rate, any advice welcome.
You've said it all buddy!
Team looks very strong!
Defence: Mitchell could be the best in defence by the end of the year! Hibberd is consistent but Hanley or Simpson could be better options. Hendo finished the year extremely strong but watch in NAB CUP too see if he keeps hes scoring up! I had Atley last year and he let me down (I was expecting a break out season) Suckling is a lock and same with McDonald! Like how you only have one rookie defender.
Midfield: At first I didn't want Ablett but if you look at his stats he is a must have in your team! in saying that your first 4 Mids are all solid picks I think Rocky will be one of the best in the game by seasons end! Grigg could destroy or get destroyed im sure not taking the risk all though he could pay off! Thomas absolute gun and should be 85+ Martin is said to be better than Omeara and if that's the case lock him in! Ellis good pick also and he has a good bye round!
Rucks: Reasonably standard like the pick of Lobbe and those stats are making me consider him! Sandi should be a gun!
Forwards: Danger will be one of the most picked players in super coach this season and rightfully so the kid is a gun! Tippet may be affected by Franklin so just watch him in the NAB CUP and I love the Gunsten pick! Pav has been in and out of my team on a regular basis and really I don't think he is worth his price especially saying this season could be his last. As you said Clark is risky but he could be gold this year as the forward cheapys are very few! I like the pick of Kersten should slot straight into the side!
Its a solid team just watch out for the byes!
Love the stats and research but, i only see 6 1000% safe picks... i think you have too many super points of difference! Proven premiums at the start of the year then when you upgrade get pods who are in form! I like your team but you need players youll 100% trust... great research though love it
Team Looks very strong with the 2 unique picks in defence and the risky pick in Grigg in the mids.
Backs: Henderson & Atley could average 90 this year.Maybe Hanley over Hibberd
Mids: Very strong with good depth should do well .
Rucks Good decision by picking Lobbe & sandi scored 100+ in his last 3 games last year.
Fwds: Strong here as well can't go wrong with any of those players.
You have a decent team as it has premiums and unique players. i give it an 8/10
Some massive POD - very interesting team.
Backs: I think Hibbert/Henderson/Atley are all nice POD individually but together is just to risky. I would run with one of these three only. Don't overdo the POD here with so many good back options
Mids: Like the Cotchin pick - seems good value. Not sold on Grigg but again a nice POD.
Rucks: Lobbe finished the year strongly but i just think there are better options for a cheaper price. Could come off big time if he continues 2014 the way he finished 2013.
Forwards: Tippett/Gunston/Pavlich - in a similar way to your backline these are nice individual POD - but collectively present to much risk. They are all KPP as well making it more risky again. I would go with one of these three, two max.
Overall i actually like this team but just needs a bit more balance in terms of to many POD. 7/10.
I love your team mate, though I do have some concerns about having Garlett as both a MID and FWD, unconventional!!!

Savage to Grigg maybe?? Take out his score of 29 his avg is actually 95.25. Bargain.
rate, any advice welcome.
Heres your problem.... You have 8 defined 'keepers'... out of 30 players... you really need 13-15 'keepers' if you want to do well... too much risks I think... tone it down just a bit... I like your first team better so ill comment on that...
Defence: one more premium(blue) either atley or suclinkg need to be upgraded(which means finding cash)
Mid:dont have a problem with. Everyone is saying pendels or ablett or both(as you did in your second)... maybe try planning instead... both have rd 8 bye... so only 7 games you potentially don't have them... save the cash now and do a double/triple downgrade in round 8 and then a double upgrade to both in round 9... risky theory im looking at now... gives so much more cash to play with now though...
Rucks: im not sold on lobbe... redden going down helps but once he is back what happens to lobbe? 80avg... a wasted trade...
Fwd: is good... F5 is a big rick in Clarke but im struggling with my F5 and Clarke is better than mine
Go back to your first team and rework it... I really don't like your second team... Good Luck!

I believe Savage actually averaged around 85 if you take out games where he was the sub/subbed. almost all of those under 70's your referring to are due to the red or green vest. He's not inconsistent like you suggest. He also will not be the sub/subbed much, if at all at St Kilda. Like many I believe he will average somewhere between 80-95, not enough for me to pick him though, Daisy is a must and I don't like the idea of two mid price midfielders, particularly with the value up forward.

Very nice write up. Are you selling this team to yourself or others?
My only suggestion (personal preference) would be Zorko and Caddy into Wingard and whoever you can afford.
Also KK is a likely sort from several reports, so maybe same logic you use for Martin could be applied here. Atley out?
Rucks are going to be popular if they seem fit.
Nice.
cheers for the help.
I seriously love this line up.
I think its seriously strong on all lines.
bit risky in some areas but I'd rather take a few risks than have a cookie cutter team.
got a few solid PODs who I think can avg very decent scores.
Overall nice team. Just a quick one on Zorko. There was an article in yesterdays Courier Mail on Zorko and in it it said that he would play in the forward line this year.
QuoteZorko finished last season with 26 goals, 21 scoring assists, 117 tackles and 15 possessions a game and will again spend this year in the forward line, with Brisbane placing a greater emphasis on creating suffocating forward pressure.

It could hurt his scoring potential, especially at that price.
cheers for that, i can easily go to parker.

Just keep an eye on Suckers and if he does not play NAB cup may mean he may not play early. Couple of sources coming out saying he will not play Round 1.
My only real concern with this team is the risk with 2 rucks returning from injury but if you feel comfottable by all means. Would try and fit Lobbe in as one as safety
(http://i58.tinypic.com/2qtwxgz.jpg)
Not a lot I can say about that Keeper
Lewie Taylor is still 3/5 weeks away so need to look for another rookie. Honeychurch looking doubtful as well so just need to watch.
Like your POD's as well
Well done
cheers Ringo. any advice is welcome.
hate the cookie cutter teams so I'm going a different approach.
I don't think I'll fall behind too much in points if at all.
how's Kersten looking? I can change LT for Kersten.
Kersten recovering from back injury so just watch as well but should be named if reports are correct.
A lot of cookie cutter getting around as you say and POD's may get you ahead of the pack.
fixed the rookie fwd situation.
LT/Honey to Rohan/Kersten.
Hurn to Malceski (90+), Mitchell to Caddy ($$$ 85+).
changing suckers into Everitt??
any news on Lachie?? Everitt has had a great NAB.

rate, any advice welcome.
ive been looking at jimmy webster for a couple of days but cant see any reason in having him in there for 240 whereas mcdonald will end up making more money for u before bye rounds and using him as a stepping stone freeing up cash.
with that cash id be upgrading jack darling... why have a 4th stepping stone fwd when now u can upgrade him to a prem who will be a keeper.
Round 3 team.
pretty happy with the setup.
may out, got cover for him.
rookies all playing except for Thurlow.
You have Georgiou or Langford to cover May.
Only trade I would make this week is JKH to either Ambrose or McArthy if named, if not Lewis Taylor. With JKH being vested for first 3 games he now has a high B/e which he probably will not achieve if vest again.
May back in. Yes.
Gonna hold for now. Got $273k in the kitty
Wow that is a good as team man, wish it was mine.
JKH > Taylor.
Upgrade Caddy in a few more weeks, give him time to prove himself.
Depending on how Darling/Breust go this week I'll see who I'll bring in for Caddy
(http://i57.tinypic.com/rsdis8.jpg)
1 trade so far this week. Caddy to Fasolo. $367K in the kitty.
Concerns:
Rohan starting to lose money.
Mumford out.
No Ruck Cover.
1 more trade, do i change mummy to Goldy/Jacobs or hold.

If not named Mumford to Cox, Jacobs or Minson.
next week you probably need to consider either Currie or Derrick as a ruck back up.
got a few moves planned in the next few weeks.
Rohan out next week for Lloyd
May/Merrett/Thomas out in a few weeks when they go $420K plus to proper premos.

Just remember that Cutler had a sub effected 19 in his first game so more than likely will still be in 150/160 price bracket next week so if needed can wait a week and see what happens
im waiting. no big rush, none of the DEF rookies have gained enough to interest me anyways.
Gonna start piling on the Premo's now.
Thomas/Merrett to Swanny/Nroo. that should add an extra 100+ points.
Currie is unlikely to play this weekend with Majak Daw very likely to play for North Melbourne so what do you do if Mumford doesn't play?
I think Cutler can wait a week. See if he has the JS needed to bring him in. The 3 rookies you have in defence still have cash to make.
Lock in Ellis to Robertson.
That looks good man.
Next week maybe get rid of Dunstan and May and week after MThomas and Langdon.
Hope for you Mummy plays otherwise you are in strife.
Good luck!
That bank balance is very impressive why not grab Swan this week for Ellis? With almost 800k to play with I don't think you need to be bringing in more cows. Definitely stick with Rohan to Lloyd trade but yeah I'd almost grab Swan if I were you instead of Robertson
Thanks for the rate.
I like your side and it is an interesting strategy you are taking. Grabbing lots of cash and getting the mid price/premos that are firing. My only worry is your lack of true premos. How many of your current side do you want to have at the end of the year?
I fear you might run out of trades trying to upgrade all your mid range players. Anyway its my 2 cents, but i like to see it as a new way of thinking, and will be interested to see how it works.
On to this week. I would Rohan>Lloyd (as the fwds are rare) and get swanny.

Fielding a donut. No Currie as cover for Mumford >:(
A thought to consider Keepz and up to you - Is it worth Rowan to Daw instead - Daw has Ruc/Fwd Dpp so you can use Thurlow to bring him in to cover Mummy. JKH will be OK for emergency cover. Will assist with bye structure as well for Rucks giving you one in each week so you should be able to field 2 rucks through the byes.
Then your choice of Ellis to Robbo or JKH to Lloyd.
Cheers I'll think about that
Nice team keeper. Not too many problems. I like your trades aswell. Where are you going to upgrade next week? Your fwds are a bit of a risk I reckon. Merrett, Higgins and Wright. But for your sake I hope they kill it. Good luck man
Wright & Merrett is doing ok.
They avg more than some more popular choices like Roughy, JJK, buddy and Tmitch.
Avg only 2 points less than Dusty.
Will be one of the last to go.

But Hibberd was in the same situation last year and now people want him.

Not much to say mate. Very strong team! Consider looking at Mcveigh this week with a low breakeven just to sure up the backline a bit?
I guess like me, you'll just be taking the ruck donut? I think thats the best thing to do in this situation.
McVeigh and hooker are on my radar.

I would look for an alternative to Hallahan Keeper - He has the Round 8 bye so am wary of him with having to get 18 players on the field. Just watch for players coming through Honeychurch for one must be getting close. Morobito was playing reserve grade but got reported so may be a bit longer out.
decided to do a double upgrade.
Thomas/Dunstan out.
Fyfe is one of the upgrades i want.
who to have as the other??
Montagna 119.2, Murphy 116, Jones 115.2
i want one of those guys as a POD
i'll end up with $350ish K so still got plenty of coin.
next week, gonna downgrade langdon and upgrade Langford/May to McViegh/Hibberd.

Kitty - around 150K
Merrett to Parker/Gray/Dahlhaus should have $30K spare.
Polec "should" be @ $425K, Crouch @ $310K
Crouch to Rookie + Polec + $200K + $30K = around $640K for a last Premo spot.
Jelwood looks the part should be @ $580K by Rnd 9, Swanny too.

A lot of money and a rough idea of who want in your side.
Doesn't always go your way.
Wanted Pendles, but I realised I couldn't get McVeigh/Hibberd next week if I did.
Wanted Fyfe, then I realised I wouldn't have enough money after the McVeigh/Hibberd to get Parker in for Merrett.
What are the plans after the byes? I really think Pendles is a no-compromise must have, your plan works to maximise points in the next few rounds but If I'm right then your mids set up at the end is:
GAJ, (Jelwood/Swan), Watson, Beams, Murphy, Rockliff, Macrae, Libba (Robertson, (Rookie))
Would you then be offloading Macrae or Libba later on or is that going to be your final mids? I guess it depends on how many trades you have but unless Libba really turns it around that's a touch weak for my likings. If I'm right you would still have your defense and forwards as pictured, so you would have D6, F5 and F6 to sort out, and probably ~2 DG trades to achieve that...

Fasolo/Higgins will be upgraded once my FWD rookie i bring in makes enough money.
Hoping it'll be Honeychurch. JKH/Lloyd will be out.
Suckers wont need that much cash to push out, so yeh.
Seems solid if you will still have the trades left over to do all that. Looks very nice indeed :)
By rnd 10 my team will be more finished than most others.
I'll hopefully be gaining more points and moving up the ladder quicker than others.
Nice work man, the plan looks rock solid.
I have gone with the same trades you are doing this week but will be doing them next week. Beware with the Caff tag on Murphy but I'd still expect 80+ or there abouts, umps have seemed to be more aware of the taggers and are being more watchful which is good for our premium midfielders.
I'd grab Hibberd and Gray out of the options you have listed for bringing in a forward and defender.
Expect to rise nicely over the coming weeks.
You going to look at getting Dusty in after round 8 mate? Deledio back in will help his scoring i'll be considering Higgins to Dusty since Higgins has the round 9 bye to

The DEF premos are both Hibberd & McVeigh (just read rumors he's slightly injured)
My only problem is the lack of DEF rookies. Tippett might not hold his spot.
Just need a scoring DEF as cover.
The FWDs are out of the 3. I'd feel more safer with Parker.
And thanks. Hope I do rise quickly in the coming weeks.

Dunno yet. Don't think so.
Got my byes/ideas lined up till after rnd 9.
TBH I dunno what to do with Higgins/Fasolo yet.
Lloyd/JKH haven't made enough money for me to trade 1 out and upgrade both Fasolo & Higgins in one swoop.
If Honeychurch comes in I'll jump on him and hope he gains more money than JKH and Lloyd have so I can upgrade Fasolo and Higgins.
After thats done I'll look at upgrading Suckers/Wright/Macrae to premos.
Really solid plan! Hopefully no injuries over the next few weeks to throw it out.
If it all goes to plan I think you should make a big push up the rankings
Had an awful weak, 2 injuries, lost 2 league matches (main one against me best mate)
do i hold mitchell & jaensch??
still continuing with my plan, just tweaked it a bit.
my new plan was Wright, Merrett, May out for Gray, Dahlhaus, McVeigh but im $3,600 short >:(
i can get Parker. thats leaves me with 17 players for rnd 8 bye.
or do i go Jaensch, Smitch, Wright out for Dahlhaus, McVeigh, Hibberd and have 18 players for the bye

I would be tempted to hold Fas as he has a low B/e and will rise more in cash for you.
Not 100% sold on Jaensch as a keeper would spend the 100k extra and get Swallow who is enjoying the freedom with tags going elsewhere at Suns.
Not sure how many trades you have left but need to look at managing so you have a minimum of 4 for finals but first goal is making finals.

now the question for me is Buddy/Gray/Boomer ??
Gray, Buddy and Boomer in that order is my opinion. Boomer likely to have a brain fade with a tagger and get suspended reason why. Gary seems to be having quite a bit of mid time (possibly at Wingards expense) so he is the obvius choice and buddy is Buddy very unpredictable.

Very good team Keepz. Simpson has been great all year, I've been lucky enough to have him since the beginning.
Very nice team. How many trades do you have left?

How is your team ranked 20k? I'm 3k and your team is arguably better than mine

This. I'm ranked 55th and my team is only like 20ppg at max better than yours
Onfield is decent, benches are pretty weak. Just cross your fingers and toes there are no late outs from week to week.
