Rich been copping a little more attention. More suited to SC though. Alot of expectation on him this year. So should be little by next year?

hmmm i am not so sure about him if brizzy lose power and black rich will get a lot of attention.

But will they lose them next year? Doubt they'll retire that soon. Another good 2 or 3 years in the both of them.

Post by: elephants on July 18, 2010, 11:42:31 PM
yeah black has been stuggling tith injury this year. and with brizzy playing so poorly will vossy do a damian hardwick youth policy move? i remeber that well. dream team captain joel bowden GONE!
Title: Re: 3rd and 4th year players
Post by: Justin Bieber on July 18, 2010, 11:45:04 PM
Voss tried to build a team for success now. Doubt he'll recruit rookies 1 year in (traded heavily last off season. Might do the same this year).

Post by: elephants on July 19, 2010, 04:11:04 PM
okay :) i am going to skip rich. i will have palmer and maybe rosa/connors as my mid pricers next year. although if connors keeps playing the way he is he wont be mid priced anymore :( :)
i might just have 1 mid pricer in palmer. he is a lock for me

Krooze, Grimes maybe even Bradley :o

Rich will have another year like this, not completely ready and will never be fully ready if teams keep watching him with 10 eyes.

Kepler is only 24, I was amazed when I heard that, he looks about 40!

Haha. Him and Pods look way beyond their ages :P.

Just to get this guys name out there, Brad Ebert. 3rd next playing next year. Ball magnet and averaging quite well this year with an 85 i think. Got to be in contention for me if he is priced low 300k's. Has potential to step up another notch if Kerr gets back in or if Swift gets into the lineup.

Bet If they watched midday TV infomertials....

Ebert worth a look but Also there is always a bit of a risk ascociated with these type of guys, but if it pays off you have the leg up on everyone else.

Wasn't happy when Crows went for Dangerfield and not for Ebert.
Ebert superb pedigree, but I see now why Crows chose Rodney.
Fierce attack, athletic, and leadership are qualities that now put him above Ebert from an AFL perspective.
These are qualities as he enters next year that will put him in many teams as he will further implement these qualities DT wise with more midfield time in the absence of Goodwin, Edwards, McLeod?
He will not play as small fwd next year, it's been an apprenticeship. ;)

yeah ebert wont be there for me struggling to make my mids now.

Want to take a little risk next year. Choose 1 high risk/high reward player in the Back, Mids and Forwards. Might work out, might not. But if it does, Would be a beauty 8).

Will S.Hill be named as a FWD next year?
Title: Re: 3rd and 4th year players
Post by: Justin Bieber on July 24, 2010, 04:21:16 PM
I would back him to be named as a defender ahead of a forward if he is MPP. Either way would have to be tempting 8). Hasn't slowed down his second year in.
Title: Re: 3rd and 4th year players
Post by: elephants on July 24, 2010, 04:52:03 PM
i doubt he will be named either. he has played mainly through the middle from what i have seen. i will grab plamer instead though.

to be honest i think depends what you're after.
im finding players are hitting near premium in their fifth years.
third fourth yr's are those most likely to go up the most yeah, so you may have two of each going into a year...like hellopplz said a high risk could be a fifth yr player that'll hit keeper status and save you a trade in a position...like joey did last yr for example.

any examples of 5th year players this year numberwang?

heath grundy? haha

pendlebury has had 10pt per game rise in his 5th. i'd need to do some research...i just remembered looking at my mock teams at the start of the year and finding 5-6yr is when they hit premium. but 3-4 usually best represent best value increase in cash and points.

Title: Re: 3rd and 4th year players

JRoo and Frawley seem the most likely options there.
Title: Re: 3rd and 4th year players
Post by: elephants on August 09, 2010, 09:28:03 PM
okay. not liking everitt. i am not liking jroo due to the fact he needs richmond to have a good game for him to play well. also j roo gets the best defender each week :) i will be lookin gat frwaley and everitt

But he is probably the only tall option that the Tigers can rely on. Strong mark means he should get a fair few like his cousin.

Reckon he'll get into alot of teams next year whether he wins the coleman or not.

Kepler Bradley's 4th year at Freo next year played 4 seasons at Essendon Prior

might take a risk With J Riewoldt

anyone thinking that Ballantyne or Dangerfield deserve antoher chance

Looking at Hill's scores he looks like a worthy ppick one question thought was he injured in rounds 9 and was he carrying something in rounds 17-20?

Hill was going to be one of my roughies for 3rd or 4th midfield spot. Too bad so many people have noticed him after blitzing the opposition ;D.

With his pace running through the midfield, could really get alot of possessions. Has a decent kick which will mean his teammates will look for him.

Whitecross third year backline might be another cheap backline player ended the season at around 200k

hill looking like he might be a really good player next year - but think i might just leave him for SC, not DT...

there always seem to be plenty of mids to choose from, and that is where all the rookies are likely to be...so not sure he warrants a spot in my midfield .

Patrick has served his apprenticeship as a small rotating forward - in the absence of Goodwin, Edwards and a stronger body he will form the core of the Crows mid-field  ;)
