Post by: Football Factory on December 07, 2014, 02:14:53 PM
MID-SEASON DRAFT

The Mid-Season Draft will be conducted during the byes rounds 11,12 and 13. All teams can nominate for the draft and delist up to two players and select another two from the Remaining Player Pool. All mid-season delistings will be entered back into the Remaining Player Pool before the Mid-Season Draft commences.

Coaches have 24 hours in which to make their selections, after the previous selection is made. This will be enforced by the league administrator and discretion can be used where appropriate.

After making a selection coaches must private message (pm) the next coach on FanFooty to make them aware it is their pick.

Wasn't going to participate in the draft but may as well now
Bradley Hartman can go for us,may or may not add another player.
With delisting Hartman does that mean Wood has to go back onto our rookie list?
Or can Hartmans replacement go there instead if not does Wood stay elevated until the draft.

Mid Season Draft Pick #1:

Bolivia Condors Select
Josh BRUUUUUUUUUUUCE

(http://cache1.asset-cache.net/gc/468642844-rd-1-st-kilda-v-gws-giants-gettyimages.jpg?v=1&c=IWSAsset&k=2&d=GkZZ8bf5zL1ZiijUmxa7QRX5uo4G%2fSZ3XrOxV6em1dYIjjGlIbnnHWvd2JjLWckwJVuTz3px1cVZVqBy72ZC7A%3d%3d)

Bolivia needs a bit more firepower in the defense for this year, and Bruce will help that for us. And the move into a pure forward next year will also benefit us when players like Merrett and Billings turn into pure midfielders in time.

No-brainer selection for me here. Really rate this kid and pretty stoked to be able to slot him onto the list. As a 16 year old he was widely considered on par with Jack Martin and Jesse Hogan until a string of injuries cut him down. Shown he can play a variety of roles too and find the footy in the process!

I'll scoop up Nick Robertson - Brisbane Lions

No-brainer selection for me here. Really rate this kid and pretty stoked to be able to slot him onto the list. As a 16 year old he was widely considered on par with Jack Martin and Jesse Hogan until a string of injuries cut him down. Shown he can play a variety of roles too and find the footy in the process!

I'll scoop up Nick Robertson - Brisbane Lions
Good selection, he has strong stats. Just needs to change the haircut  :P

Horrific haircut hey haha. Change that, and as he gets more confidence at AFL level and in his body then he should be quality. Pretty stoked tbh but I wouldn't mind another pick! Hope the guy I want goes before what could have been my second selection!

Seems to be in good company, so I'll take an LTI in Jaden McGrath. (Moore, Petracca and Paddy Mac in case you couldn't tell already) Hoping he gets dpp mid/fwd at some stage.

Was considering strongly considering this kid if he fell through to my next pick. I think he will be a quality player one day

I was going to pick him until I looked at his heat maps from this year so far.I don't need another defender at this point.

All those gun forwards at Brissy keeping him out ??? Hopefully he moves into the mid/fwd at some stage, a little Brent Harvey type, except he's taller...isn't everyone? :o

Some people think he's a hack

I'm willing to take a punt on him & see if it pays off - is only a 2nd round pick anyway :P

I can see this selection being either disappointing or, maybe, one day being descent (& I've seen a lot of similarities to Westhoff in this kid so far under Beveridge).

Jarrad Grant

Will message the next coach

Delighted to perform my first official duty as the Dallas assistant coach.

We will take a guy who was dropped by another team in Toby Nankervis.

Only 20 and on the cusp of the Swans team. Looks the most likely to take over from Mike Pyke as Sydney's #1 ruck when he's finished and could even get a game this year.

Also our ruck stocks are a bit weak so he can sit behind Lobbe for now.

Will PM R.Griffen now.

This is true.

Also, Naismith is actually probably a bit further along his development than Nankervis but, Nank the tank will be better long term we think.

Big men take plenty of time. This was a long term pick really. He's not likely to play for our team until he has a few AFL seasons under his belt.

Lol of all the weeks, Naismith probably got blisters on his bum.

Yeah none of em can play well and hold down a spot til they're about 24, they both have a few years to go yet.
