GREATER Western Sydney has launched a bold $4 million play for disgruntled Collingwood defender Heath Shaw.

After being jilted by Buddy Franklin, the Giants have zoned in on Shaw with a deal believed to be around $800,000 a season for five years.

Heath Shaws reported five year deal worth $5 million from GWS is 'a fair way off the mark' according to his manager Ben Niall.

Niall told 1116 SEN that the Giants had made a 'compelling offer' but it was not in the vicinity of the deal reported in the Herald Sun this morning.
