I'll double check this with AK, but surely Heath Shaw gets the award for New York this year

it wasn't on a whim.

unfortunately Jelly wasnt able to three-peat

dont worry Goldy could score -10 in the final and he would still get the award.

I haven't done the 5-4-3-2-1 write ups for a long time (been too busy) but law of averages would suggest that RD is right though. Shaw a clear winner.

You don't even know his name, I'm sure he feels disrespected by that. I think you should trade him to Cairo where he'll be properly cared for.

Hanners did miss a couple of games and had a couple of low scores whereas Stanton was reasonably consistent and not a lot of deviation.  Shaun has been shorn to Shane

The Top 5 from the Cape Town Best and Fairest count (based on a 5-4-3-2-1 system) are no surprise.

Josh P. Kennedy   41
Mark Blicavs   35
Stefan Martin   33
Trent Cotchin   30
Shaun Higgins   21

Which means JPK is the best and fairest again and Mark Blicavs is the runner-up in his first season at the club.

Rio de Janeiro 2015 Best and Fairest 5-4-3-2-1 System.

1- Sam Jacobs (39 Votes)
2- Marc Murphy (38 Votes)
3- Bachar Houli (29 Votes)
4- Bernie Vince (24 Votes)
5- Jack Riewoldt and Stephen Hill (22 Votes)
7- Gary Ablett (19 Votes)
8- Elliot Yeo (18 Votes)
9- Patrick Cripps (16 Votes)
10- Adam Schneider (9 Votes)

Murphy looked to steal it from Jacobs polling votes in all the last 8 weeks to nearly win it! Ablett played 5 games, 2 in the first 2 weeks with a busted shoulder and still got 19 votes. Vince had 2 votes at the half way mark of the year and finished on 24! Yeo and Cripps the Jags young guns in 8th and 9th will sure to be in the votes tally for many years to come.

Congratulations: SAM JACOBS!

Toronto Wolves 2015 Best and Fairest

Although it may not look as such, it was a tighter count this year! (I didn't even bother counting votes one year when Pendles was at his dominant peak)

Pendles probably $1.10 to take it out coming into the count today, and although his output was down a little on previous seasons the footy gods were hellbent on getting him across the line. Had a number of fortunate games where he just did enough (1 or 2 SC points) to poll, but ultimately 5 BOG performances were too much. Congratulations on your 4th straight club Best and Fairest, Scott Pendlebury!

Tally
1. Scott Pendlebury (26 votes)
2. Jack Ziebell (11 votes)
3. Isaac Smith (10 votes)

4. Richard Douglas (9 votes)
=5. Matthew Pavlich, Ben Cunnington (8 votes)
7. Jack Crisp (7 votes)
8. Andrew Swallow (6 votes)
9. Mitch Robinson (5 votes)
10. Ryan Griffen (4 votes)
=11. Jamie MacMillan, Sam Butler, Tom Hickey (2 votes)
=14. Rhyce Shaw, James Kelly (1 vote)

Under a 3-2-1 system (33% of the team getting votes is just not right) we have joint winners.

A dominant back half of the season (11 votes in 4 games!) saw Aaron Sandilands catch up and tie with Matthew Boyd.

17 - Boyd, Sandilands
14 - Mitchell, Picken
12 - Zorko
9 - Roberton, Shuey
8 - Hartlett
4 - Elliott
3 - Dempster, Gibbs, Garlett
2 - Stringer
1 - Gilbert, Scully

I was toying with the idea of including last week since Christchurch played, just not in WXV. The votes in that game would have been:

3 - Zorko
2 - Sandilands
1 - McKernan

What the heck, change it I shall. Sandi is the sole B&F on 19 votes!
