Mitch Marsh too ;)
theres always gonna be exceptions.
off the top of my head those who could have been something in cricket but chose footy.
marc murphy, george horlin-smith, brett montgomery, brett jones and mitchell clark are a few modern day ones, and I'm sure there are much more.
Craig Bradley played state cricket for SA not sure whether he represented Vic also & combined both for a while till footy won out.

Remember when he came back for a visit this one time to stay at his parents lived at Poraka he said going to Alberton to catch up & train with the Maggies dang me he ran all the way down there / done the training session / then ran home. He was a junior little athletics runner. Bit of topic but the one of the truly greatest moment in my eyes of this champ was when Carlton won the premiership one year(?) & he went & gave his medallion to Mots. Did it in front of the MCG crowd. Sorry a tad of topic.

And one of them has turned into a good footballer. ;)
2, clark and murphy are/have been good ;)
yeah wonder what he will choose. cricket is starting to offer alot more money and are getting closer to that of AFL. Depends which they prefer and are better at.

My sister went to school with him at Goulburn Valley Grammar... :D
I would just play whatever I liked better...So I'd choose cricket :P
It depends on what you are best at. I.e nathan bassett tossing up between cricket and footy realise he could have a good footy career over an average cricket career. If you believe you are going to play for australia or have a lengthy shield career then cricket if you belive you have got a 10 year afl career cricket. No point giving up footy if you are the next chris judd to play one shield game or vice versa
brad green gave up a man united contract for melbourne because he didnt think he could make it in soccer.
And Coniglio chooses Football over Cricket.
