Title: Round 5 - Sydney v West Coast - Saturday 1:45pm - SCG
Post by: Ringo on April 21, 2016, 08:29:32 PM
Another game 3rd v 6th only separated by %.  West Coast have looked good and with Priddis returning look strong.  However game is at the small SCG where Sydney seem to thrive so this may tilt the scales slightly in Sydneys favour.

So apparently we haven't played at the SCG since 2010 and have not won there since 1999  :-[

Swan's are favourites here and fair enough. Would be incredible if we get the W, but if we don't than as long as it's a solid showing I'll be content, well as content as I can be for a loss

Let's go Eagles! Win this and everyone takes notice!

Hmm, not sure, they have another midfield depth to cover. Would say its 80/20 to swans with him. Without him 75/25. Still backing in Sydney.

Hope we dont play like we did against hawks. Intensity is what im looking for!

Their mid depth is good, but he's still a big out. He's right up there for clearances even if his fantasy output had been down slightly

Yeah just a fish in a huge pond of them... Parker, Hannabery, Mitchell, Jack, LLoyd, Cunningham, scarily enough, theyll find a way to get clearances. We will get first use with Nic Nat but ;).

This is absurd.

I bring Papley in after 2 100 games, he proceeds to score 40 & 20. I trade him out for Byrne-Jones and he's had two shots already.

Not a bad opening qtr by Parker

6 touches, all contested at 83% and 7 tackles. Not to mention 3 FF's too

Papley 44% and 4 clangers is killing his score

His disposal has been putrid. A ton of turnovers so far, going at 44.4% and 4 clangers. I reckon he might have already cleared his DT  BE in that quarter alone.....

Hewett with the donuts that quarter and EMack just the two touches.

Parker I think is on pace to have most tackles in a game with 7 in that quarter.

Papley is in everything at the moment. Moves well and gets in the right spots. Like Rusty I kept him as I had Milera to offload. Decided to field him in preference to McCarthy and MBrown. Is a POD in all 9 of my FF leagues... only opponent who has him on the field is my old man in a family/public league. :)

What a 2nd Quarter from Nic Nat though! The goal helped at the beginning but I saw quite a few more HTAs in that Quarter.

Maybe they were trying to rest him in Q1 with the knowledge of rain coming? Still only running at 75% TOG, compare to Sinclair who is close to 90.

Papley and Mills were on track for nice scores but their 3rd has been quet, and now they are on track for those awkward scores which are debatable to bank

Would like to see them both go 75+ if possible, and I'd lock them in

EMack is the one killing me in both comps. I forgot the Buddy factor and the weather isn't helping, but I was hoping for at least 50 in both

Who will your choice/s be to bench for Mills RD?

I could bench either Kerridge or B Kennedy. Will probably bench Kennedy if Mills goes 75+.

I'm benching Menuadue, Kerridge v Freo should get a fair bit of pill and I see Bennedy pocketing a couple of goals with the Tiges lacking a really good small defender.

Someone needs to install a chill button in the ABC box for Nathan Burke. Guys been blasting West Coast all afternoon and slightly irritating to listen to.  :o

I probably wouldn't have benched him for Byrne-Jones or Ruggles as they were my other two defensive options but I was still hoping for a bit more.

A respectable second half from Hewett despite donuts in Q1 when the game was still up for grabs.
Should hold his spot and has put up a handy score of 60+.

91 from Mills means his BE will be low again, looking very good for a Rocky upgrade in 2 weeks.

So apparently we can't roll up to the SCG and play 20 minutes of good footy and expect to come away with anything.

It's also apparent that Sydney are a 2929277748 times better Tam than us in the wet. Lets pray for no rain through September.
