This bloke is a massive steal in my view, hes priced at 437k, that unbelievable. Love to hear what you all think?

short answer yes get him, only 2 shockers 6 out of 10 over 100 he is a gun. high of 130

Assuming you have Ablett you want a second round 13 premium mid if possible to provided cover over 11 and 13, and if you have horsley or sexton you upgrade or downgrade them after round 12 giving you just your 2 round 13 premiums for round 13 bench. Now is the time to get mitchell if thats similar to your situation plus he has bottomed out.

Yeah i have GAJ and i have Horse, im thinking of going T Dickson to Jamie Eliiot and Horse to Mitch, horse has a big be and i dont want to be choking any money, That will leave me with 10 trades and a midfiled when fit and playing of,
Swan Pendles GAJ Selwood Mitchell Zorko Treloar JMac
Then ill be able to go Teloar and Jmac to Boyd and Couch hopefully hes in in the next week or so and ill be set and left with 8 trades for the run home.
Sounds awesome in theory, i hope the injury/rest train doesnt flower me late in the year

Im tempted to do this too but would love to finish my midfield off with Thompson and Stanton... Both set for massive drops over the next few weeks... I think ill play it patient, but luck would have it that one of those 2 get injured and ill look at mitchell again at a higher price! dt, you suck!

yeah patience is key - rather have thomo & stants in the team, worth the wait imo

Despite his cheap price Mirchell won't be a top 6 defender at seasons end.

Need to have Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Boyd, either Watson or Stanton...

Thommo and Mitchell have struggled with tags and will score poorly on occasions.

There has to be a bit of upside in Mitchell's game once Hodge finally returns..?

Scoring has been pretty good. I dunno why there is so much ridicule.

Look at his scores this year and you will be far from dissapointed.

Overall, nothing wrong with him.

If he scores 100+ from here on in and is 100K cheaper than 'a top 6 mid' then why not?

His next 5 opponents are -

Port (AAMI)
Lions (MCG)
Carlton (MCG)
GWS (MCG)
WB (Etihad)

Looks tasty to me.

Maybe, maybe not.

Last 3 vs PA - 79, 110, 128

Last 3 vs Bris - 132, 105, 119

We'll have to wait and see. Going to the game on Sunday so I'll keep a close eye on him.

Im thinking of downgrading Taylor Adams to Elliot or Walsh this week and upgrading Jmac to Mitchell or waiting a week to upgrade him to Selwood and upgrade Horsley later

But I'm tempted to downgrade Horsley next week and upgrading Jmac to Stants

I think he is a good option but like Mr Craig says the Cornes and Raines tags are a little worrying

I know hindsight will come a bite me on this but, comparison between Mitchell and Thompson.

Thompson currently  -  $501,300, 189 breakeven, average 108, and total points 1,086
I dont see Thompson getting rested, but it is worth a considering this...
Round 20 - Fremantle, tagged out of a DT efective game.
Round 21 - Brisbane, tagged out of a DT efective game.
Round 22 - Melbourne, will he be rested this round or round 23? Also poor scoring in the last 3 meets.
Round 23 - Gold Coast (Played at AAMI so if he is rested would it be safe to assume round 22 when they travel to MCG??) Smashed early in the year. Scored 135

Mitchell currently      -  $437,500, 87 breakeven, average 102 and total points 1,027.
Round 20 - Port - Decent scoring in the last 3 meets.
Round 21 - Gold Coast - A nice 130 odd and a 90 last year
Round 22 - Sydney (SCG) - Poor scoring in the last 3 meets.
Round 23 - West Coast - Scores very well against them.

If you wait a week and trade him in round 13 youll basically have them at the same price. Before looking at the DT final rounds i was not even condiering Mitchell and was laughing at those who were (Sorry guys!), but now im thinking of picking him over Thommo (sorry babe, ill start you in my DT next year).

I'm getting Mitchell this week for horse then I'll get either Thompson Boyd or Stanton after round 12-13, Mitchell is the best pickup of the season at that price
