Option 2: Broughton

Which one .. Leaning towards adcock . Your thoughts
Broughton for me. He only requires a permanent role change to the midfield to become a top 2 defender in the league. With a new coach it may be on the cards. I can't say the same about Adcock and he has that terrible injury history.
Broughton easy should move into the Mid this year,Performed good last year better in 2010 i think may of been a bit out of posistion but with a new coach and Midfield time i think its Broghts easy

Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't Broughton's stints in midfield last year only lessen his scoring??? :o
Even if he doesn't move into the midfield, Broughtons average should increase, as Ross Lyon's defenders traditionally score well.

Are you kidding?, when he played mid he was getting 20+ disposals and 5+ tackles, he was a ball magnet. If he plays mid in the nab cup I'm jumping on
nichsa, he averaged like 105 in the mid :P
no contest-broughton
i say broughton but it is highly unlikely he will spend much time in the midfield. all players back from injury and it said in the west not long ago that ballantyne is being added to the mids to add speed. broughton doenst have speed
i doubt he will play a lock down role though so hopefully plenty of mark/kicks in the backline
Very hard to split these two. I lean towards Adcock if his role is correct.
comes down to the role they play for both, i have adcock for the price (same thing your obviously deciding between these two for) but more so because i need a round 11 bye keeper. I would have broughton tho im not convinced he will outscore adcock but i already have shaw and heppel and clarke on rnd 12 bye.
Having the personel back around him in the lions defence will also help adcocks scoring imo....
not sure what you guys are talking about, no contest go adcock. Always choose the player who the risk is injury, rather than the risk is will he score. If you remove the games where adcock played with a broken hand he averaged 90+.
I have no doubt broughton can still score but will he get a mid spot now with all the injured players coming back, he couldnt get consistent mid time last year why would he now.
Worse case scenariio for adcock is he pumps out some good scores than gets injured and you can trade him out for a straight swap for a premium. What happens if broughton plays the shut down role and socres 70 70 70 in the first 3 rounds, do you trade him out or wait? dont get stuck like last year.

+1
Ha - i love possitive reinforsement, did i mention above "I have Adcock" :) thanks Holzman
Isn't there rumours that Broughts is training as a swing forward/mid, which might be worse for his scoring?
Broughton as well, seems to have a fixed position IMO that allows him to score well. But then i saw this:

exactly its not like broughton is really cheap if he comes out killing it you can simply pick him as your first upgrade target.
Broughton is too risky with his scoring... Adwilly for me.
Get them both in. Out of the 2 Broughton lean towards Broughton though.

I like their value and think both will increase their output this year. Not real excited by Enright, Heppel, Scottland and co. Might get them in later in the year.
Yeah fair enough. I am having the locks (Lids and Godd) followed by a proven dickhead performer (H. Shaw) and a unique in Pearce Hanley.
Broughton could well sneak in there if he kills the NAB and same goes with the cock I suppose. Pretty happy with these four premos though...
