Title: AF Round 8 trades
Post by: LEV on May 08, 2018, 10:40:43 AM
I know MacRae is top $$, but he is a must and im willing to pay for him.  So this week:

English > either Crossley or McInerney (whichever ones plays)
Crowden > MacRae

leaves me with 158k for next week.

I don't really know what to do about English. He's going to start losing cash soon, but I never really picked him as a money-maker. I think he will still be a handy ruck back-up through the byes, but my problem now is I moved him forward to get him onto the field a couple of weeks ago (and then he turned to shower).

Kind of hoping he gets a rest soon to help keep his price stable.

I got rid of him in AF this week, i would have last week but Guelfi stuffed that up and i had to play him  :(

My plan was to keep him for the byes originally but i did the same thing and moved him forward a few weeks ago as i was short in the forward line. There's no point in wasting a trade on a non playing RCK/FWD DPP at the moment to be able to move him around, unless you already have one. If you want him just as a forward back up for the byes then i guess you could but i wouldn't be relying on decent scores and he's going to leak cash. For me he's made his money, time to cut and run.

BE of 76 in AF which is a bit more forgiving than.. BE of 114 in DT

Crossley (1 game/69 points) looks alright as a downgrade option in DT or McInerney (2 games/average 50.5)

Who knows how many games they play though?

Likely to offload English and grab Crossley to bring in another premium forward.
Hopefully I'll have enough cash to grab Macrae the following week or may tough it out until after his bye.

Exactly my trades! However that only leaves me with $44k if I go Crossley.

I have gone Redden and Mitch Robinson - need to see Zorko perform when he gets a tag. Will see how he goes this week.

At the moment I've gone:

English to Redden with DPP
Christensen to McLean

God damn it, now I need English to cover NicNat, knew there was a reason I brought in Frampton being a R/F.

Can go Waterman and Crowden which will give me $1,009,000.

Thinking of doing Ed Curnow and one of Lachlan Keefe or Brad Scheer. Thoughts on those 2 rookies??

I was going through player averages this morning and saw Ed Curnow’s name up there. This is the first time I’ve seen him mentioned on these forums ;)

Yeah that's it. For me it's between him and Coniglio but I don't really see any Carlton players getting tagged...

Nah, I didn’t have the money. I brought in Crouch and Hogan, so not unhappy.

Might have inadvertently dodged a bullet Rusty if he ends up getting rubbed out.

My lad rang me and said Dad, i'm getting Ed Curnow. I said, mate, go for a proven gun. (The game's gone past me) :). Anyway he grabbed Ed anyway. Thank God he doesn't listen to me anymore lol
