Thinking of hosting a FF Youth league, would people be interested?
Teams:
JB
CF
Torp
Fletch
Shaggy
Spinking
Cyrus
Valk
Cookie
BP
I'm finished with Youths, sorry.
Yes please
Me :D
Count me in ;)
First 8 in will get a spot, so we have 4 so far.
Count me In.
Me!!
I'll play
Sounds like one spot left...
By the way I'm unavailable Sunday's and Thursday's like most people are
Saturday's or Monday's?
My youths are young and only rate in the 75-80k range but I'd join still if theres a spot left on a Monday comp.
My youths are young too, can tournaments go over two FTP seasons?
Am I too late?
If not, count me in
You can take my spot if you are valk.

I'd be interested
12 team league?? Is that possible??
This will most likely be taking place next season, right? If so someone can have my spot. My ratings will be terrible next season as I lose a few 19 year olds
Is 12 possible? If it is we can play with that
10 is the maximum JB. You can make leagues of 4, 6, 8 or 10 ;)
Can we get this started as quickly as possible by the way since it looks like it will be going over 2 seasons. I would like most of the matches played this season... :)
Don't listen to CF he only wants that so he can win :P
It would actually be interesting if it could get setup for half this season half next season...
Il try for 5 this season and 4 next season followed by a grand final playoff between the top 2
Sry been AFK last few days (been very sick *Cough Cough )
but my Affiliates will play if there is a free spot

Are we still planning this??
The sri Lankan Cup is run on Sunday's and Monday's... It's still a blurr to me so not sure when these days are. ALthough i think it goes over 2 seasons. Zzz is playing in it aswell.
Yeh i need to make my mind up... :-/
If you need an extra player JB, I'm keen.
Sorry iv been away from a computer all week il have a look at organising it properly tonight but it will be on Monday's
Ok so first 10 teams in the first post. PB and chrisuzz can you play Monday's?

Got an invite and have accepted. Am gonna get pumped by a couple of you fellas but will be a good learning curve while my youth academy improves. Hopefully it hits excellent by Eos
Just waiting on valk, shaggy and spinking. Cut off is tomorrow so need these confirmed asap
Waiting on a bloke to confirm cancellation of a friendly. Anyone know of a way to speed it up?
You don't need to cancel mate :) you'll just have 2 games
When I try to accept the comp invite it says I've already got games shedule on that day so won't let me sign up. Very frustrating.
The comp has been cancelled due to insufficient teams entering.... ::)

Really sorry guys. Was looking forward to it, but couldn't get the bloke I was playing in a friendly to accept the cancellation. Most annoyingly he was just a random that I wasn't looking looking forward to playing. >:(
I'm still keen if it can get up and going at a later point.
You werent the only one who didnt sign up mate no dramas. We will just have to delay the start an extra week.
I might be able to join if we can hold on a bit longer...

Round 1
Next Round : 06 Aug 2012 05:30
Torpedo's Titans v Fletch's Fossils
The Matchbox Matadors v South Side Panthers
The Brat Pack v Norwood Redlegs
Tickle My Timber v bundy bashers
Valkorum v Spinkings
A first round match up against shaggy for me. Good to see how my side is looking
I thought you were gonna stop with youths?
Yeah I am planning on it but if Beard doesn't sell I will maintain a good academy. If he sells then no youth academy. I am still rather strong for now until my 19 year olds leave
Good should be pretty easy to maintain anyways :)
Yeah hopefully. Have considered pushing it higher but can't be bothered right now
Running double superior academies is making me lose money each week sometimes i wonder is it even worth it...
I am currently Running superior/good. Senior/youth. Will push youths to excellent if Beard doesn't sell
Hmm i think someone will buy Beard, though hes not for me at that price...
I listed him for 100k to give me the option to continue with youths or ditch them
I run a luxurious YA

Beat Torp by 70 runs today. Batted first on a hard pitch and my two best batsmen both failed opening the innings, Sloane out for a first ball duck and Wilkinson out for 20. 39.4 . Keerthiratne to Gardebroek : [great fielding] Cut fiercely, but an excellent stop by Mudie at point saves four.

I remembered to set orders this week :)

Lost to shaggy tonight by 5 wickets, conceding the winning run off the final ball of the game :(
Forgot to set orders for the game, but not going to use that as an excuse, I'm going to use the fact that we dropped 5 catches and missed 2 run outs the reason we lost!! ::)

Looks like CF's superior tactics kept the game close.
Could have been even closer if my team didn't drop Maurice on 2 (made 11), Lambert on 13 (made 20), Hill on 40 (made 75) and Mudie on 10 (made 32 not out). That was an extra 73 runs given to your team!
Whereas all your team did was drop Cramer on 7, and he went on to make 8!
Oh well, I never expected to win. I look forward to playing you once you lose all your 18 and 19 year olds though :P
I only have 1 x 19yo and that is Alpin Hill but the core squad of 7 x 18yo (all at least cap/cap and 2 x reli/reli) definitely helps :)
My youth squad has jumped up to 10th overall ranking in Scotland. I only have 3 x quality 17yo and 2 x quality 16yo at the moment but I am trying to limit my squad to 4 or 5 of each age group.

It had already hit this time last season as most of my players were either listless or clinically dead. So far the average is about passable. I have 3 on satistfactory and they are being rested for todays game and 3 guys on revived are coming in
That's probably because you have more players than last season...

But they are some pretty talented 16 year olds. Adriaans is avg/reas batter with ord power + skilled power, which is why he could score so quickly, as for Cramer he is just avg/avg in the bowling side of it, but the pitch did suit him ;)

Maurice has a habbit of doing that - gets to a milestone and then gets out. Need to work on his concentration over the off-season.

Playing cookie and trying to steal second place of Fletch I knew what I needed to do, play full strength, bat first despite the slow pitch and rack up a giant total. 4/317 equals Mission Accomplished, closer than I would've liked though

Congrats valk on the win :)
Looking forward to doing this again, and with no 19 year olds in my current squad I should be able to put up more of a challenge :)
Thanks CF. If it goes around next season I will prob be a little stronger as I will have 7 x 19yo.
Anyone keen to fund this?
Thought I had enough credits, but turns out I don't so I can't sorry :(
