Hey guys please tell me what you think of my dt
DEF: Enright, carazzo, Hodge, Shaw, Kennelly, Ladson, Hunt (Maguire, Silvagni)
MID: Ablett, Swan, Dalsanto, Cooney, Mcveigh, Barlow (Jetta, Bestinac)
RUCK: Hille, Natanui (Warnock, Skipper)
FORW:Riewoldt, Johnson, Pavlich, Gian, Franklin, Dangerfield, Rockliffe (Dennis-lane, Gumbleton)
To be honest, this is a very poor team structure. lets begin with the areas of most concern:
RUCKS: Hille as your 1st big man is a terrible idea; he will take weeks (likely the first half of the season) to get back anywhere near his best form. Natanui: yes he has been excitable and lively during the pre season but mainly without the presence of Cox and when he was jousting with poor opposition ruck stocks (essendon match etc). Honestly, he will not score consistently this year, the kid is an absolute massive talent but it will take a while for him to develop. Not yet but watch this space for sure.
-Ablett and Swan: choose one but not both, your better off having bartel/gibbs etc and spending the cash elsewhere which you need to do!
-Mcveigh, IMO should be hastily swapped to Dustin Martin. This money from your various mid downsizing should allow you to upgrade Nic Nat to a Sandilands/Tippet/Macintosh and boost your ruck department
-I personally prefer Ryan O'Keefe over Stevie J know that he's back in the midfield (better value) and would strongly consider Robbie Gray from port or Barry Hall instead of buddy (far more upside in those two than erratic lance).
-Rockcliff is good for your bench but should NOT be starting. He only dominated the pre season games since many of the lions mids weren't playing (black, power, rich etc). Last week when they returned he only managed 40 odd. Better off having Ballantine or even Mayne from freo as your 7th.
-Lastly, I wouldn't recommend carrazzo seeing as his role for the blues tends to be that of a forward shutdown player which isn't great for DT output but its up to you.
A fair bit to think about or you could just ignore my thoughts completely- either way, Good luck!
BAKCS: Enright, Goodwin, Carazzo, Hodge, Kennelly, Hunter, Waters (Maguire, Silvagni)
MID: Swan, Montagna, Bartel, Watson, Martin, Barlow (Bestinac, Jetta)
RUCK: Hille, Nic nat (Warnock, Skipper)
FORW: Riewoldt, Stevi J, Goodes, Gian, Morton, Dangerfield, Rokliffe (Gunbleton, Dennis-lane)
morton injured hunter who, skipper ionjured
didnt realise morton was injured, was supposed to be hunter :p
BACKS: Enright, Goodwin, Carazzo, Hodge, Kennelly/Malceski, Hunt, Waters
(Silvagni, Maguire)
MID: Swan, Ablett, Bartel, Watson, Martin, Barlow (Jetta, Bestinac)
RUCK: Hille, Seaby/Tipett (Warnock, Roughead)
FORW: Riewoldt, Steve Johnson, Goodes, Okeefe, Gian, Dangerfield, Rockliff (Gumbleton, Podsiadly)
Guys admit it, its a winnar lol, all seriousness please be harsh and tell me where i can improve, where there is / it means im unsure between those two :)
downgrade swan and/or ablett to get a premium ruck like sandi instead of two midpricers who may not even score highly
thanks for the advice
SO
Ablett and seaby or
Macintosh and <420k midfielder
ok this is what i have done
instead of ablett + Okeefe + seaby
Gone for Vince/Mitchell/Stanton/Dalsanto/Boyd (LOL) + Brennan (bit unique) + Hmac
Btw i could always lower one of those midfielders and get sandilands or mitch clarke, but everyone has them so wanted to go hmac, specially since petrie is injured now
Nah dw its looking good.
not perfect but nothing is. I say go Boyd, i like him this year, hopefully steps up a bit and i would also go kennelly over malceski. Malceski is too risky to me.
You asked, so here is the help.
Good luck.
BACKS: Enright, Goodwin, Carazzo, Kelly, Hodge, Waters, Hunt (Maguire, Nason)
MID: Swan, Bartel, Gibbs, Wells, Martin, Barlow (Jetta, Bestinac)
RUCK: Hille, Seaby (taking a punt)
FORW: Riewoldt, Steve Johnson, Goodes, Pavlich, Gian, Staker (punt), Hitchcock (Gumbleton, Rockliffe)
I know im starting an unproven rookie up forward, however my motive is simple.....at least one of those three should play each week, if gumbleton stays uninjured hell play 22, rockliffe will get a chance and possibly cement a spot, while hitchcock is backed in by his fellow team mates to be given every chance
Comments welcome
Hey guys, currently in a dilemma as to where in my team i should upgrade next..Here it is
BACKS: HODGE, GILBERT, CARAZZO, KELLY, ENRIGHT, WATERS, KENNELY (MAGUIRE, NASON)
MID: BARTEL, SWAN, GIBBS, HAYES, BARLOW, JETTS (MARTIN, SHUEY)
RUCKS: HILLE, OTTENS (WARNOCK, TRENGROVE)
FORWARD: CHAPMAN, HARVEY, PAVLICH, GOODES, GIAN, STEVE JOHNSON, ROCKLIFFE (GUMBLETON, PODISADLY)
Any help would be appreciated
i have 16 trades and 50,000
Hmmm, id look at outing Stevie J $366,700 and a breakeven of 132.
So, 366,700 + the 50,000 in the bank = $ 416,700.
To spend on someone maybe mid priced or cheap.... Davis? then put gumbi or pods on the field. And with the left over cash buy the big cox for hille or ottens.
Just a suggestion.
Forwards look set with only 1 more upgrade needed rest of the year hopefully. Those first 6 should be in as keepers and not for cash cow purposes.
Rucks could be upgraded in the near future with a few premiums on the fall. 3 trades could get you 2 fallen premiums (2 upgrades on these guys and 1 downgrade on a cash cow).
Hmmm i have thought about your opinion on outing johnson, however i have lost 70k on him or so, so i cant really justify it to myself atm especially when he has the potential to rack up some nice scores....I wanna leave my bacline the way it is, and if Hargraves finds some form again, ill be able to do a straight swap for kenelly or waters or even nason maybe well see how it goes.
I think my biggest downfall is ottens, I was really encouraged by his start to the year averaging 80 or so but after his week off hes struggling to find some form again, i do believe that if I give another 2 to 3 weeks he will find form and i predict he will be very good
Next trade i was thinking about, and perhaps you could point me in the right direction was outing a mid rookie for a premium
Barlow stays, but possible martin for someonel ike montagna or ablett 3 or so weeks away....There a couple of potential caschcows i believe will start to play soon and cement a spot so im excited :)
Keep Stevie J
I think my team is almost finished, but comments are welcome :)
BACKS: Hodge Gilbert Carazzo
Kelly Enright Kennely Waters
(Nason, Hams)
MID: Swan Bartel Barlow
Hayes Gibbs Jetta
(Martin, Shuey)
RUCK: Hille Mcintosh
(Warncok, Trengove)
FORW: Chapman Pavlich Gian
Goodes Harvey Steve Johnson Podsiadly
(Gumbleton, Rockliff)
My next plan of attack is to upgrade Jetta or Martin, have 100K in the bank 14 trades
Hey guys...at the moment i have 8 trades left and look to be set...bahhh 1
Hodge...carazzo...enright....kelly.....gilbert.....duffield....waters (Hams, Webberley)
Swan....Bartel....Hayes.....Gibbs....Barlow....Howlett (shuey, Stevenson)
Sandilands....Cox (Warnock, Trengove)
Pavlich...Gia....Goodes....Chapman....Stevie J.....Harvey....Pods (Gumbleton, Rockliff)
I have 8 trades, and160K in the bank, im going o wait 2 weeks then trade out HOwlett, or until he reaches maximum price, to who, im not sure. What else should I do with my team thanks
Currently coming 247th :)
Would probably do what you said and wait for Howlett.
Another idea is to upgrade waters or Pods if you want to get a full premium forward or backline. Just an idea for later in the year if you get bored with the current structure.

in hindsight this is almost entirely wrong...
Marvellous thing, hindsight!
