happy to sit on this, i like the Acres/Parker combo pick if you're wondering why Acres but cant decide on Acres or Billings
(https://imgur.com/HSdVuFp.png)
Not a fan of the Acres pick (even though you mentioned liking it) - too much unknown about the Saints atm, and near impossible to tell which guys from them will be good SC picks this year. Kind of like Pies mid, avoid starting any Saint and wait and see
Also a backline with none of Lloyd, Laird, Sicily, Simmo or Whitfield is just too weak imo

I don't mind it.
As far as Saints players ....
Roberton is a must if he plays R1.
I'm keen on Billings as a POD
love this structure

Big fan of the Dunkley pick, want to pick him myself but don't know how to fit him in haha, as I'm rocking the 3 premo fwds atm (Danger Dev Isaac).
And who doesn't love some starny93 in their life.
Stef risky if Man of Beard fires again...other than that, looks good.
The cheeky J Crisp pick is the real winner of this team, a very solid POD.
i like this structure to

Think it is a bit weak in mids with Miles at M4 and Libba M5 - Most teams have Miles at 5 so although other lines are Strong will they offset the scoring of a prem 4.
happy with this

Hey,
Defence is a little weak. Bont an interesting pick, as is Mundy. Reasons for picking them?
Other than that everything is looking solid.
dont think defense is that weak Williams, Smith and Robbo could all be keepers, new kick in rule will help Smith
Mundy is expected to get more mid time as freo need mids so yeah
Bont hasnt had a interrupted preseason and has a clean injury history and could still have upside
not changed much but debating on Witherden + Worpel vs D Smith + Roberton
(https://imgur.com/svKj5qN.png)
but i like Witherden + Worpel as both could easily be keepers opposed to the chances of Roberton being one
Yup Worpel for me. Trying to work him into my side myself
duur shoud avg more than mckay/hore right? if we get enough mid rookies will move duur to defense
This is one of the more balanced teams I have seen with Gawndy.
Not sure about the Worpel pick, how likely is it for a 2nd year player to breakout and average 95+?
Logue or Collins > cheap mid rookie via Duursma would almost be enough to upgrade Worpel to a keeper. Smith > Roberton or Lloyd > Laird also possible to free up cash.
being an Essendon supporter and having Worpel over D Smith shows how confident i am Worpel will be a keeper
more mid time with titch out etc and natural development

Rookies still a raffle ... but I’ll be honest I don’t even know who McKay is ? Lol

Ben McKay, brother of Harry, he's a 123k defender at North Melbourne. Been in the system for a few years now, he's a solid chance to play Round 1 with Durdin, Daw and Tarrant all injured.

McKay is almost a lock to play for North but he is key position so won't score much. Avoid.

which defender rookies have you got
just a structure i'm looking at
i obv know mids are week regarding premos but like id rather butters and laird on field then Logue and Zerret or whoever

I've got Clarke from Geelong and Hore at the moment. Need to find another, maybe Burgess if he is named. Could still plonk Mckay on the bench.
mids weak i know
but i rather cousins/greene/b smith on the field opposed to like fyfe/collins/fwd rookie
(https://imgur.com/MiYbr2S.png)
The 4 mids you do have should be top 10 and it definitely strengthens other lines.
built a team around the byes and i still like it

Looks good on paper. But when ya missing Grundy I would adjust. He’s a MUST.(if you saw me post don’t start him cos of limited preseason in another thread I was joking)
not changing this i swear

Nice team kilblufff! even though you have lack of premo defenders i love how even your team structure is, and that you have managed 4 fwd premos.
For rookies have you considered Francis Watson and Will Hayes in your team?
Also just a thought if you were still considering worpel you could go something like: scrimshaw to watson, kelly to worpel and newman to whitfield.
Also I wondering what was your reasoning for picking Ridley as i dont know much about him. and did you have any reason why you didnt pick cripps?

i think atleast 2 of the defenders i picked will become keepers the others will be good stepping stones
Hayes hasnt hown enough yet will watch today, will watch Watson to
nah im off Worpel, i'm taking chances in defense because unsure if guys like Lloyd or Whitfield will back it up and for that same reason im not to sure on Whitfield, and i actually think Newman can have a big year but will watch him this week
Ridley has been very impressive will get games and can see him going 75+ i like him instead of Collins etc and a better bye
Cripps wasnt in because of byes but i redid the team b4 i went to bed lol
been a few days
i'm pretty settled on my starting players but still deciding structure
it's like McGrath/Lyons vs Libba/Laird/LLoyd
(https://imgur.com/Vapji10.png)
decided libba/lloyd > lyons/mcgrath
cant really go Llaird cause byes

Hey kilbluff, just wondering whats your reason why you have picked moore over ridley now?

i dunno really
we have seen more of Moore he a couple years ahead of Ridley more chance of a breakout
Have you considered putting Burgess in Fwd (in place of Parker) and bringing in Hore at D8 so you can use the DPP Moore/Burgess DPP? If it has been discussed already then please disregard.

Hore even if plays rnd 1 is likely to get dropped for May
have since done this anyway
(https://imgur.com/K6i8LBc.png)
with a focus on an even bye structure with premos
(https://imgur.com/C31PUoq.png)
Nice Team - Personally think Libba at M5 is a risk prefer at m6 if you could.
Not sure of cash nut prefer Heeney over Kelly no effect on your byes.
Good luck
yeah cant afford Heeney could drop Hately i guess
i dont like the Walsh at m7 strat rather him at m6
to get Walsh at M7 i'd need to do collins at d4 and setters at f4 whih i thinks bad
final team
ppl will ask about Newman, but even if he lifts his average by like 5 which i think he will by a minimum will be an easy upgrade to a round 12/13 bye guy, and it allows Collins at d5
(https://imgur.com/rD784w7.png)
newman 8)
dunno if i should hold the cash
think i should then can get Laird or somebody cheap next week
(https://imgur.com/TYz9q5e.png)
bit of an update after this weeks trades
next 2 weeks will be banking cash to upgrade Hore, Walsh, Libba, ROB in the byes

final team
