With ablett's niggling injury who is still sticking with him??? personally niggle or no niggle, i still see a 120 average....
Won't go 115+. Will struggle to chase down 110 if he can't shake off his injuries by round 1. Spud pick for sheep.

Nope, it's called trolling
I'll bet you all that Ablett doesn't go 115+.
I agree with Jukes.
Everyone ignore the troll.
Back on topic, absolutely! The kids around Gazza have matured another year and with Bennell dominating and the likes of Swallow and Prestia and co developing expect Gazz to continue on his merry ways!
ablett will be fine to go round 1 and avg 120+ - some huge games as he will kick more goals when rested in the FWD line due to the other mids getting better
I'll take that bet Jukes.
I'll take the bet too.....may start slowy but will blow 115 out of the water by years end. Trade up target for me rather than starting team but will be in my side for sure

divide Ablett total points at the end of the season by 22 (if he plays less games that's your gamble coz you say he's fine). It'll be less than 115.

You say Ablett will average over 115. Well he may only play 1 game, score 156 then misses the rest of the season with the same back injury. He's averaged over 115, but that's clearly a win to Jukes and myself :P

No that's shower reasoning. You can't add that in after. You said he won't average 115. Virtual Sports works out the average on games participated in. You can't add games he might miss, that's non-sensical ::)

With BJ here, Stants won't get tagged, that coupled with his natural progression hitting the peak of his scoring arc, should easily improve his average to 110+. Will average about the same as Ablett for like 80k less.

Do you like potatoes too? :P
potato's
ummmmmmmm yeah. I usually don't associate myself with idiots, so if you can please leave this thread, the community will appreciate it. :)
Don't drop to Jukes' level PB. I thought you were good...
I give up, being "good" is pointless, credit is never given out.
So being a troll/cockhead and wrecking people's threads is a better way to spend your time?
Right.
i'll probably be in a different mood tomorrow. :P
For the good of the players and trades board... I hope so :P
ablett is a lock. any one who chooses not to start him will regret it.

Actually i probably will in rnd 1 mate with Swan playing the Roo's. I actually told a fib in DT the computer made Swan cpt and SC made Gaz cpt so must just make the most expensive player you have cpt.

Haha, that's what I was thinking. :)
Swanny tears North Melbourne apart, he'll be my captain come round 1. Ablett is always a safe choice though!
i prefer to anger jukes even more and get ablett and swan

If you're willing to take his pathetic scores for what you paid for week after week, fine with me. Just another spot up the rankings confirmed.

You're a hack haha, all talk.
Come on jukes, swan and ablett are almost must haves, if not both you need to have one, they will keep pumping out the scores and are worth every penny spent on them

I have Swan?
Swanny should beat Ablett by 15+ easily.
Garry Ablett Junior was the first player to start a season with three straight 40+ possession games in 2012, you could start him then trade to Swan after week three when Swan fails to make the 133 ave :o

I should of gone on further and expressed that i don't think he believes all he has written regarding Ablett not just the 15+ he has predicted in that post. Swan could very well top Ablett in the opening round as he enjoys and scores well playing against the Roo"s but all the other stuff he has written i have serious doubts he truly believes what he's said. There's not a skerit of fact or evidence to support his predicted demise of Gaz in 2013. Jukes is controversial but he's not daft.
I am just grateful I'm not in any of Jukes leagues.

Ikr, you might actually stand a chance to win a league this season. Plus, I want all top 50 leagues, and your 1000 points per week won't help much.
Wow burn on me.
All talk.
I feel a 10 point spread on avg for 2013 is fair to say for DT but i think 16 is stretching it a bit. Time will tell.
This is obviously a Veteran Coaches thread but Lez i'll take you and your 1000 in my league any day mate. :)

to be fair though, if Ablett goes into the season with an injury, i wouldn't go starting with him, a price drop will come.

Injury is the ONLY thing that would stop me starting Gazza. Not some opinion from some kid on the web ;)
Didn't GAJ have similar concerns last year? We get a bit reactive when little stories come out from Preseasons. Same as Swan having little preseason last year and the whole Arizona thing. Look how that turned out.

I agree Ablett will struggle to reach 110. Je overperformed last year and cant see him replicsting a season like thst again.s
:o Again same old pre season stories ----Ablett-too expensive, will drop off, will not ave 110
---- Cox too old, nicnat will take his points
Let them be unique.

yeah, because his 4 year average isn't 119.
2011 he came into the season with no preseason, almost no fitness after offseason surgery and still averaged 112.
Why the flower would he, with pretty much a full season, drop flowering 15+ points off his average, and nearly 10 points off his 4 year average when he's essentially fully fit?
Substantiate your claims, think about what your saying, or flower off and stop trolling.
People are clutching at straws trying to find a realistic reason not to pick him. :P
