Title: 2013 Player Profile: Kyal Horsley
Post by: Cicjose on September 28, 2012, 12:56:37 AM
2011 average: N/A

2012 average: 75 from 13 games

a mature aged recruit with the Gold Coast he was recruited after a great season with Subiaco which culminated in finishing runner up to Luke Blackwell in the Sandover Medal in 2011.

in 2012 he ended up top 5 for tackles and centre clearances, also he ranked in the top 15 for disposals, inside 50's, clearances, and contested possessions after playing only half of the season

IF Kyal can get onto the field more regularly next year i'm expecting him to have to cope with a secondary tag, but hopefully not.......

Kyal is one of the most highly skilled draftees i have seen in at least the last 5 years and with persistent rumors that continually surround Josh Toy, a midfield spot in this team is his for the taking.

His skills should provide much needed support to Gary Ablett and he is going to have to take the next step at AFL level for Gold Coast to be remotely competitive next year.

Expected average = 100

he got his big points when GAJ didnt play and plays on the outside getting the cheap points. Will be interesting to see what price he will be next year

sorry but Kyal definitely does not play on the outside

Nice find Cicjose. He's definitely underpriced for what i think he could average. I think he'll hit 90+ and based on early form he is capable of averaging 100... but i think 90 is more likely.

nice idea for a profile mate, but not for me int he midfield - yet again, there are just too many mid pricers who have more to offer at a cheaper price
