Title: What should the next move be?
Post by: diamw90 on June 24, 2014, 03:50:16 PM
Sitting 3rd on my ladder with a 2 game losing streak against opponents with players who proper pulled up... Wondering if anyone here can give me a hand with my next moves...

Defense: mcveigh, swallow, walker, Murphy, suckling, Enright (Langdon, clurey)

Mids: ablett, pendlebury, beams, bartel, selwood, fyfe, Sloane, miles (shenton, wanganeen)

Rucks: sandilands, goldstein (currie, king)

Forward: dangerfield, martin, Parker, gunston, zorko, Taylor (Cameron McCarthy)

11 trades left $27,200

What u think?

Not a bad looking team.
Think Langdon has to go this week with a big BE and looks as though he could lose more coin.
How about Langdon to Zac O'Brien then Taylor to Robbie Gray or Buddy.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing... Would you keep shenton or Taylor?

Tough one, pretty close between Taylor and Shenton.
Think I would keep Shenton, he has secured his place in the team and will always give you 65 - 75 a game.
Handy cover when required.

Yeah you probably want consistency in that situation... I'm leaning towards franklin @ 506 rather than gray @ 567 which is overpriced IMO

How about  langdon--> S.Martin(by moving Bartel into defence and Taylor into Mids)  and Currie-->Thurlow(any cheap  ruck/fwd)  ..you should make a little cash from those.

Then next week you look at a downgrade somewhere, and upgrade Taylor to best prem mid you can afford.  Which will leave you with 7 trades and cover on most lines (Cameron should be back soon) and dpp link in Ruck/fwd with Thurlow/Martin.

The problem you have is that Clurey, wanganeen and McCarthy are dead spots. You should have got rid of long ago for cash cows.  Now they sit there not giving you any cover AND not making you any money.
