Title: AFL supercoach finals..
Post by: scotty_222 on September 15, 2011, 01:21:29 PM
the afl supercoach should take a leaf outa the nrl supercoach book and do a finals competition.
nrl one is pretty cool, pick a new team every week.

I agree. Dream Team used to do one, but it stopped a few years ago.

Agree would also maintain interest for Teams knocked out early knowing that they would get a chance for Finals.  Rules would possibly be the issue but reading the NRL SC they are only using 7 Players in the finals so maybe we can adapt that to 11 (10 scores to count and one as emergency) players with unlimited trades and say a $6 -$7m Salary Cap.

The rules for Dream Team when they did it were pretty simple.
- No Salary cap
- Only picked 22 players (no emergencies)
- 1st week could only pick max of 4 player per team
- 2nd & 3rd weeks max of 6 players per team
- GF, max of 12 players per team
- Highest total points for the whole finals series won a prize, weekly prizes also paid.
It was great, kept things more interesting than just great games for the finals series.
