Rocky will play Jay - Unless he suffers setback after todays training.

Would Do Daw to Nicholls
Viney to Hrovat
This would give 21 on field assuming all selected

Mitchell can wait till next week.

So for the third trade You could go
a)Dwyer to Minson would mean losing Rowes DPP but maybe re-establish with Gawn next week.
b) Jacobs to Minson
c) Dwyer to Roughead
d) O'Meara to a Prem of your choice

Option a will only leave 20 players on field other options leave 21 on field.

Ringo's all over it but just for something different.

Gawn to Nicholls
O'meara to Hrovat
Jacobs to Minson

Gets you 21 this week and frees up about 250k for next week where you could look at Viney to Mitchell and Dwyer to premium forward.

A few options for you.

This week I see Viney and Daw as problems who need to go.

Grab Nicholls and Hrovat and have $276000 left over.

Gives you about 20 - 21 on field pending selections (esp Dwyer)

You could offload Dwyer (353 + 276 = 629) for Walker and have $108000 left for next week.

Prior to round 13 O'Meara and Crouch and Rowe could go -> $958000.

Grab NicNat (580odd) and Mitchell (116) and whoever into mids worth up to $260000 ie a rookie.

Gives you a donut free 12 and 13 and leaves you with

5 1/2 def - Goodes = 1/2
7 mids
2 rucks - Jacobs?
5 1/2 fwds - JJK = 1/2.

Jay in terms of trading at this stage of the season I would be keeping two things in the forefront of my mind.

1. You need to nail your rookie selections on the head as I don't think there will be many more coming along this season.
2. Pick the best premiums possible, this obviously takes into account bye structure along with the run home for each team.

Therefore i think T.Mitchell and Nicholls are musts over the coming weeks. And as I'm sure the majority of this site would agree that you should be locking in one or two of Minson or Goldy (ruck position is untaggable and super consistent).

This week:
1. Viney/Crouch - Hrovat (+$100k)
2. Daw - Nicholls (+$150K)
3. Dwyer - Minson (-$220k)       Kitty(approx) = $55k

Post round 12 bye:
1. O'Meara - Mitchell (+300k)
2. Rowe - Bartel (-$350k)

Rucks : Minson, Jacobs (Nicholls, Gawn)
Fwds: Cox, SJ, Bartel, Rocky, Martin, JJK (Kennedy, Staker)

Hrovat out. Now what? :-[
Title: Re: The Last 2 Bye Rounds
Post by: Ringo on June 14, 2013, 05:48:33 PM
Would still be tempted to do the Hrovat trade as if you go to Martin you will have only 21 available players next week.

Won't have any more than that if Hrovat cant crack the side ;)

I will do Daw --> Nicholls but then it gets tough.

You still for trading Dwyer even though he is named?

With Rowe being named does that help.

Posted in the other thread Crouch to Martin is OK so long as you can compensate next week,

Thanks mate and yes that helps a tad, have moved him forward so I can play Nicholls.

I am not sure whether I'll be able to compensate but since I'm going for league, I may be ok with just having 1 bad week :)

Think you will be OK if upgrading O'Meara as this should give you 19/20 players next week.

Yep Omeara gone next week.

So Daw --> Nicholls & Crouch (if not playing) --> Martin

Mitchell next week?

Would love a premium forward though. Time for Dwyer to go! Roughy? Buddy? :o
Title: Re: The Last Bye Round

Viney -> Mitchell

Dwyer -> $570000 - Mitchell = $454,100 plus 'Kitty'.

Here Kitty, here Kitty Kitty. What's your kitty?

Only 17 on field.

You could look at Vardy? In for Gawn. A few points and a few grand?

Buddy is worth the risk given his ceiling.

Depends a bit on how big your kitty is and how many trades you have left and how important this week's league games are.

Title: Re: The Last Bye Round

Viney Mitchell

Rowe to Roughead - You really do not Rowes DPP as you will be able to interchange Cox, Nat and Roughy.

Next week if the cash balance allows Dwyer to Walker - If Cash is required Gawn to McBean as you can afford a dud at R4.

Luckily you seemed to have avoided all the backline carnage :)

First of all to do anything, you are going to need to make some cash.

This week Thurlow > Oxley creating DPP with Staker. Which is very handy come finals for cover.

Then next week maybe Terlich > Clisby.

This will leave you with plenty of cash to upgrade Rowe or Gawn to a premium ruck.
I would be looking at Goldy or even Minson who is set to drop considerably.

This will leave you with a team complete of premiums and 7 trades. Also decent cover in each line.
You will be running Goodes as D6. I haven't done the maths but I'm sure you will have enough cash to upgrade him if you want.

Well done on your team and Good luck Jay ! :)

Unfortunately Oxley isn't named :(

Still think that trde could be worth it, due to cash and dpp.

Yeah I reckon the DPP along with the cash makes it worth it. Plus if your getting him for the DPP and your not going to trade him out again, getting games isn't needed for him.

Swan.

Mundy can go.

He's not good enough for your team.

He's too good for your bench.

You said you have a must win.

Not many others to get rid of apart from Mundy. I guess Goodes could go.

Rowe out for Grimley and Mundy out for Swan. If Rowe is required for DPP then McBean might be a suitable alternative.

In a word - Swan.
Title: Re: Must-win league game

If I do Rowe --> Grimley then I have 2 ruc dpp's in my forwards, that isn't ideal?
Title: Re: Must-win league game

Are you willing to jump on Clisby early? If you are you could do something like

Goodes>Clisby
Mundy>Swan

The week after make one more trade in upgrading Terlich and your team is set unless Nicholls flops

I quite like that idea...

Would leave me with 8 trades + 265k and an almost finished team.

Swan.

Clisby is a great option too.

So its either Rowe --> Grimley OR Goodes --> Clisby. Mundy --> Swan is a definite.

Leaning towards Clisby as it makes me more cash and keeps dpp.

Not necessary to do this week but I would look at Rowe to lowest price ruck McBean if you want the DPP but is it necessary with ability to interchange Nat, Roughie and Cox. Then Bennedy to Walker, Bartel or other prem forward you prefer.

Not sure if I need to trade this week but my team does have some worrying issues, Terlich and Sauce! Have a chunk of cash to splash... 189k in the bank and got a handy 7 trades left but would like to hold some for finals.

Cheers mate! Set on trading Terlich, thinking of a straight swap to Ibbo? Sauce could go as well, want Minson but then I cant afford Ibbo for Terlich... Not too keen on Grimesy, hesitant to trade in a Dee haha,

If you want to make some cheap alternatives for Terlich, Grimes and Duffield are the options that stand out. Hibberd is also about as cheap as I expect him to get. One guy who is really consistent at scoring between 80-90 every week is Adcock. He is relatively cheap, has a nice run home, but has only really had the one big score this year.

If you want to get rid of Sauce, Goldstein is the guy

Fair enough !

Terlich > Ibbo
Jacobs > Walker ( Via Cox or Roughy )

How about that ?

Gives you some more flexibility and Walker is probably the best forward you can possibly get right now.

If your not keen on some Rioli then just hold as Gawn is in good form plus GWS this week.

Nicholls should be back next week but beware he will begin to lose cash unless he scores 120+

Otherwise very strong going into finals Jay !

Yeah The Doc's trades look good but just grab Grundy instead. Same price and has more chance of playing.

Looking good with 3 trades left Jay.

JPK > Watson.

Then one more downgrade and upgrade Priddis if you would like ?

Leaving you with a gun team. :)

EDIT: You could probably afford to go Priddis > Danger straightaway with the cash left over after trading Nicholls and JPK.

Like Doc's trade - either Grundy or Grimley good choice,

Next week even if you go Straight to prelim I would look at trading Martin to Rioli if he does not get his B/e as i think you will have just enough cash to do this.  Will open up a DPP allowing more flexibilty,  Still 2 trades as well.

I would do this Jay Hartlett to Birchill or Brandon Ellis and
Clisby to a forward you can afford by way of Staker, Maybe Petrie who is averaging 112 in last 3 games and game is at Etihad.
or Mitchell to a mid that you prefer up to $600k
or Ibbo to Bob Murphy.

Use emergency loopholes as well if able over the weekend.

Yeah I like Hibberd or Birchall as Hibberd is the consistency king closely followed by Adcock.

But Bob Murphy is great too.

Clisby to a forward sounds good to. Wellingham?

Ibbotson is a worry too and you might have to use your last trade on him but you got no other weak links so all good :)

If I trade Clisby to a fwd then I'll be benching JJK. Seems like a waste having him on the bench when I'm starting Staker in the backs.

Sure it wouldnt be better trading Hartlett and Ibbo to ensure I have maximum points this week?

Anyone think I should take the 114 from Pendles? Or just go with GAJ and hope he bounces back into some form.

Worried because my opponent has Danger VC. Could go huge :-\

Hmm depends on the other players man. Put em up so we can get a better idea.

Commented on your other thread in P&T. Hibberd and Murphy mate.

That is going to be very close. Hopefully since there is no Grima or Thompson, Roughy will kill it.

For some reason, I would be leaning towards Selwood. I reckon Jones will do alright on Gaz.

But yeah it's difficult. Barlow is a guaranteed tonne but its generally around 105-120 with him.

Would be looking at Selwood man!

Yeah very lucky!

Could go SJ but the Great Man, Ablett could very well pump out a 150 today. You just never know!

Roughead (108) vs. Harvey (115)
JPK vs. Watson
Barlow vs. Mundy

Losing by 59. We both have Ablett skipper. Should I switch it to Griff/Barlow?

And this makes it even worse... Andrew Walker has pulled out so he has Lewis Johnson's 83 as his emg while I have Brent Staker!

R.Murphy vs. Hibberd (62)

Staker vs. Johnson (83)

Am down by 321 with Murphy, Griffen and Staker. We both have Ablett captain. Surely I need to change my captain to give myself another POD?
