Title: Forward Line in Strife
Post by: beafchief on August 10, 2012, 06:46:13 PM
Current team:
Backs: Deledio, Goddard, Shaw, Carrazzo, Scotland, Waters, Fisher (S. Shaw, Spurr)
Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Priddis, J. Selwood, Mitchell, Miles (Swan, Crozier)
Rucks: Cox, Kreuzer (Redden, Campbell)
Fordwards: Sidebottom, Dangerfield, S. Johnson, Martin, Goodes, Franklin, Porplyzia (Adams, Smedts)

3 Trades left and $18,200 in the bank
In two qualifying finals and one elimination, would you make any trades? It'll be touch and go at best in all games.

Already got Stevie J, without checking their prices I should be able to afford Watson but I don't mind parking Swan on the bench for two weeks. At the moment my main concern is the two donuts I'll cop this week in my forward line if I don't trade.

Actually, are you a good chance at winning all 3 with Swan on the bench you reckon?
If so, go Franklin -> Beams and then Porpus -> Walker?
Ahh you are 2k short... hmmm...

Goodes is probably your next best bet. With Sylvia your 2nd best option.

Already got Goodes. I'm just 2k short of being able to go Franklin to Beams and Porps to Fyfe.

I can cover Swans absence with Miles, so that's ok, but I have 4 outs in my forward line this week. So, that'll be 2 donuts unless I trade, hence, why I am more concerned about my forward line than Swan not playing

Sorry not looking at your team closely enough. Been a long day...
Ahh... this game is frustrating...
You could downgrade Smedts and upgrade Porpus??

How about

Franklin to Rioli
Porps to Fyfe

Rioli has been scoring quite well

Haha no worries. Yeah was looking at that and bringing in someone like Beams, but I've really been struggling to find a good downgrade target that I could afford if traded Beams in.

Hahah too risky to buy someone in SC whos' durability is not good and is a likely candidate to get rested.

I actually quite like that idea, cheers. Normally I can't stand Rioli only cause he can be incredibly inconsistent and everytime my opponent has him he plays well haha. But I reckon these trades might be the ones I make.

I was wondering if you ended up doing these trades or not.
Really bad luck that they both screwed you over.

Haha unfortunately I did. Ah well, it didn't end up too badly, still scored 2385 and won through to two prelims.
