There are a large number of players returning from injury late this season, or for the start of next season that will be at a discounted price in 2013.
Ive gone through the AFL injury list and picked out the players who I think are SC relevant
Which ones will you be grabbing?
Let me know if I have left anyone out :)
ill be looking at David Swallow to, missed alot of games this year and will be plenty undervalued if he has a good preseason

not taking any risks in the mids, my mids will be Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury and Jack.
But the fowardline has heaps of value : Staker, Gray, LeCras, Kennedy to name a few.

That will be a very expensive line. Possibly the top 4 priced mids for 2013

Yep willing to do it though. have learnt that there is no substitute for quality and that there are bigger bargains in the defence and foward line.

Have you noticed that the value of players has dropped significantly. Last week there were 4-6 players 600k or more. The season started with 15ish players 600k or more. Also th mot expensive last week was Cox at 629k with a breakeven of 239. You want to buy small and sell high, there prices of all the above should drop in one point or another. Of course you want maybe one or 2 to start the season for captains choices but I wouldn't get soo mnay rd 1.
LeCras

+1 I started with Gaz and Pendles this year and regreted it about 3 rounds in when Pendles price slump began
Couple more but probably not as relevant as those on list
Ash McGrath -
Lachlan Keefe was cementing his place in Pies lineup prior to leg injury
Zaharakis if it continues,
Michael Osborne
Gary Rohan

Im actually not sold on LeCras, I thought he was a sure thing but I had a look at his scores and hes actually never Avgd more than 80's. In saying that if hes at a nice price I would have to consider

That's true but he was going to be getting more midfield time this season so hopefully he will next year and if he can improve his average up to 95+ he'll be a bargain pick up.

Yeah thats what I was hoping for but the west coast midfield has gone up another level and I cant see him getting a heap of time in there. West coast also have an abundance of quality forwards though so I dont know where his place will be in 2013. Hopefully its revealed in the pre season so we can all make our mind up
Fisher? Scores poorly because he has to take a tall. Next year their defenders should be back so he will free up again...
Also Stanton. NOT as a keeper but a midpricer who can go up 100k or so and then straight swap for a proper premo...If eh keeps scoring 80 odd he will be quite cheap next year...
What about X-Man (Xavier Ellis)
Hopefully he goes to GWS and does a Luke Power type a role :P
2013! I am still on 2012 :P
Harley Bennell
Trent Mckenzie
Anthony Miles
Toby Greene
Treloar if still FWD/MID
just a few i can think of right now
I'll defs be looking at
-le cras perfect midpricer
-kennedy perfect midpricer
-Big Lue will average 100+
-krak perfect midpricer
-bennell to average 105+
-jack as a super prem
-wright for full breakout
-cotchin as full on 120+ prem
-fyfe will be a top 3 forward
-menzel returning
-duncan to average 100+
-pearce(port) if def lock
-hartlett if dpp lock
And lastly hodgey if he has a full pre season :)
Staying away from Bock.
Barlow is just starting to come good, 2 years after his break. Dale Morris might not ever come back. Nathan Brown was never the same after he broke his leg.
Nicnat still has improvement left in him and could begin to challenge the mids as one of the top scorers in the whole comp.
Jackson Thurlow as my smokie rookie.
pretty sure Hamish Hartlett is better than most of these guys, if you disagree you are wrong

yeah I will go get Hartlett so he can injure himself again. No thanks.
Unless he can have the most amazing pre season, be very good value, DEF/MID, and confident in his body then I'd consider him

unfortunately your right! Hamish is just so injury prone, he gets his body right Port and us who pick him will reap it BIG time
Staked should be dirt cheap. Bit of a risk though. I like a few options from freo coming through. For example lower is my tip for a Breakout.
I wouldn't touch any Freo players who knows of they'll play each week and where they'll play.

Bit harsh but agree 100% - just hope he does not kill Fyfe or Lower as well.

Yeah he is, unfortunately... BUT I am open to selecting him if everything falls into place - It is just a huge risk for not that much reward really?

He probably will Fyfe and Lower the new Freo ruckmen for 2013 lol
1. Fyfe
2. Hodge
3. Lecras
4. Leuenberger
All of these guys a fair way ahead in the votes. Im tipping they will feature in most teams
Going to be so many good mid priced options next year! Might look at quite a different structure to the normal guns n rookies.
FYFE is a gun. I don't care who coaches him, he'll score well. Even Lyin' isn't stupid enough to not let him do his thing.
CHRISTENSON is one that has been injured alot and I would have started him this season if not for injuries. He is also a gun and with Chappy slowing down and a changing of the guard he'll get heaps of mid time whilst still being available as a FWD. Hard at the ball, tackles, kicks goals.
VARDY pending ruck time and form will be on my ruck watch list.
If MITCH CLARK played for a much better team then yes but he doesn't so no.
SANDILANDS COULD be good but I have a feeling age and injuries will derail him.
HODGE is a yes if niggle free and cheap
LE CRAS could be great. Think he was averaging in the 90s when West Coast wasn't as successful as this year so it's very possible for that to be a 100 avg. He is a great shot for goal. Stints in the mids would help.
