For the first time in his career, Will Langford became a senior regular across 20 games last season. Famous for his three goals in the 2015 grand final, Will has been unable to meet those lofty standards ever since with 7.15 on the scoreboard and a flat disposal count that rarely goes far beyond 20. He had the worst efficiency of any midfielder in the comp last season at just 62%.Langford will again have selection pressure as the Hawks look to give youth greater opportunity. A major limitation for Langford is his inability to hurt the opposition with ball in hand, which is a major problem in the Clarkson system which has traditionally valued ball retention and disposal quality. Expect much of the same this year, and for that reason he appears unlikely to warrant selection. -
