Does anybody know anything about Jack Grimes' current situation? Is he training yet or still injured? Anyone considering this guy for 2012?
For some reason I always want this guy in my side, still feel he is under priced coz' his potential is obvious.
I think he is training?
Dont really know would love to find out myself, if healthy, and of course baring NAB cup form I think Ill pick him.
Think his SC potential could outway his DT potential but I reckon If healthy and stringing games together he will be a great scorer in both.
Obviously a little injury prone but he is at a price where you can easily downgrade him if needed and have some cash left to upgrade someone else.
Agree with all the above. I like Grimes but always thought he wasn't be used to his max potential. Maybe the new coach will slot him into a slightly more attacking role. I will be having a close look at his NAB cup form before deciding.
Back training with the main group and will be right for round 1.
:o
My DEF Shaw,Delidio,Adcock,Heppell,Conca,rook,rook (rook,rook)
Only way I can fit grimes is if he is awesome enough in Nab Cup I could give him adcocks spot, or upgrade conca to him. Or add him in place of a rook at the cost of my 5th FWD Christensen. The tough question with guys like Grimes is capability vs reliability and potential scores vs other mid pricers available (TONS IMO) potential scores.
A wait and see for me.
Grimes must be looked at seriously now that his been named co-captain its hard to overlook this injury proned gun.
This spot has been killing me. I started with Hanley, went to Waters and now I have Grimes, lol. So stuck on which mid-price def I should go with. Of course that's what NAB Cup is for, but I still want to have a settled team. =(

Well deserved to get the captaincy....
Hmmmm and just when my backline of...
Goddard, Deledio, Shaw, Hanley, Conca, Mohr, Ellis
(Morris, Smedts)
Was locked away now I find myself looking to squeeze him in... :(
Grimes is locked as my second back ;)

Hmmmm interesting. Massive risk there :P I suppose your midfield is :o
He is tempting to get though, plays the loose ball well in the backline.
Has he ever completed a season with 19+ games??

That settles that then. Grimes locked for NAB Cup at least!
Looking like less and less of a risk... Have had him locked since day 1 !
Very good starting price. Had to put him in.
on that theory it would be hard to leave out waters too. DT and pleyer ability his on par with grimes

Dr Dream Team had them both in his pre-NAB Cup draft team. ;)

Yeah but Waters is getting too old and has peaked, whereas, Jack is young and will continue to grow. But WAters would be a great risk if he pays off.

Yeah. I could easily drop my nuts and go with my other more conservative side. But i feel like i need to do something crazy to try and get over guy's who will trade better then me with a similar team.
A nice chunk of luck with a few selections in the backline and i will be stoked. My forward line is strong and i have gone with Premo 3 rook's in the ruck. Plenty of risk but a first round Midfield like that will hopefully help me recover from any disasters in my backline. Rookie selection is key, i will be watching Nab very closely. if i dont think there is job security with backline rook's then i'll pull the plug on that idea.
Im already really worried about playing 3 rooks in the backline .... how many do you have Kuruki ?

Playing with 2 atm. Clarke and Ellis.
Yeah man, I have ofetn toyed with going a less risky 5 premo midfield. You've inspired me. I'll look into it :)

I have 3 on field. Clarke Ellis and Mohr
Grimes should be your 5th maybe 4th back if you were to pick him IMO. 3rd back means your back is weak, could say the same thing with 4th, that depends if you have another midpricer though.
Shouldn't be your 6th, means that your compromising your whole team, Im not saying anything nobody doesn't already know btw

I am starting two (Ellis and Mohr) but I'm also starting three in the fwd line (Smedts, Walsh and Zorko). Risky? Yes. Will it change? Probably.

Or 3 haha
Feel as though I am wrecking my team by having a 5 premo mid...
dose anyone no if jack grimes has had a good pre seson and is pretty much 100% ready?
thanks
I read about a week ago that Grimes and maybe Sylvia had had interrupted pre-seasons. I think Grimes is a good pick but with anything less than a full pre-season I'd avoid him.
I would say Grimes is good to go. They probably wouldn't have named him as a co-captain if they didn't expect him to play majority of games.

Exactly right! He will start the season and IMO will average 90-105.
I think he has gotta be a lock. Now as their captain they will do absolutely everything to have him on the park. Every week!
