFL discloses their list size and review then.

Will send out votes on Monday so feel free to discuss further

SilverLion

#42
Is 1b) the vote for the potential change to goal values?

Also I dont think voting on whether we should be voting on whether or not scores are changed (if that makes sense) is necessary, if people feel the scoring needs an amendment it should be able to be put to a vote. If no one feels that way, then it won't go to a vote anyway.

Ringo

Only 9 coaches have voted so far so am extending the voting deadline till tomorrow night so get your votes in whether you want rule changes for next year or not.

Ringo

So we have had 12 coaches vote on this rule regarding rule changes for 2021.

Yes 5 votes
No 7 votes

So no rule changes for 2021.

We will however have discussions and vote on list sizes when we know the AFL ruling on list sizes for 2021.
