How come we don't play Gold Coast again. We want revenge!! (Which will backfire and we'll lose by 50 points)
At least you won't lose his week :D
Although it seems tough for some sides this year to get up after the bye I'd say North in rnd 14(although traditionally a bogie side for Port) seems most likely for next win, however it will be tough coming back from Perth to face them.
No chance in Rnd 19 ;)
Might get the 19 one in & maybe just maybe C Cornes gets a run as then still falls inside the safety barrier of not paying him the extra cash.
No more wins :P
I voted no more :P
I give you a chance against North, but returning from Perth is always tough, and besides, we beat you by 10 goals last time :P

David Rodan kicked 6 last week for Norwood and the Return of the Road Runner may just provide the spark to ignite the Power :-\
No Ebert, no Motlop, no Surjen, no The Chad, no idea iPrimus, no chance.

If we show the same energy as we did in the WC game, we'll win. There's something about that ground that we love. Now it's 6 - 6 vs WC at Perth. And 12 - 10 overall i think.

They could beat Melbourne in round 24 at ADELAIDE OVAL!
Yes that's right a game is being played at Adelaide Oval
I don't think we'll win against Melbourne at the Adelaide oval, it's not AAMI Stadium. The Dees can't win at AAMI, maybe they can at Adelaide Oval.
Poll's Reset.
The collingwood game's a no-brainer. The Hawks game is interesting, Port always do well in those games against Hawthorn in Melbourne. If the Bulldogs are tanking untiul seasons end Port could hae a win at home. Chances are Essendon are fighting for top 8 finish so they will be trying to win by heaps. Melbourne at home we would expect to win, unless Melbourne can still make top 8, that would ruin chances.
Optimistic - 3
Realistic - 1
Pessimistic - 0
You won't beat Melbourne. Despite this weekend, they are still a much better team than you.

The difference between Collingwood and Port Adelaide is that one has a Sidebottom and the other is the bottom side :P
I hope they beat Melbourne, yes that's right - I want them to beat Melbourne. The most important footprint they can make for their financial future is at Adelaide Oval and they need to stamp that authority from the very first game.
GO POWER!!

How many draft picks do GC need? they are difficult to beat as it is!
that's the point :P
couple of years and GC + GWS will be rolling all over every other team for the better part of a decade :P
And Port will still be bottom making up for all the draft picks they didn't get because GWS and GC took them.
We'll be joining you if we can't get a ruckman and a backline...
Browne will come good. Maybe one big backman would help aswell. Glass, Fletcher, Rutten type.
Pies gave the Dons a 30 point head start, how many do you guys want?
(j/k)
The pies won the last 2.5 quarters by 100 points. That team is outstanding. This week will be a boil over.
I'm going to condradict my last post and say I reall, really, really think Port Adelaide have a chance this week. If Collingwood don't bring Alan Didak over and Port play to their absolute best, we will win the game. For Chad Cornes.

With no chaplin, no trengove and no carlile, cloke will have a field day.

Just like how Essendon had no backline so Cloke was to kick 10? I've heard the weather is bad so he may not kick a bag. Also, that will likely dampen the the margin. Still, will be a smashing.

Maybe i went too hard too early, with the last two exclusions, Chaplin and Thomas, i don't feel like we'll get the job done for Chad. Current weather in Adelaide: Bucketing down.
after teams were named i got in and got a lazy 10 on port to win this week. it is a 10 im willing to risk because they may just get up for chad (got to have something to believe in). if they do win i will cash in on handy 195.75 ahahahaha.
and if i lose my tenner well then at least cloke, swan, pendles will rack up for my dt ahahahahah

this years draft was good, next years looks bad. I always rated GC and tipped them against port not very confident of GWS though. Plus not sure if as many mature age players will jump ship. They will need guys like Thomas and Scully to jump ship to not get killed.
Shold Port Adelaide try and buy some more recycled players like Sydney and St. Kilda did (Not Fev though). Think of the players currently in the squad. Schulz, Rodan , Motlop, Davenport. Those guys can all play. Also, with last night's game hopefully Primus doesn't get the boot and we start to play more young kids.
Some guys i believe need to be given a chance are:
#34 Jarrad Redden - 20yo , 205cm , 103kg. Easily a spot in the side now Cornes has gone. Can play in the ruck and up forward.
#32 John Butcher - 19yo , 197cm , 90kg. Another player who can play in the forward line. Was our first pick in the '09 National Draft.
#31 Danny Meyer - 25yo , 184cm , 82kg. Already played 26 games but should be given a run in the midfield.

OR they will go elsewhere for a run. N Lower spring to mind?
I don't know why we got rid of Lower. But think of the positives, some of us would be missing a vital part of our DT/SC if Lower wasn't there.

Meyer looks like being delisted. he is only occasionally good. couldnt even get a game at richmond when they were bottom and hasnt developed since.
Butcher is looking for a trade back home to victoria and he will probably get it coz he hasnt been played in two years
redden is good and should really be ahead of lobbe but lobbe has past afl experience. he will play with lobbe next year when brogan is gone
Why did we get butcher and pittard at the draft with our first picks. both pretty poor players that shold have really gone outside top 50. pittard can be alright but he has a terrible kikc (and they still give him the kick ins) butcer is taking forever to develop when they should have looked at a more mature player in the darling mould. add to that andrew moore that hasnt done anything in two years
we should have aimed to piclk up lycett from wce this year. he went at like 30 and he ws a home grown player. played for magpies last year in sanfl. he could have had a year to devlop with sanfl and then when broges goes come into ruck
Lower was pretty average when at port. it was a good decision at the time. he needed that kick up the ass to become better. he had an average kick at port which he has developed at freo
I think both Adelaide teams need to realise the best place to pick up players is from there own state. We have so much talent down here. Last year Ben Jacobs was our first pick, not Pittard.
