Title: FG'S MATURE PROFILES: Luke Brown
Post by: Fyfe_gun on December 29, 2011, 04:42:18 PM
Age : 19
Height : 181cm
Weight : 79
Recruited from : Norwood
Club : Adelaide
Status : Fringe player

While he is only 19 I am considering Luke Brown as mature and coming from Norwood he has a lot to live up to. With 2010's Norwood Mature Age players Nick Duigan, Paul Puopolo, Simon Phillips and Nick Lower setting the AFL on fire, it has turned into a breeding ground for future MA players. 2011 players Darren Pfeiffer and Luke Brown will have to carry the Norwood name but heading into 2012 it is looking good already. Brown was picked up in trade week after he was pre-listed by GWS but talk was that he would go highly in the draft if he was entered. He heads into 2012 at the Crows with a mature body after playing 20 league matches last year as well as the under 18 championships. DT wise he is more of the unique pick up as a DPP with mid/def. While there has been little talk on Brown so far, Crows were keen enough to lure him home through a trade so they are keen to acquire his services. It will be an interesting pre-season and could find himself in many teams come NAB cup.

FG's rating: 7/10

Interesting to see where he fits in. I don't see a spot in the crows line-up for him to be honest but i think he'll pick up games sometime in the year.
I'll be skipping him unless something special is produced NAB cup time.

Dont know much about him TBO, but with his mpp status and having been pre-listed he is on my radar

....will monitor him over the pre-season, am hoping he debuts during the season...becoming a prime downgrade target

With the retirement of Scott Stevens and Davis' defection - there are a few spots up for grabs in the back 6 I reckon. whilst there a few options, it is far from set it stone so if he smashes the NAB cup I can defs see Brown sneaking in there.
