Round 10 AFL Round 12
Mexico City Suns v Pacific Islanders Fireball Stadium AAP Alliance Premiership Match
Cape Town Cobras v Wellington Warriors Newlands Cricket Ground Africonia Premiership Match
London Royals v Seoul Magpies London Olympic Stadium EurAsian Premiership Match
Toronto Wolves v Cairo Sands Rogers Centre AAP Alliance Premiership Match
Sao Paulo Pumas v Tokyo Samurai Estadio do Pumas

Berlin Brewers v Dublin Destroyers Berlin Olympic Stadium European Premiership Match
Buenos Aires Armadillos v PNL Reindeers Estadio de River
New York Revolution v Beijing Thunder MetLife Stadium, New Jersey
Mexico City host Pacific, with the Islanders looking to take in the sights before they are annihilated.
Cape Town and Wellington, amazingly, look to be fighting for the Africonia Premiership! Pacific and Cape Town play in Round 12, but this is likely the deciding match!
London stuttered last week, and need to recover quickly against a Seoul team fast coming into serious finals calculations.
I think close to the match of the round (not quite) with Toronto and Cairo facing off in a clear 8 point match. Cairo are back in form, while Toronto are on a hot streak. Big finals ramifications for the result of this match.
Sao Paulo host Tokyo, and I think this could be a danger match for the reigning premiers. Tokyo have that habit of going bang , and they haven't for a while! Pumas still favourites.
Moscow were gallant in defeat last week, and simply can't afford to drop a match against New Delhi. The Tigers are putting the pieces together, but are still missing some.
In order to be taken seriously as a finals threat, Berlin need a big scalp. And they don't get that much bigger than the in-form Destroyers, who have probably taken over Buenos Aires as flag favourites.
My match of the round! I have a soft spot for PNL, and I think they can take it up to Buenos Aires. Both teams were down last week, with PNL finally getting some luck! Can they take down the undefeated?
A winnable match for both New York and Beijing. Both ravaged by injury, this game could be a highlight in a season of disappointment. With Wellington breathing down Beijing's neck, the spoon could be in play.
Robbed of the match of the round. :P

I'm happy if our Reindeers can hand the Dillos a defeat. Will need everything to go right though for that to happen and likely a season high score. Possibly if our big names fire + we make the right selections at the lower end of our XV!

I'd lean towards that one if going for a close match. Dillos/PNL has the potential if we can keep up with the guns of Dillos.

Some huge ins this week in Rioli and Enright! Youngsters have been sent to Marseilles for the week while Shenton earns his first call up for PNL (after finding his 3rd home so far in World's history)!
Might also mention it is a near full strength side. If Rich wasn't injured and Grant had played a few games first, then maybe could be the only changes. So we have decided to have a good team come to field against the Dillos ;).
Also will mention we have like 15 players in the reserves this week :P. We can basically name a full XV reserves side if we play an OOP ruck (As Griffin/Graham are not playing).

Big names Chris Masten and Jared Polec have been dropped from the Pumas midfield after a string of poor games. Replacing them are Hamish Hartlett who is back from suspension and Andrew Walker who returns after injury and moves back in to defense, allowing Zaharakis to move to the interchange. The last change sees the rested Devon Smith reclaim his spot in the side, pushing out Majak Daw. Marco Paparone has maintained his spot in the side after a great game last week, forcing Matty Wright to remain on the emergency list.

Bad luck MC :( The good news you lose 2 points but it is unlikely to matter unless we have a draw (haven't had one in Worlds yet). Also playing the bottom team. Will announce the team tomorrow.
Bad news is that if you forget again, the coaching job will be terminated :(
Toronto missed also, first strike for them. Will name team tomorrow also.
New York have missed again also - 2nd time in a row. New York lose a point, and unfortunately I'll be opening up applications to take over New York. Pyronerd free to apply again if he likes, but it goes to vote.
Bad luck is right Oss, Hawkins on 101 SC at half time. :o

Sorry about missing lockout Oz! Had a feeling that I wouldn't be able to get to it, should have just named a pre-teams side on Wednesday. Oh well, preferences team isn't too bad, only real changes would have been R.Shaw and Hendo instead of Morris and M.Shaw in defence and White slotting up forward.

Well everything appears to be going right for the Pumas this week. Zaha another massive scorer, whilst Smith contributes an impressive 119 with his resting bonus. Harwood was solid in defense for 85, but Paparone was a little disappointing after his rising star nom last week. Currently sitting on 1,057/10 with Ablett (C), Sloane, Jacobs, Houli and Hill left to play :)
Tokyo struggling at 453/6.
Watson goes down the week before dillos. Why couldn't I have played them this week.
Seriously need Boak back or I could go down.

Gonna be a very poor week with only Neale, Betts and two out of position players (Jones and Stanley) to come.
Grundy didn't play vfl, he could still play
in any case, Lobb goes into the ruck
Oh didn't he, cheers Oz hopefully that means good news for us then. And good point, I always get mixed up with that haha, I'll change it back now pending tomorrow's teams.

Same (I think) with wellingham for NDT :3 tbh I reckon the sub rule should be assumed unless they say not to for whatever reason.
Fletch no good being subbed in the third :/, co-captains averaged out to 113 so very happy with that :D
Wardy is on FIYAH: tonned up 9 times out of 11 and has 145, 123, 100, 142 and 135 last five weeks. Bona-fide superstar.
Got Ward when he was less than 500k. Best decision ever
I think I'm in love with Zac Smith! Realising the potential that we all saw in him from his first spectacular season.
As Bruce has said half a bazillion times, he's looking very 'impressive'.

Depends on what happens in the Roos game considering that's your half your team. :P
Wow, Charlie Cameron's doing well atm also.
That means Impey, Rowe, MvGovern and Cameron all outdoing our three usual forward starters this week. :o
Sam Reid stepping up for the reserves!
Michael Johnson just got subbed at half time for Freo.
;D
Charlie Cameron would have been good to play this week instead of Cripps. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

All your Roos seem to be doing fairly well and North winning in certainly helping.
Plus Pedo has been in great form and well... Pendles is easily good for
at least 100 every week.
You're still a good chance to get up imo.
We do know Pendles likes a big occasion.
Hopefully he likes it to the tune of 40 touches and 5 goals (including the winner) tomorrow! :P

Since I'm gonna lose in AXVs where I have Pedersen, I'll happily boo him and hope he has a shower one. Don't think Pendles is captain in any of my fantasy teams and they're all doing shower, so I can hope he does bad too. ;D

Morris, Adams and Riewoldt struggling in the 40's at 3 qtr time outweighs the good work from Ziebell, Cunnington and Swallow.

Pendles? Bah. Pederson will put any opponent to shame. You can count on at least 150 from pedo. I even think Nigey knows Cairo are no chance with Pedo's influence on your side. A Toronto victory is the only outcome here.

What is the highest score? I checked the records thread, but that says scores before round 1 2013, so doesn't have last years scores added to it. The highest from the first season was 182, but I think nails beat it last year didn't he? Probably why he was checking my addition skills so thoroughly :P
Edit: Just found that the 'Dillos scored 187 last year, so no not getting the highest score :( The only thing nails can hold over me at the moment ;)

Bugger!!!! Possible, but the chances of all 4 of my demons playing well is low :-\
If only I was playing my seniors Holz :P but I guess you'd be playing Jelwood in that case
1162 with Dunn, Seedsy and JT to come.
Fletch, Jenkins very poor + a player OOP not happy with.
Surely can't lose though...
Well done HB, just short of the record (Buenos Aires 187 v Toronto 136, Round 4 2013)
Update with only the 1 match to go...
Mexico City (14/1374) v Pacific (11/1063). All captains played, Islanders are in with a chance if absolutely everything goes right, but the smart money is still on the Suns.
Cape Town (13/1241) v Wellington (14/1226). Loving the improvements from Wellington, and they are still a chance, but Cape Town with the clear edge.
London (14/1271) v Seoul (13/1029). Upset a coming, with a very disappointing Seoul....
Toronto (13/967, Captain to play) v Cairo (14/1209, Captain to play). Cairo coast home, but where did that come from Toronto?
Sao Paulo (15/1853) v Tokyo (14/1220), the Pumas have reminded us all they are still premiership contenders.
Moscow (12/1141) v New Delhi (15/881). Wow, New Delhi simply just had a shocker.
Berlin (11/1058) v Dublin (13/1343). Dublin have the advantage, but you have to admire the pluck of Berlin who still have a chance.
Buenos Aires (14/1191) v PNL (12/1047). If PNL are good enough, they'll win. This came is close. PNL will likely need 300+ points from Jones, Ball and Williams... depending on how Swan goes.
New York (14/1097) v Beijing (13/996). Low scoring scrap, the Thunder are still a chance... but not much of one.

Cheers ossie. And to think I was playing Polec OOP and both Polec and Paparone got subbed out. Probably could have beaten it if they stayed on the field :-\
Hopefully my interchange stuff up does not cost me supposed to have named Brown over Menzell but my bad.

Not as high scoring as anticipated but going to be a close one!
If Super Jones can account for Swan and outdo him (GO FOR THE 150) and Marley + Ball can combine for 150, then it'll be a good one! Ball needs to play his game of the year and NOT be the sub... and Marley just needs to do what he did last year!
Awesome, Grundy a late in for Collingwood means we don't have to cop Stanley's pathetic 21 (OOP). Increases our chances slightly!
Toumpas omitted so I think I'll get Lambs score making me 1293/14. Pretty average to be honest, but hopefully it's enough to get over the line.

I read that as crap :P Either way, fair enough ;D
btw is that the updated score with Grundy in?
edit: Don't think it is.
So it's Cloke + 80 v Hooker, Broomehead and Grundy
It'll be a close one, New York definitely favourites.
Haha not gonna lie I did too, Q - but it would be a fair summary of our round so far :-[
That's not including Grundy's replacement as far as I know, and Matt Jones replaces Timmy Broomhead at half points.
If only Sam Gray was listed as a forward like he should be, wouldn't have to field another OOP this week! >:(
Oh is Broomehead not playing? Thought he was named?
Think he was on the extended interchange before it was cut to four :'(

Cloke + 80 v Hooker, Jones OOP and Grundy
Think the calculations are correct, as we no longer need Stanley.
Hooker's already played though so I think it's just Cloke + 80 vs Grundy + Jones/2

I think you not using the sub rule here is going to bite you on the arse. Would have got the 80 odd that McPharlin scored rather than the score Ball will get as sub...
Pendles on 23 already...
Edit1: Now up to 43... Pedo doing nicely as well. Beams barely sighted.
QT update: Pendles 51, Pedersen 23 vs Beams 17. ::)

Beams scored 17 for the quarter, doubling his score to 34 at HT. Looks like we're certain to win now that Pendles slowed dramatically, but I'd still like Beams to ton up. ::)

I posted it well before lockout so shouldn't be a problem hopefully! And Dang Ball, why is he the sub this year? :'(
305 from our 3 players today :D
Not bad for two 22-year-olds and a backman.
<3 Dunny
Shoutout to Samboy Dwyer with an 87. Our forward reserves where amazing this week.
Changes will be made next week, and they'll all do shower.

Ah sorry. Only looked at your team post on the first page.
Fair enough, would be a bit confusing as posted it a few posts down as forgot about it when I posted team!
And if the SC scores are correct, think we just beat the Dillos :o :o :o. Swan had a bit of a downer and Marley covered him! If Jones got his 120+ and we get McPharlin's 80-odd score, think we won the match (not sure about HGA though for BAA).

To be honest I think it's the first time I've ever seen an armadillo on a tv show. Only time I can remember anyway.
That with it getting run over.
The first time seeing an armadillo on tv, with it getting run over on the exact same week I lose my first match for the season. Coincidence much?
Also I only saw this episode/happening like 20 minutes ago because I didn't realise the show debuted last week and only found out about it today :o
Something freaky is going on.
So glad we won. The score wasn't bad either despite a putrid performance by 3/4 of our forward line.
Not sure whether we can drop Impey after that performance either, but Cripps could make way.
Big game against the Pumas so the XV needs to be spot on.
Also, Mumbai lost and the seniors were terrible. There must be an uproar in India. :o
Did enough to hold off the surging BAAs (Gonna start calling them that :P ) and capitalize on a down week they had :D.
Marseilles continues to dominate in the reserves and have quite a few of them pushing for first team action. Shiel making us take notice for dropping him ::).
