Picked him as a keeper but that only applies if he averages 90+
Still won't be trading him till my teams complete anyway

I don't have him but I see Smith in the same boat. Try to get Lloyd, Laird, Whitfield in (have Hurn & Sic as my only 2 DEF premos) whilst holding on to Smith at eventually D6. Easier said than done tho.

Relax! Williams averaging 92 before the round, don't go punting him like many did with Brodie Smith this week. Rookies off the park should be the only focus.

I see him as a potential keeper, but might be D6 at best. Having him on my team is not doing any damage at the moment so just keep an eye on him week to week. I already have Lloyd and Whitfield, so don't need to look at Williams as an option to get one of those. The other defender upgrades can wait until later.

The only time to think about trades like this is when guys like Parker/Drew/Setterfield/Clark are banished from the field. Williams might be a good type to trade over the byes if you think you need a 10 point upgrade & some extra match points. Personally think he's a hold and good enough for D5/D6

100% this,

I always planned to trade him the week of his bye. I intentionally stacked the round 14 bye and Williams will be right up there as a sneaky upgrade to hurn, sicily etc..

Any insight into how bad his hammy is?

Normally 3-4 weeks?

Wondering if I hold or pull the trigger

A strain is normally 3-4 weeks, “tightness” is less predictable. Add in the Giants’ ability to not give any true reports on their players injuries, and it makes it anyone’s guess :P
