Sam Michael was delisted by Brisbane at the end of the 2014 season after playing 3 games in 2013. He topped up for Essendon in the 2015 NAB Challenge and has again been picked to top up. He played NEAFL for Redland in 2015, not really setting the world on fire, but always found his way onto the scoreboard, only being goalless in 5/16 games, and 3/16 without a point. It's interesting that he has been positioned as a ruckman, as he only got over 5 hitouts 3 times in the NEAFL (5, 10, 12). It will be interesting where he will line up for Essendon, at this stage I'm expecting him to line up at Full Forward

Sam Michael is one of the biggest locks for this year. At just 140k he can sit at R2 next to big Stef Martin and pump out 100+ scores each week. If he plays at Full Forward he'll just sit in the goal square, mark, goal repeat, with the occasional run in the rucks. The nicest way of describing Essendons ruck line up is sh*t. Leuy is good but will be injured, Jamar is older than my Grandad, McKernan's McKernan, Grimely won't be rucking long times and Nyon is young. If he does ruck he'll be pumping out Stef Martin style numbers with ease. If he sits at HB he'll dominate the intercept marks and make Rance look like a rookie.

Pros - Rookie Priced, Easy best 22, Can play anywhere, takes lots of Marks, Sam Michael
