New Delhi Trade: ZWilliams + Apeness
PNL Trade: Daniel Rich + Craig Moller
Reason: Looking to strengthen out best XV with guys with strong JS also. Moller also comes in to combine with ZClarke and Hannath.
Pacific give: Jack Martin + Jeremy Howe
New Delhi give: Andrew Gaff + Sam Darley + #40
Reason: Gaff helps our best XV and gives us a possible captain option. Giving up a lot for him in JMart and Howe but we feel the trade is balanced nicely.
Rico to confirm.

Confirmed
Pretty straight forward I think in this 4 for 4 deal. Libba and TMac are the young guns while Stevie J and Grundy provide coverage for Dublin while we get Mundy and Boston for coverage too. Boston isn't best 22 just yet and the slight pick upgrade for Dublin balances the deal out really well in our opinion
New York trade: Hayden Crozier
PNL trade: Jonathan Griffin
No fuss trade here. This helps both clubs providing NY with some ruck cover and PNL with HP's mancrush of Crozier ;)
HP/Daz to confirm
Cairo trade: Dion Prestia, Brodie Smith, Pick 4 and Pick 24
Cape Town trade: Shaun Higgins, Trent Cotchin, Nick O'Brien, Pick 9 and Pick 30.
For us, this is crucial to becoming a better side in 2016. While Prestia > Cotch, we believe Nick O'Brien makes up the difference between the 2 and improves our midfield depth, something we're very keen on doing considering how badly our midfield suffered from injuries this season. We're aware Higgins won't be a defender, but he'll be a significant scoring boost to our fwds and should be our F1. Brodie Smith was great for us in 2014, but let us down this year, we're of the belief that he potentially won't replicate that 2014 season again. Because we're gaining the extra player, we're engaging in a bit of a pick swap as well.
Memph/Chumpy to confirm.
Cairo trade: Luke Breust and Connor Blakely
Christchurch trade: Dylan Roberton
This trade basically works in tandem with the other one. We're upgrading Breust to Higgins and Smith to Roberton and also getting a slightly better scorer/player at present in NOB over Blakely (though he showed signs on debut in Round 23). Roberton will be our D1 having had an outstanding season and defenders of Roberton's age and average are fairly hard to come by.
meow to confirm.

Huge deal here between African rivals Cape Town and Cairo
We were on the hunt for a defender while Cairo wanted a forward. Brodie Smith fits the profile of our young team very well and given his down year drops our cap a bit compared with Higgins.
The same with Prestia and Cotchin. We drop our cap and get an as good, if not better young mid. Though Cotchin still has potential to be a 110+ mid I think (especially with teams tagging Dusty now instead of him).
Happy to let Nick O'Brien go and gamble on the picks as I love to draft :D

Dammit meow. I was going to ask after him - nice pick-up. Roughead is a good pick-up because he'll be a def/ruc next season (or maybe fwd/ruc) which makes him very valuable. I think he might keep it as well and be the support ruck to whoever the Dogs sign in the off-season to replace Minson.

Dillos give: Nathan Wilson & N31
Christchurch give: Josh Green & N37
Small trade to kick the Dillos off, looking for a stable F4 and Green goes alright, Meow sees something in Wilson so wouldn't be surprised if he turns into the next GAJ, upgrading his Pick 37 to 31 in case he doesn't.

Confirmed. On paper does look like we are paying a fair bit but Nicholls is a #1 ruck, we need one and we have dragged over his entourage bar Smith. Nicholls is 23 years old, went 85+ unsubbed this year and went 91 a couple years ago.

Griffin is depth for us, but we have quite a few Rucks. I've been after Crozier for a while, and we're expecting some shake ups up forward for us, so getting a little depth there prior to some other potentially big moves.

New Delhi Trade: ZWilliams + Apeness
PNL Trade: Daniel Rich + Craig Moller
Reason: Looking to strengthen out best XV with guys with strong JS also. Moller also comes in to combine with ZClarke and Hannath.
Confirmed. Rich as everybody knows could be a jet at SC but he's certainly a Best 22 player for the Lions, something Zac is trying to cement in GWS. Rich was a starter for us this season and with some of our backs on the decline and possibly retiring/losing back status, so thought we'd take the punt on Williams to continue in the future which would help us alot. Rucks are hard to find, and Moller is starting to show some improvements in the WAFL this season and as Rico said, they already have some other young rucks from Freo. Apeness had a big injury this season, but he has some potential so don't mind waiting it out on him as think he could be something decent some day.
Pacific give: Rhys Stanley + Sam Day
Rio give: Stephen Hill + Andrew Mackie + pick 43
Reasoning: I want a ruck and rate Stanley to push towards being starting ruck for Geelong. Jayman wants a starting mid and back. Hill is a good mid with good upside, and Mackie provides a nice D4 to help Pacific push for finals.
Beijing give: S.Gray + M.Weller + P.Davis + Pick 62
Rio give: T.Walker + Pick 25
Reasoning:
While Gray has been a superstar since he's been back in the Port team, I really need a stay at home forward to improve the Thunder, who had to rely on Chris Dawes a bunch of times this year (yuck!). We rate Tex and Gray on a similar level. Levi is taking a punt on Mav Weller who looks likely to be a fwd next year, who will be handy with a 75ish average, and Phil Davis who will be a solid depth defender should he get his body right. The pick upgrade is purely to even out the trade given Mav's likely DPP.

Pacific give: Jack Redden + Jarryd Blair + NAT pick 51
Tokyo give: Steven Motlop + Matt Suckling + NAT 48 + NAT 66
I love Motlop and willing to pay big to get him. We have a good stock of mids and think Motlop will keep DPP so offering up Redden made sense. As for the rest of the deal, it's pretty standard - Suckling helps our defence and think he will bounce back next year. Picks balance it out.

Cairo trade: Dion Prestia, Brodie Smith, Pick 4 and Pick 24
Cape Town trade: Shaun Higgins, Trent Cotchin, Nick O'Brien, Pick 9 and Pick 29.
Confirm.
Just wanted to correct a mistake, turns out Cape Town have 29, not 30.

quite frankly not that good and dont want him eating cap sapce. People seem to think he is great.
New York give: Harley Bennell, Paul Duffield and Mark Whiley
Mexico give: Jordan Lewis, Shaun Grigg and Scott D Thompson
Bennell is a troubled player but he is a gun so we have come to this decent conclusion.
Lewis is a very good midfield replacement and Grigg gives us cover, Duffield is there to even up that part of the deal.
JROO was keen to get Whiley who has the talent to get a regular gig at Carlton in 2016 and with us losing Grundy who plays every week we believe Thompson would be good defensive cover.
JROO to confirm.

After someone younger for Lewis, Bennell will do. It's a bit of a gamble, but I'm hopeful he can go somewhere that will enhance his fantasy potential. Like Whiley as a youngster and reckon the Blues will pump games into him next year.
A deal that took less than an hour to complete and all it took was on offer that caught my eye and heart <3.
PNL Trades: Conor McKenna
Christchurch Trades: Matthew Buntine
Reason: We weren't looking to trade McKenna as he showed a bit this year in the reserves for his first year in the game, so didn't think we would move him because he looked promising. But when Meowtwo offered Buntine, he fits our need for a young defender especially when we're looking to move a few others this off-season. We rate Buntine but he did get concussed twice this year and inconsistent games for GWS in the past have hurt. Potential is there, just like McKenna, just further along as McKenna could be anything the rate he is going, especially as a forward going forward.
I like both guys a heap so I was torn but have loved Bunts since prior to him getting drafted years ago :'(.

Confirmed
Buntine was a #5 draft pick and has shown his talent in patches and I would have loved to keep him but the points cap doesn't allow me to. McKenna showed some real (raw) talent and I think both these guys have the same potential scoring power at opposite ends of the ground. I'm pretty good for young backs with Lever and Andrews so could afford to let Bunt go.
It was an absolute breeze doing this deal with PNL. Love your work guys.

We rate Myers and had a great season last year when he was uninjured. Warnock has similar problems and isn't even #1 ruck but could pop up and score well next season and we need the ruck depth. Delaney as Rico said was there as he's a decent defender depth and has some points on him to help both sides with the cap.
Toronto give: Jamie Macmillan + Lachie Henderson + Brad Hill
Berlin give: Marco Paparone + Jack Watts + Jarryn Geary
Reason: I need defenders desperately and am getting three for one, maybe two here. Macmillan had a great year averaging 88 but I love Paparone and he had a decent season himself. Watts and Henderson are pretty similar in age and scoring potential, while Geary for Hill evens out the points differential between Macmillan and PapaGUN.

this is perhaps an overpay given how I rate my guys. But I need it for depth issues. martin will probably lose DPP, Buddy has question marks on him, Walters restings/small injuries so need a solid guy in Jroo.
losing boak hurts as i rate him easily over murphy given Murphy has injury issues, so really need him to play in the finals series which im not sure about.
Loads of people rate bruce but I want to win next year and jroo gives me a better shot.
Big big holmes fan i think he can be special given what he has already done. However with Goldy currie Daw i think im safe 9as long as daw given F/R)

Rio give: Stephen Hill + Andrew Walker + Mitch Clark
Toronto give: Mitch Robinson + Aaron Hall + Tom Cutler + Jackson Ramsay + Sean Lemmens
Reasoning: I need to improve my backling depth and rate Cutler and Ramsay pretty highly. My mids are solid enough so I can afford to give up Hill for Robbo who only averages three points less than him anyway. And Hall and Lemmens play for the Gold Coast which means I want them.

Rio give: Bachar Houli + Taylor Walker
New York give: Kade Kolodjashnij + Tom Lamb + Luke Lowden + Nat 12
Pretty big trade for both clubs here.
KK averaged 90 this year and is only 20 years old, so we agree that his value and worth is more than Houli who averaged a few points more but is 27 years old. The additional worth of KK is added on top of our first round pick (12) and up and coming prospect Tom Lamb to secure us Tex as we have been trying to find a forward for a long time now and Tex fits the bill.
We expect Tex to be a 85-90avg forward, so offering Pick 12, Lamb, Lowden and the additional worth of KK over Houli is more than fair in our opinions. We may be actually paying slight overs here, but when age, position of players and potential is all factored in we feel that this is a really good deal for both clubs

Mexico City give: Allen Christensen + Taylor Hunt

Christo is an important player to us, but think Eddie can at least go close to matching him next year. But obviously Eddie is a bit older. Confirmed!
As good as Eddie has been this year, an average of 86 was a bit of a breakout for him (usually around that 75-80 mark) whereas Christo has a few years of premium 90 avg scoring in his resume, so is a bit more proven in that regard. In a fwd line crying out for star power, we are happy to add in Sammy Gray who was fantastic in the back end of this season, but his future JS/scoring ability remains a bit uncertain.

Taking a bit of a downgrade on Ellis to strengthen our teams other lines. Plus one hawk in one tiger out is always good!
Let's get some new trades rolling.
Here's one from Cape Town and Seoul.
Cape Town gives: Nick Haynes + Cam McCarthy
Seoul gives: Trent McKenzie + Lukas Webb
Our reasoning. We rate Trent McKenzie quite highly and think that in the future he will be used in a more fantasy friendly role after having to 'fight out of his weight division (play on bigger and taller opponents) this year. Nick Haynes will probably do similar at GWS but, we prefer McKenzie and both clubs rate him a bit higher.
So the difference in the trade is made up by Cam McCarthy and Lukas Webb. McCarthy is ahead of Webb this season having played 20 games and kicked 35 goals and it's a risk trading him if he goes to a new club where he gets more opportunities.
However, he's no guarantee to be better at a new club. If rumours are true and the main guy at the club he's going to retires at the end of this year then he might have to deal with the best defender each week so we're happy to take a chance on Webb who showed some good signs this year and is an elite kick.
Confirmed
Trading away two elite kicking defenders who are sure to be good servants of Cape towns defense for years to come. But we wanted to bring in another young forward and I'm a fan of Haynes too.

Libba returning may have an impact on Pickens role, but we are confident he will never go back to being a tagger whilst Bev is at the helm. Joey will score more, which I'm sure helps Christchurch as they are in "their window" where as getting a player who is a few years younger and has the ability to average 90-100 with a pretty decent ceiling makes this trade beneficial to both teams

I like the looks of Yarran as a defender, and I'm happy to take the "risk" that he will be a decent defender. Pick 10 is also very handy. All of those players I'm trading have both up and downsides, so I suppose this trade is eliminating some risk for me.

Don't trust Yarran and think all the guys I'm bringing in have as much upside and the picks just even it out.
You dont know how good this feels to post this deal. I have been chasing this guy for 2 years and after Berlin snatched him from me last year im ecstatic to finally say he is a Dubliner.
Dublin Trade: Tom Liberatore
Berlin Trade: Adam Treloar + 18
Reason: while I think Libba has more upside, I like the consistency in Treloars scoring. I just need someone who can go 100-120 every week much like a poor mans sloane. I kind of feel That Libba and Treloar have the same value, however I have to pay something to make purp do basically and apple for apple trade.
just a cheeky jab here "Dublin losing should ensure I get my man"

^^ You typo'd Holz, Dublin is giving me Pick 18 ^^
But yeah. You can say Liberatore and Treloar are about equal, but why would I do a simple swap? It didn't make sense to me. The onus was on Holz to make the deal worthwhile because he was the one that wanted Treloar, and that Pick 18 does it for me. Besides, Liberatore would have an associated risk attached to him coming back from an ACL.

by the way this is why when people said I was in favor of no injury clause in the cap, I said I was unbias. This trade was planned in my head before i even got libba.
Mexico City give: Michael Johnson, Adam Oxley + Pick 39
Berlin give: Chris Yarran, Brad Hill, Mark Jamar + Pick 89
Sad to see MJ go, as I think he has a bit of football left (contracted until 2017), but was just after someone younger in Yaz who I think should get back to an 85+ ave at a new club. Oxley for Hill is simple, just after someone with a bit more JS.

Hill & Yarran didn't stay long... but yeah, MJ is contracted for two more years and is a quality scorer, which I need for the inevitable premiership I'll win. Oxley averaged 93 unsubbed this year... so... with no more subs... my logic is flawless. Jamar, well, what can I say? It's been a good 4 years.
RIO AND CHRISTCHURCH COMPLETE TRADE FOR GOLD COAST SUPERSTAR!
Today marks a significant day for the future of the WXV competition. It's not too often that an opportunity to secure one of the absolute guns of the competition rolls around, but today will be known as one of the defining days of this competition. In the following trade we see a deal that involves one of the best best AFL players of all time switch clubs.
Christchurch coach meow meow had the following to say: "We at Christchurch could not be more happy with this deal and think that it presents an opportunity to really challenge for the premiership, not only in the upcoming year but for many seasons onwards".
Gary Ablett jnr has long been a star player and probably the greatest SC scorer of all time. Any team with him in it is automatically a genuine contender for the premiership.

Christchurch give: D. Zorko + B. Frampton + N31

Christchurch get: R. Griffen + C. Ellis + N26
Toronto get: M. Kreuzer + T. Hunt + J. Stewart + B. Frampton + N31
Beijing get: D. Zorko + B. Newton
Reasoning: Needed to secure another quality ruckman to allow me to swing Ryder up forward and despite his injury history, Kreuz fits the bill. Didn't want to give up Ellis as I rate him pretty highly but I feel as though I have received decent compensation.
Toga and meow to confirm.
CONFIRMED! I still love you Griff.

Didn't want to lose Krooz as I think we are yet to see the best from him but the fwds were still our weakest line by a long shot. And I love Zorks!

Toronto give: T. Adams + A. Walker + K. Turner
New York give: J. Macrae + T. Cloke + N50
Reasoning: After weeks of chasing Macrae I am very happy to finally get my man. Cloke for Walker was purely to help me out with the cap, but hopefully Trav can get back to his 2013 form. Our forward depth isn't too bad so I'm alright with letting Turner go for a late pick to even it up a bit.

Although I was very hesitant to let Macrae go, Adams is a more than suitable replacement. Since acquiring Tex our forward line has plenty of depth so we're happy to let Cloke go. Walker might even get DPP, and we really like Turner as a future prospect
Toronto give: Jarryn Geary + Jonathan Freeman + N31

Confirmed. With the arrival of B Smith and T McKenzie we don't mind downgrading Pittard to Geary in order to get something a bit extra. The Lions look like they'll be backing in their young key forwards so Freeman should be getting more games and he's shown some decent signs already.
I also like picks and think I can get someone decent at 31 whereas 58 is a bit of a lottery.
Cape Town give: Curnow + Dumont
Buenos Aires give: N11, N22, Jacking Hiscox
Adds another start to our midfield and Dumont is a gun kid, not too keen on picks in this year's draft and shattered to let one of the best AFL name go but that's how it is. Memph and MC obviously believe they can draft some guns with the picks.

Confirm.
With my draft knowledge we feel we can get a couple of gems at 11 & 22 (there's still some good picks inside the top 30 people!). Curnow is not worth 11 hence us adding Dumont to the deal. But, we like him and as a good young kid with a game suited to SC we feel he has a lot of talent and is worth more than 22 and an unproven kid in Hiscox so that balances out the Curnow side of the deal.
I think what we get has the potential to be better than what Vinny gets but he gets proven value in Curnow and someone who's already shown good signs in Dumont rather than gambling in the draft.
Toronto Give: Ryder + Pick 41
Tokyo Give: Kieran Jack + Carlisle
Need a ruck and Ryder fits perfectly. Jack is a reliable 100 mid and Carlisle should go 75-80+ at the Saints as a def/fwd but should be able to cover them with some of my new recruits and pick 41 will be handy.

MJ is contracted for another 2 years, and is a proven starter for all teams except maybe a couple. I had a surplus of mids, which made Hill tradeable, and listening to feedback, am getting youth in return in Dale & Pick 47.
confirmed. Our end is the same so should be all good
Berlin trade: Josh Saunders + Jonathan Marsh
Mexico City trade: Pick 39
This is mainly Marsh for Pick 39, as I was going to delist Josh Saunders, who looked OK for a while actually, but did just about nothing in 2015. I like Marsh... I'll gamble I can get someone better at Pick 39.
JROO to confirm.
Confirmed. Don't mind Marsh and I need another defender with the retirements of Lake and Duffman. Saunders hasn't done much, but I'll take a gamble on him.
Christchurch trade: Shaun McKernan and Dillon Viojo-Rainbow
Rio trade: Pick 12
Adding last years WXV/AFL pick 24/28.
Even if McKernan drops down to 70 that's decent as a back up ruckman, and there's none available in the draft. Carlisle leaving the Bombers means Hooker has to play backline so someone is going to be needed to support Joe. If Essendon get Luey he'll be injured after about 5 weeks and Shaun will be #1 ruck again anyway.

We felt our team wasnt quite ready to challenge next year given the strength of some of the others in the competition so we have undertaken a mini rebuild this off-season. As one of our oldest players, and with plenty of ruck depth Martin was our most valuable asset and so we wanted to get good compensation for him.
Which we have in this deal with Pick 2 likely to be a real gem and Pick 12 also a potential best XV player. They are only picks though whereas Martin is a bonafide super premium and and captain option so that evens out the deal.

The real reason*: I'm pretty bored with Mexico + Dublin dominating the competition. It's time for a new premier, and a Martin with #1 ruck duties all season averaging 115 could go a long way to making Christchurch a serious competitor.

With big Daws moving to the Giants, it's natural to want the final piece to the puzzle. Reality is that he'll be battling with the younger and more Lobb and Downie and he's only played like 26 games in 6 years and has never been an exceptional scorer. On the other hand, Ahern was our first pick last year and while it's sad to see a future gun go, we're getting Pick 13 in return to go with Pick 9 which we got from Cape Town. Hopefully those along with 29 and 33 can help us get some good youngsters (something we actually kinda lack) that should be as good as Ahern long term.
Rio trade pick 5 + 43
Dublin trade: Scott Thompson + Nathan Van Berlo + Steve Johnson + 32
Reason: im really excited about sj but my forward line is stacked I have confidence in Walters at f5 ans walker at f6. So even if sj plays two more for 90+ he ia needed that much. Thompson bigger loss but I need youth in the mid. Nvb further hurting my mid. This trade could cosr me a flag.

I love Stef for coming out of nowhere to be an absolute god for us, but ultimately we thought we'd cash in while he's most valuable.
Pick 1 should net us an absolute star for the future and we're super excited about the prospect. We tried for a while to get Acres off JRoo and even longer to get Broomhead off Toges, so wrapping up both of them was super handy too. Plus the Nank, who should start getting more and more game time and show us similar stellar stats he showed in the TAC cup a few years back.

It's no secret we need a ruck. Belcho isn't exactly good, averaging 62 this year and 56 the year prior, and seems to get injured a lot but he is a ruck none the less.
London needs forwards so Clark helps and is fair compensation for Belly I believe. He may even get ruck DPP too but a really good young prospect in Fantasia is also added on top to make the deal pass because rucks are demanding high premiums.

We have pretty decent forward depth but, need more midfielders so are happy to acquire Graham who showed some good signs this year with a few tons. I think he could be a future best XV midfielder/utility player for us and if fit and playing from Round 1 could push for selection for our team.
Everitt is more proven and having fwd eligibility means he's more valuable than Graham so the pick swap is included to balance out the deal.

Confirmed.
Small trade, but Hocking will be handy. Fitz & Redpath likewise for New York potentially.
Moscow give: C. Ward, N70
Beijing give: C.Hooker, T.Bell, B.Newton, N8
Cal is one very good player, but we got an offer that was hard to refuse. Hooks is a solid swingman, and should hopefully be a main stay in the Essendon 22 and our Best 15.
Bell will be the replacement for Cal, not nearly as good at the moment but his decent 2015 along with a club move should only help him.
N8 + Newton even the trade, and N8 isn't as valuable as previous years but we are willing to take the risk. N70 is a throw in to give Togs' a chance to draft a player.
Toga to confirm.

Confirmed!
Needed another really solid midfielder to compete with the better teams so went after Callan. To get him we lose Hooker, who was just about our best player this year and should be D/F next year, along with Bell (who was fantastic this season), our first draft pick and Newton to compensate.

Ok on our side of it, we're now in a position where our fwds are set and deep so we were willing to give up one to strengthen our mids which aren't so deep. Giving up Elliott wasn't ideal given how much talent he has and that he's already shown he is a premo forward last year as a 22yr old, neither is going up to a mid who will be 29 next year, but it was the best offer we received and strengthened our midfield.

Reasoning: Pretty straight forward trade here. I've got enough best 22 defenders so can afford to spare Hunt and am taking a punt on Harwood instead. Rio were looking to improve their forward depth and gain Pedo who is a handy 70-75 forward, while Mzungu increases my midfield depth.

Taking a risk on Conca but his upside probably improves our midfield depth, Sinclair has battled with form and injury but showed some signs at the back end of the season and we are keen on the picks.
The draft isn't that bad and to have picks 18-20 (if the trades are passed) will be handy.
PSD 1 can also be a handy pick for us.

London trade: Brent Stanton + Mark LeCras + Pick 63
I acknowledge I give some valuable long term value in this trade, but I want to be a top 4 team next year and by doing this trade, I'm a better chance for it. LeCras in my forward line is vital; contracted for two more years. Stanton is contracted for next year with a clause for a second, so I hope to bank on two years for both of them.

Tokyo trade: Shaun Burgoyne + Nick Suban
Right. Well, Burgoyne should only stick around for one more year and I acknowledge that. But, he is starting defender for pretty much every team, and I need some firepower to make the push next year. Suban I just wanted for some depth; he averaged 74ish unsubbed. I guess there is also a sneaky chance at him gaining forward status, so there is that. Pick 15 is a price to pay, but one I'm willing to take if it gets me to the final 2 weeks of the comp.

Hard to pass up an opportunity to get a guy who could well be the best player in the comp in the next 5 years.
We also get Hurn to keep a pretty strong defense whilst Grigg moves again to come back to us :o
We do have decent midfield depth to cover for moving on Adams

Toronto give: Touk Miller + Taylor Garner
Cape Town give: Scott Selwood + Jake Kelly + Matt Dick
Reasoning: Was looking for a more established midfielder and although I'm getting a risky one in Scooter, hopefully he will be rejuvenated at a new club and can get back somewhat close to his best. Kelly will add to our depth and Dick will fill a hole down back.
Memph/My Chumps to confirm.

Although I've been
adamant on not trading Scooter all period, we're also super keen on what Took Miller brings to the table. Should be M/F and is a young ball magnet. Garner also has a lot of potential as shown late in the season.

Basically, it's no secret we need mids. As a Tiges supporter, I honestly don't think there's too much difference between Adams and Cotch (it may or may not be known that I'm not the biggest Cotch fan). Even if there is, Kamdyn and/or Hocking make up the difference. Laidler is expendable given our defensive depth and Hocking > 78 and helps the mid depth problem.

Colquhoun has shown good signs and in his second season back from an ACL can hopefully cement a spot. He gets plenty of the ball and is a few seasons ahead of the draftee we would have got at this pick so we're happy.
Late, late trade.
Cape Town gives: Trent West + Brandon Jack
New Delhi gives: Rookie 1 + Lewis Pierce
Ric to confirm
Reasoning - we both get ruck back-ups for our respective players. West for Martin for New Delhi and Pierce for Longer for us.
Also we need Rookie picks with 4 open spots so to have the #1 pick is very handy and although we're sad to see Jack go it's fair price to pay I think (especially when the good rookies go in the Pre-season draft)

West has never been a scorer, where as Pierce is an unkown and could be anything being young. But as Memph says, West will provide a backup in case Martin goes down

Ok here we go, adjusted trade between NDT, Mexico and New York
New Delhi trade: Isaac Heeney + Nathan Hrovat + Pick 12
New Delhi receive: Steele Sidebottom + Pick 18
Mexico City trade: Steele Sidebottom, Shannon Hurn, Shaun Grigg + Rookie 18
Mexico City receive: Heath Shaw, Taylor Adams + Pick 64
New York trade: Heath Shaw, Taylor Adams + Pick 18 + Pick 64
New York receive: Isaac Heeney, Shannon Hurn, Shaun Grigg, Nathan Hrovat + Pick 12 + Rookie 18
RD/AK/JRoo to confirm
Reasoning [please read]
On Mexico's part of the trade, and breaking it down. Firstly N64 was offered by NY for R18 as a separate trade because they weren't going to use N64 and needed a rookie pick.
and Hrovat now goes to New York instead of Mexico
Leaving
Mexico City trade: Steele Sidebottom, Shannon Hurn, Shaun Grigg
Mexico City receive: Taylor Adams, Heath Shaw
Sidey > Adams
and then Hurn + Grigg + the overflow for Sidey down to Adams for HShaw
Yes Shaw is coming off a monster season and Hurn off a shocker, but Shaw has been a 95-100 player his whole career, compared to Hurn as a 85-90. Hurn's down year has been due to injuries to other key possie defenders, meaning Hurn has had to play out of position. As an Eagles supporter RD is well aware of this. So factoring in the addition of Grigg + the overflow of Sidey down to Adams we feel this is right now.
On NDT's side we have added a significant upgrade in the first round. Most will agree that the top 14 or so players in this draft are elite and then there is a decent drop off.
And with New York, a few were concerned they weren't receiving quite enough. They now also receive Hrovat, and a N12 upgrade on top of the previous deal.
Hopefully that is better and for those that negged initially it moves the trade from neg-worthy to fair/just winning :)
Cheers guys
