Final Standings fro the Group Stages:(http://oi58.tinypic.com/332baqu.jpg)
16 teams are gone already. 16 still stand tall. It's time for the knockout Rounds! No more chances, you lose, you're out! Tough matches for the Bears, Storm and Lions as they come up against undeafeated teams. Purple will surely be happy with the amount of WXV teams getting through. But will they stay there? No easy games in the Champions League as I said when this was just a star in the night.
Hoods, Bashers and Elephants. Take a good hard look at yourselves. Did you deserve to be here? Obviously just being there was good enough for you guys.
And Dublin! 5th least points against? The Ales and Saints, the other two undefeateds are 1st and 2nd least. The 3 best or the 3 luckiest?
Any questions or enquires about why you're playing who you're playing ask below or check the first post in the discussion thread: http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,103822.0.html
Christchurch the lowest scoring team in the group finished 3-0 and progresses wow! English Lions would fancy their chance. However I would also say we got lucky, 11 of the teams that didn't make the knockouts scored more points than us over the last three weeks.
As for me, Hastings Hurricanes huh, the team I managed for a season. Well, they are about to be taught a lesson by the Eskimos.
Tried to tank last week and still won. Will try to win this week and lose.

Hey, you were one of the 3 Euro teams to make it, good effort ;). And think only a few teams could win this anyway :P.
Poor Poor Iceland :(. Sooooo close on that percentage! Good luck Owls who just pipped us, no easy beats in Berlin, unless Fyfe misses again ;).
And PNL Vs Mexico rematch from last round in Worlds! Bring it JRoo!!
@PB, I fixed your problems at Hastings :P didn't you hear? "The Premiership is a sure thing", much like my victory here :P
Both my Brewers and Hurricanes finish first in their groups 8)
@HP, I won last week against bloomin Serbia without fyfe, how will the owls stop me if I have him this week? :P
Excellent work as always Levi! And I am most certainly happy at the five worlds teams making it through. Not surprised though.
Reckon I've talked enough shower for one day.
Reckon zac Dawson should be on the GF poster :P

Okay Hastings, what have you got?
1992.5 * 0.7693 = 1,532.83 which is our highest score this tournament by a fair margin.

Round of 16 Final Results
(Drag image to new tab to view)
I may have made a mistake so let me know if you see one.
UAE Dominate
UAE Tigers(1595.53) Defeated Macedonian Wolves(1358.22)
Final Scores: (http://oi58.tinypic.com/o8t3xs.jpg)
The Tigers had some massive scores including Swan(211), D.Martin(166) and S.Martin (162) to completely overpower the Wolves in this one. Wolves and all other teams who got knocked-out this week can hold their head high as making it to the Round of 16 can be considered a success. The Tigers however will be looking to the final 8 and beyond.
Reideers Take Over Behind Swan
PNL Reindeers(1500) Defeated Mexico City Suns(1480)
Final Scores: (http://oi61.tinypic.com/349f61s.jpg)
A very tough week for the Suns, going down in both WXV and the Champs League. How about PNL though? Their scores so far read; 1483, 1438, 1529 and now 1500! That is some sort of consistency and this will hold them in good shape moving further along in this competition.
Brewers Scrape Through
Berlin Brewers(1322) Defeated Oxford Owls(1183.06)
Final Scores: (http://oi62.tinypic.com/2my1dtu.jpg)
Both teams played pretty badly but in the end where were those Owls? 1183? That might be the lowest score of the whole comp so far! Brewers will be glad they didn’t have a slightly harder opponent as they only would have beaten 1 of the other 14 teams this week with that effort.
Bears Win AXV Thriller
Bangladesh Bears(1504.75) Defeated Australian Ales(1484.75)
Final Scores: (http://oi62.tinypic.com/mr5vtv.jpg)
What a close match this one was! Two AXV powerhouses battled it out and the Bears behind a massive Sunday performance by Garrick Ibbotson saw them home by just 20 points. Can the 2 time AXV Premiers add a Champions League trophy to their collection?
Dublin Roll On
Dublin Destroyers(1594) Defeated Swiss Storm(1317.68)
Final Scores: (http://oi57.tinypic.com/9jgbxf.jpg)
Storm with the 3rd lowest score of the week just isn’t gonna cut it against a team like Dublin. Can anyone beat Dublin? The clear favourites to win it all are now just 3 wins away from Champions League glory.
Eskimos Raise Bar
Kathmandu Eskimos(1533.21) Defeated Hastings Hurricaness(1341.86)
Final Scores: (http://oi60.tinypic.com/f1iaok.jpg)
The Eskimos had Duryea(29) on field which means they could have got even more which is scary for anyone who is versing them. The Hurricanes’ injury list finally caught up with them and they’ll be on the way home. Perhaps after a few parties on Copacabana Beach?
Badgers Smash Weakened Crocs
Bradford Badgers(1490.74) Defeated KL Crocodiles(1384.74)
Final Scores: (http://oi61.tinypic.com/4hwoq8.jpg)
Badgers just keep rolling along doing their thing. KL perhaps a pre-tournament favourite, couldn’t hang with Bradford and would have loved to have GAJ or Beams on the park instead of Matt Rosa. The Badgers have had some good scores with some of their guns underperforming. If they can get it going they may be the ones to win it all.
Saints Go Big
Christchurch Saints(1559) Defeated English Lions(1344.03)
Final Scores: (http://oi62.tinypic.com/2317y8.jpg)
Perhaps meow was just bluffing his way through the group rounds? This sort of score doesn’t go unnoticed though and the Saints prove why they are at this stage.
Again if you see any mistakes let me know.
Oh wow, 3rd lowest score and I progress!
I wrote us off definitely after the week I had... now I get Fyfe back next week >:D
And great work as always Levi!
And for my Hurricanes? Ah well, I never said the Champs league was a sure thing.
Well that's everyone from euros out :P

Eskimos > Ales
Am keen for next week, I think it's the Saints now? Going to be tough will need Eddie to step it up against Essendon this week.

^Yep
Damn it, went it with 3 teams and didn't even make it past the Round of 16.
I'll be back next year... hopefully with Cairo included. :P
