Title: Who to bring in?
Post by: WhatMate on July 09, 2018, 03:08:27 PM
Pretty much have a must win match this week for me in one of my leagues (not focused on ranking). Fortunately I am able to double upgrade which helps.

I have come up with three options so far but am seriously struggling to pick which one would be the best option to get the win this week.

My opponent has Lloyd and Smith so the safe option would be to match him and bank on the rest of my team getting me across the line, but I could bring in Grundy who will match up against Stef Martin which could possibly net me some more points?

Cheers!

Lots of variables here.
Who are you replacing in the ruck?
Are you confident the test of your team can beat your opponent? If so do that.
Lloyd and Smith should be in your team come end of year so based on what you've said do that trade.

Grundy in for Nic Nat, should’ve probably explained that a bit better. Grundy will need to replace Nic Nat at some point too.

I’m not 100% confident, I think I have the better side  overall, he probably has more players with yo-yo like scoring which makes it hard to gauge. That being said he currently has 4 onfield rookies (pre trade) vs my 2 onfield rookies (post trade)

I'm still thinking option 2 - Lloyd, Smith, Nic Nat. Safest bet and will net you the most points.

Again, it depends who you are replacing Lloyd and Smith with. Nic Nat against Grundy will be interesting, youd think he would still score 70 odd.

If you didn't end up doing it this week say hello to Grundy...
Such a devastating injury for Nic Nat. Poor bloke.

Trouble if you kept Nic Nat and trouble if you traded to Grundy, a bit of a lose-lose it was.

Why trouble if he traded to Grundy?

He had his worst score of the season by about 30pts, paid top $$$ for Grundy when he will probably be 60k cheaper in two weeks.

That's a little dramatic then! Lol. Thought the might have been some minor injury or something.

You're not missing much,  most people would have him already and would have paid around the same. His price has remained pretty stagnant.
