Title: RATE MY TEAM (Premier League - Official Site)
Post by: benjy251090 on August 10, 2010, 07:12:07 PM
Hey guys,

Would like any criticism on my team, can be positive or negative, and if possible, a rating out of 10, this is my first time so i have no idea what to expect.

GK: Schwarzer (FU) [Harper (NU)]
DEF: Evra (MU) Dunne (AV) Carragher (LI) Sagna (AR) [Craddock (WW)]
MID: Lampard (CH{C}) Milner (AV) N'Zogbia (WI) Etherington (SC) [Smith (NU)]
FWD: Anelka (CH) Carrol (NU) [Zigic (BI)]

Team will change based on team sheets and stuff

$0 left. Thanks in advance  :)

Not sure about this but I think you might need a big name keeper. Shwarz is more of a backup keeper I think.

I dont agree with You need a big name keeper and schwarz is a back up, your team is well balanced IMO if i could say one thing i wouldnt have Milner while his future is in doubt also Carroll is a good player and will do well when Newcastle play at home and against week opposition i wouldn't have him in my starting 11, but its a well balanced team

Yeah Rob wasn't sure. Also was thinking about Carroll, a bit of a shaky choice.

Well People Will laugh Because i have Kirkland, The reasons i do is because I figure Wigan wont conceed against Blackpool so i should get point there and i have a three game plan to get him out so that will be fine i also think GK's are not that important like out field players the only way they are any use is if the dont conceed and with The Big 6 having problems with injuries with there Gk's apart from gomes and howard why not spend the money elsewhwere just what iam doing, doesnt mean its right :)

I like Nasri and he is determined this year after a injury prone season last year he is Value if he plays he is in my team i would not touch milner untill his future is clear personally, you can check starting lineups prior to the tottenham v city game on the barclays site on news----->Match Previews
J Beckford is my Gun rookie for this year have watched alot of him and expecting big things.

Your right it is a big step up but he has impressed he has already scored a brace in pre season for Everton, Moyes was stated saying he is a very important player... cahill doesn't play striker for everton he plays att midfield so its between Saha,Fellani  Moyes has already transfer listed Yakubu and he still injured and Anichebe has had plenty of time to Capture his spot he came through the youth system and has failed to impress, Moyes Wouldn't sign him without extensive scouting there on a tight budget at goodison, he is on my bench but i think he is a risk worth taking.

i want to choose two of these three

scholes - good team, getting old
n'zogbia - did well last season, average team
etherington - same as above

all are worth 6, unless there is a better combination worth 12 total

I like Carew but Agbonlahor seems the main striker. Carew might take a rest here and there and let Heskey fill in who is getting on a bit but still a good striker. He did make the England squad for so many years because he has a good work ethic ::). One to watch if he performs early as Villa should be on the rise again. Unless the O'neil stepping down effects their performance on the pitch :'(. He was a good coach for them.

N'zogbia is probably the best of those guys. Consistent even with a mediocore team. They could win a few more games with the emergance of Rodagella. It'll be a toss up between the other 2 for me. Both have their ups and downs.

Mine is for now:

GK: Jaaskelainen* / Carson
DEF: B. Ivanovic, L. Baines, T. Vermalean / R. Huth*, S. Carr
MID: D. Kuyt, A. Valencia*, A. Arshavin, A. Young, M. Taylor*
FWD: C. Cole*, K. Davies / Carroll

A little 1.0 Mil left in the bank. The * are the guys I'm not entirely sure on but still like. Top teams aren't represented that well ;D.
