"Medical and fitness staff had cleared Franklin to play, and his training form indicated he would play, but Franklin said no."
:'(
is it just me or do others think that there is something else, not injury related, causing him not to play. i just find his whole situation to be a little odd.
if u include missing this weeks game against GC, his 'hammy' will have kept him on the sidelines for 6 weeks.
Considering he injured the hammy against Carlton the week before then played against GWS and did further damage, I really don't blame him for wanting to take an extra week off to rest up if he felt some tightness.
Could be the repercussions of when he flipped his car. ????
Just putting it out there.
he been saying yes last few weeks now he says no ??? i'm not getting him next year i'm over the retard
The 3rd strike Renour is still alive

He didn't actually full on flip his car?!?!
Didn't he just have a bit of a prang?
I'm getting next year and the year after for that matter.
A lock!
saw a post last week saying there were rumours he had tested positive for the 3rd time for drugs.
This 'injury' was a way of covering it up, and the reason he played against GWS was so it could look like it was serious,
Just what was said last week so dont quote me as i dont really believe it myself
The remour was when he first had the "hamstring injury " was a cover up because the afl didn't want the biggest player in the afl to give it a bad name and that he wont play a game for the rest of the year. This is all sounded rubbish but each week he doest play....if he plays soon which he will it's put to rest, but if he wasnt to play finals .... They would play him with one leg.
aker has just posted it on twitter

gonna be an intersting morning for the afl see what happens there
I dont know what to believe.......
something shady is definitely going on. has to be.

i'm over the man-stain aswell, but no doubt when next year comes around he'll probably be one of my first picks
Huh, I'm hearing rumours Buddy has been bought out by the NRL? [/sigh]
Seriously gents, rumours are rumours are rumours and nothing but rumours. For the time being all we actually knows is he pulled a hammy and it must have been a pretty bad one for him to be out for this long. Aker is just stirring the pot which is fine, but once we read any further into it there's nothing to see.

+ 1. He's so annoying. I don't want to pick him next season for many reasons
: gets suspended and injured alot
: It's unique not to have him and u win in situations like the last 5 weeks
: He's a bit up himself
: His accuracy kicking for goal is average at best
: Still gives away too many frees
But like u say I might end up picking him anyway because
: He's a bloody good player
:It's when u don't have him he scores so well
: He has so many shots at goal / influence on the game / possesions up the ground/ that he makes up for inaccuracy and frees against
Please miss Buddy!
Give Pav a better chance at the Coleman..
If this 3 strike BS turns out to be true it will be one of the darkest days for the Hawthorn Football club :(

missing games = no tests on game day (ie no in competition test)
i am tempted to trade buddy to veams even if he does play. surely after 5 weeks he will be rusty and take a week or so to get back into it.
:o :o ;)
Hmmm, correct me if I'm wrong ladies and gentlemen but weren't there rumours around at the start of the season when Beams wasn't playing that he had indulged in the third strike ???? And look at him now !!! And of course having said that I'm in the same position as a lot of others wondering whether to hold or trade Buddy. Well the way I see it he plays for or against you in rd 23. If he plays this week I'll hold, otherwise it's a trip to the beer fridge for inspiration. Best wishes to all and were I a bookmaker I'd be taking all bets against the 3 strikes.

I'll have some of that ;D but the AFL will cover it up so... :P
Hey Sanretoothed one,
I'll bankroll you for a 10% return.
3 strikes - my hairy side bottom!
I'd get Buddy if priced under 600k...

That rumour mill was that he spoke to Carey about the change rooms love of Bucks, and Bucks showed him where the power lies and dropped him until he learnt his lesson.
