DT 2012 Players Under Consideration
Well the Season is finished, Grand Finals are won and many are already plotting next year.
With that in mind I thought a thread outlining players you may look at in 2012 would be appropriate.
So I have managed to put together a healthy list and please feel free to criticise (with a reason for it) and also add your players under consideration for 2012 DT.

i think he's just putting it out there for debate mate ... feel free to add to the conversation mind you. ;)
Brisbane Lions put in a rookie priced Jarad Polec :)
Andrew Strijk from West Coast :)
Heres a couple. Go nuts.
Brisbane - Callum Bartlett - Unfortunately suffered a LTI this year when was shaping up to add a real touch of class to brisbane, Wished geelong had picked him up in the draft tbh :)
Carlton - Levi Casboult - Infamous for the BoozeCruise before even playing a game, Shown real promise in the late season and has many people talking about him being a suprise callup for the finals. Potential new tall forward target for the blues for years to come.
Geelong - Mitch Duncan - Livewire who can play numerous roles anywhere across the ground. With Geelong's aging list, he may well benefit greatly with a retirement or 2.
- Allan Christensen - Shown fantastic form in the 2nd half of the season. As with duncan (and menzel), may benefit with the aging list. Averaged 85 between rounds 14-24, but due to many substitute effected scores and poorer form in the first half of the season, is only priced at 68. Watch closely.
- Mitch Brown - Long suffering injury plagued tall forward. Showed good form in the VFL early season and earnt some games in the seniors before scumming again to a season ending injury, If all things go well.. potential Mooney replacement in 2012.
what no boak?

Then why make the thread :P
Players I disagree with:
Chapman - Showed signs of being worn out and tired this season. I think it is finally past him and I won't be considering him (and yes, I know he still scored very well this year).
Enright - Too inconsistent this season to warrant what will likely be an expensive backman. Might pick him up if his price plummets during the season.
Bock - No real reason, just don't see him being a huge DT impact while the young Suns defenders are still learning. I think he'll be too much of a KPP.
Cyril - *Twang*. Despite the new running technique, still so injury prone.
Roughead - Has he ever really been fantasy relevant?
Gia - WAY too big a rollercoaster. Always lets you down.
Broughton - Might look at him later but too much risk of being a shut down player if the full Freo midfield is back.
Pav - Seems tired and worn out. Also been struggling with lots of injuries and is starting to look prone.
Carrazzo - Too much doubt over his role. When playing a free, running role, he looks great, but he was playing a shut down role too much this season.
Riewoldt - Not til he proves he can play with consistent form. Struggled for most of the year.
Feel free to disagree with anything I've said.

Only thing I could disagree with is Roughead. Not fantasy relevant but will be a cash cow. Should get a big discount and I'll look at him if he is around or under the 200k mark. He can play half fwd, half back and will get more time on the ball as a back up ruckman so should be good for a 100k price rise in my opinion.
Can't argue with anything else you've said!
N why are people jumping on the creator of the thread? If you don't want to add to the conversation then leave it and go to the next thread. Personally, I think this is a good discussion topic!

Good point. If he's cheap, I might go with him. I did a similar thing with Renouf a few years ago (maybe last year??) when all the Hawks ruckmen were going down and I thought he'd be a good cow. Worked perfectly and was a straight swap for Cox later in the season.
Jack Grimes
Lenny Hayes
A.Morabito
Didak should be good value.
L.Anthony discounted anyone?
Brian Lake?

im looking at all of them.
Jack Grimes? again? really..... ? Has enormous potential to be a real premium but hes been so fragile throughout his entire career. May as well consider yourself starting with 19 trades if you include grimes in your squad.
If your gonna go a risky defender, Brian Lake would have the most upside at his 2012 starting value.
Yeh im a bit gun shy with Grimes after getting stung this year, seems to be a trend with him.
Jonno Brown
Andrew Gaff
David Swallow
Luke Shuey
Sam Reid
Nic Naitanui
Allen Christensen
John Butcher
All will be on my radar next year...
Hurley, Not scoring great d/t wise, but looks promising in the near future
Gaff will be in my midfield for sure!
the kids an absolute magnet!!!
how about this for a mid Ablett, Gaff, Palmer, Barlow, Hayes, Ziebell (hopefully FWD/mid than i can pick Swan also)
Im a big fan of Gaff to, 2012 could be anything. He's a lock already.
Sharrod Wellingham
i really like the look of christianson and duncan and i'm a swans fan
i will be looking at jack watts.
his first year in the afl, he was horrible in my opinion.
this year i watched a few melbourne games and thought he was quite impressive.
another big pre-season this year and i recon he could average around 80ish. not sure of his price but he could be worth a look for me

lol, same. Birds of a feather aye :P As for the prior roughy discussion, he only seems dtrelevant when rucking, so if renouf and hale etc. are fit, and roughy plays as a tall forward, not really worth it imo.
lol, ame;
anyone considering Cordy or Roughead from the Bulldogs?
