Title: Pendles' cracked tibia.
Post by: Jormas on June 04, 2012, 03:02:45 PM
Collingwood says 2 weeks, reports and opinions say out til about rd.14-15....

Oust him/keep him?

By the way, midfield is Pendles, Boyd, Hayes, GAJ, Jelwood, Horse (JMac, Treloar)

Pendles = out
Jelwood = groin niggle and probably rested against out of form Carlton
Boyd, jMac, Treloar = bye round
Fielding Horse(selection issues), GAJ and Hayes (playing GCS and may be rested???)

FMDT, i give up. probably wont score 1500 if worse comes to worse...

Just confirmed by official Collingwood twitter feed;

Geoff Walsh on Pendlebury: "He had a scan this morning revealing a slight crack in the top of his tibia. He'll be on crutches for 3-4 days"

Collingwood FC ‏@Collingwood_FC
"He won't play this week and we have a bye the following week, but beyond that we're pretty confident he'll come up the following week".

Might just have to go Pendles -> Stanton ::)

And I thought us Pendles owners were getting better off from the Swan injury ::)

Exactly, it's probably a hairline or something, not too serious, but still, probably warrants 4 at least with such a vital bone for the game we love..

Cannot afford many more donut, might pull the trigger if not named and get Jobe/James Kelly/Chapman...

i get to eat a donut in round 11 for him 2 if swan rests again, on the cards given didaks form the form of wellingham blair and the youngsters on top of beams and sidebottom, no need to rush swanny back for the dee's, i'm betting he will be back but could be two donuts for me this week, no way i'm trading them, add to that an extra donut for scotland in 11 and 12 and just imagine the ground i'm losing on the field over these damn byes

You think you have bad luck?
I potentially will be eating 9 donuts this round and more to come.
Backs: Hargrave
Mids: Boyd (Pendles and maybe Selwood + maybe Hayes rested against GCS....)
Rucks: potentiall 2 is Stephenson and Redden aren't named.
Fwds: Dangerfield and Zorko...

FMDT..

Thank for the update mate :)

Not good, if he played the half on it I expect he'd be okay after a couple of weeks off.

they did say really minor crack. It's probably the smallest crack you can get or something :P

I'll apologise now for trading in Pendles and causing this. I was also responsible for killing cornes' scoring, wards, and injuring murphy. But Golby and Gaff owners can take solace in that when I traded them out they started firing :P

Saying 2-6 weeks, I'm leaning towards >/= 3 weeks.

Stress fracture of the tibia, even though small, requires one to not do anything too strenuous for quite a few weeks to ensure adequate healing of the bone. If not, the fracture gets bigger, or it becomes  chronic problem.

Unfortunately I don't think Pendles will be back within 3 weeks, however I'm more than happy to be proven wrong.
