Title: Mature age rookies
Post by: nostradamus on November 02, 2011, 05:49:51 PM
They seem to be getting more important to teams nowdays, and there were some beauties again this year

.....l was thinking it might be worth making a list of players who could get good game time early, and do well

l'll start things off with Giles from GWS, he's 24, a ruckman and looked good in NAB cup this year

.....add any players you like to the list too  8)

I think Tom Young from Collingwood was looking good the in the games he played in 2011, its just a question of whether he will be able to get enough game time at Collingwood. I also think Will Sierakowski will be a popular pick, he is bound to get a good amount of game time at the roos. and of course any key mid-fielders from GWS, that will be in a similar position to what harris and iles were in this time last year.

Dayne Zorko will be a nice pickup especially if he has DPP. He will be 22 years and 1 Month when the season kicks off.
